*Fouad asks a question about poses* guy: well for me as a man I feel that at least for me that I need to do everything I can because my genetics are shit and that’s what I had to do to make it in this industry
Iain is great for being so open about anxiety/depression. Same thing when Demar Derozan started talking about it and awareness spread in the NBA. Great role model and ambassador for the sport
Iain, thank you for delving into your personal life and acknowledging you take an SSRI. To hear a superhuman of a man admit he has anxiety is very informative to hear, it helps de-stigmatize anxiety and mental health. Respect man. Also Fouad, I also appreciate how you are very open with your anxiety as well. It is good to see we are in a day of age where these topics are accepted.
That first part on anxiety was just what I needed right now been going through a hell of a lot and been feeling a lot. To hear this being spoke about helps me not feel as alone. Thank you so much
Hearing Iain and Roman talk about what they’re going and went through is very important in the sense where, it’s ok to have these thoughts and feelings, but moreso important to have a good support system or method to get through the tough patches
Fouad, looking extra swole. Great podcast again. The anxiety, depression discussion was very insightful and even made me feel better about my own anxieties. Good to know you're not fighting alone.
Iain opening up being himself more and more is honestly amazing too see, no doubt in my mind he is gonna have and leave a huge impact on bodybuilding and help alot of people deal with their issues and remove the stigma about just "manning up and getting on with it"
It's great to know that even you guys who I look up to deal with anxiety...I'm almost completely paralyzed by anxiety just to do everyday things or interactions...I'm 22, single an unemployed. Waiting for these podcast an working out gives me something to look forward too in life an not just ending it all
Shit, you just described my situation perfectly and ironically we are the same age lol. I finally got employment a month ago and things are getting slightly better so I hope your situation improves too brother.
Been there my dude; you may not feel it every moment, but you got this. Get your loved ones around and ask for help if you need it. that's what got me through x much love 'tomorrow is another day'
So I love that Iain talked about his personal use of SSRI and how it has helped him. As a mental health advocate and a former soldier who has experienced my own battle with mental health yalls open conversation will help those people on the fence but who are still struggling. Truly appreciate this podcast!
Big respect to Iain for being so open and transparent about his mental health issues… he’s somebody I look up to because of his no bullshit demeanour and rational thinking on most topics - for someone from the outside who seems to have so much resolve it means a lot to realise that he’s just like all of us. I’ve had my own issues lately and this really means a lot. You guys are the best.
I have a diagnosed mental illness. Took the meds for 2.5 years. Got back control, in all that time i never stopped training. The meds made me look like shit like a water bag. I dieted down. Competed. I placed fifth. Didnt even take any PEDs. It wasnt a big comp or shit like that but for me it mattered alot. Because before the diagnosis i always wanted to compete and be a bodybuilder. Even then i never missed a day in the gym. I feel alot better hearing you guys talk about this. Right now i am struggling to get my thyroid and my metabolsim working to the normal i used to be. It brings me down. But i decided to keep working out do my cardio and eat clean. I cant give up. And now that i heard all this. No matter what comes my way. I am going all in. Thankyou so much guys. Iain you will never know who i am and honestly it wont even matter. But you are an amazing human. This is the greatest time for bodybuilding in my mind.
Fouad I just want to thank you really much for the timestamps and labels you put up for all the episodes. I can guess its some work that may be annoying, but it serves so much value. Thank you really much!
Arguably one of the most important conversations had on this podcast. Thanks Iain for sharing. If your brain isn’t making enough happy juice it’s always okay to supplement. This was a great step to normalizing that
The talk about anxiety and depression is much appreciated by me and I'm sure many others. I feel like in the bodybuilding sphere this isn't talked too much so respect to you guys being open about that. :) Talking about something so personal isn't easy but I'm sure it's gonna help a lot of people watching this.
Just started taking SSRI a week ago, and this video couldn't have been better timing, always felt worried how long I'd love with this fatigue and stuff, and if I'd normalise my schedule, but ian powering through is definitely uplifting, God bless yall
As a bodybuilder and someone with depression and anxiety since I was a teen and am now in my mid 30’s. I appreciate so much for men getting on a podcast and talking about there feelings and mental health. We go through life putting up such strong walls to hold us up and we forget how to let others in. Be true to yourself, hard working, and never quit attitude. Let’s get it ladies and gents! 💪💪
The first few minutes were very important. Hearing that men like you have to deal with the same shit makes it a lot easier. It’s so good that men are able to talk about this without being discriminated or some stupid other bs. Thank you- really
Thank you, for talking about anxiety, and the challenging of living with it, and overthinking everything you can think of. I have the same challenges, and my wife is the only one that knows about it other than me posting this now. You guys have been an amazing help talking about the subject now, and on some of the podcast in the past. Thanks again!
Hey Fouad, I've actually managed to get rid of my anxiety attacks, but I used to have them everyday in school. I didn't even know what was wrong with me, but I know that pressure cooker feeling, and your heart just gets faster and faster until you run out the door, I used to get in so much trouble because of it. There's loads of stuff you will learn, and I am so glad you are talking openly about it, you're an inspiration. The best thing I learned and that I hope helps you, is that anxiety feels like you're being pushed off a cliff. All your instincts and physiology is telling you, you're in danger, you need to get out, and that you're gonna fall. Try at some point to give in to that pressure feeling. Instinct is telling you it's a cliff, but when you fall, and you land, and it was only a 2 inch drop, from then on out my anxiety improved everyday, until the panic attacks went. I wish you the best of luck, you're doing great, God bless.
I’m 17 minutes in and this is by far the most helpful to me of the hundreds of these I’ve listened to. Hearing the openness is making me pinpoint what I go through
The way Iain explained his anxiety is exactly how I am with everything. Overthink a lot of things sometimes one thing to the next and can’t control it all the time. Especially coming from someone that has mostly recovered but stills deals with an eating disorder know how Iain feels. Helped hearing you guys talk about it and it has been suggested to me to try anti depressants so might look into it.
You could honestly see the excitement on Romans face when Fouad said, “We should really talk about that” when referencing Hosstile sponsoring him. It was honestly cool to see. You can tell he really wants to be apart of the brand.
Iain's point from 7:25-7:50 rings a bell with me. I'll sometimes look into the future and look at all the negative things that could happen, rather than just crossing that bridge if I came to it and dealing with it then. It can take over your life and be debilitating if you don't seek help.
Much appreciate the open talk about anxiety and depression. Been on meds on and off for years, and it pains me to see there's still a stigma on mental health issues. No one needs to suffer through this alone. Thanks!
Iain, is awesome with sharing real experiences and being open and truthful. I think the discussion of mental health and anxiety, is amongst the best and most useful serious content in these podcasts. They are always fun and entertaining podcasts, but talking seriously and honestly about serious issues, is going to be super useful for many listeners. Well done Fouad and Iain.
TY for sharing your personal stories - really awesome to hear men coming forward talking about anxiety. Congrats to Melissa on her new job woohoo! And another congrats - heard you signed Brett Wilkin to Hosstile- hope to see him on the podcast soooooon:) Would love to see some female Hosstile brand wear...a small tee now would end up past my knees:)
It’s really refreshing hearing you guys talk about medication and mental health. Too many people in the industry just put on a face and act like nothing ever bothers them
I used to think Iain was the most perfect person, so to hear him explain the same things I feel, it's inspired me to seek help. Thank you guys, and for this podcast, it feels like I have 4 friends.
The candidness about anxiety is cool and it's nice to see this being discussed openly because many top athletes in almost every sport don't really ever address these topics while they are still competing in their respective endeavor. Good shit!!!!
57:56 Fouad: Can we move on please? Guy: No, im excited. We're talking about cooking and making things. As a home cook/baker, I'm liking Guy more every episode, lol. Always look forward to these when I see the notification pop up. 💪🏽
Man this podcast was needed today. I had a anxiety attack im convinced and after listening to you guys im gonna talk to my dr about it. i ve had other situations like it but always denied it was anxiety. It ironically yesterday started over a flat tire and the spare ended up being to low to be useful and my mind i cycloned till i started the sweats couldnt control my breathing etc
Watching this while off work for stress/ anxiety. I'm glad that Iain could openly talk about his thoughts and what he is taking. I've not considered medication but what thoughts Iain says that he has sound similar to what I think too. I'm not saying I'm gonna jump on the meds but it's opened my mind to considering them. Always enjoy the podcast but appreciating this episode even more so.
Litterly had a Anxiety panic attack or what ever listening to the whole discussion about it don't know what happened I had to leave the podcast and skip this part heavy breathing sweating everything 👀I know it's a important topic but I kinda couldn't handle it came back to watch the rest of the podcast great podcast again keep up the good work fouad Bro chat and your channel in general is the best thing possibly could happen to the bodybuilding community 👍
Cannot explain how important the first 20 minutes is. Men dont get the chance to talk about this that much, and Fouad has been so upfront about it, it is so important. Iain deserves so much respect for embracing the changes he made, it is hard. Love you guys.
The openness of physical and mental issues in the World of Bodybuilding is perfect to let others know they are not alone in the struggles of life.....everyone has issues and it’s all about owning it, dealing with it, excepting it and getting the help they need...I have learned to live with my pain, it’s now part of my life, I accept it and I can live with it and I’m happy....this is why your podcast rocks, it’s honest.
Roman has a great idea. Even though most of your neighbors are older, I’m sure they have other members of their family or friends that can use your products. Word of mouth is a great inexpensive way to market your brand & products. Example: how many products being sampled at Costco do you see ending up in people’s carts that day. Plus older people can benefit from more protein and Aminos. You can educate them on this since most people don’t get enough protein and sarcopenia is a real issue in our aging population. Keep up the great work!!
Seeing some of the biggest guys on the planet talk about their insecurities reminds me that many people's biggest obstacle is themselves. I am better for having seen this. What a great FN podcast man. Thanks Fouad. I continue to use fowl language describing this show. It's not just for bodybuilders.
Really amazing stuff from Iain being so open about his anxiety. Rather than Roman's idea of giving the supps to the neighbours, take samples for the workers going to your gym. Test any future high stim products with them and send them back to your brother bouncing off the walls.
I love me some bro Chad, thank you fellas. 🇨🇦😎💪🏽 Thank you for talking about anxiety and depression, I became blind nine years ago never had anxiety had it so bad, got cancer a couple years afterwards the anxiety came even worse. I said fuck this and I stood tall and became fearless.
Iain and Roman's honesty is incredible - btw Guy Xanax is a benzodiazepine (for panic disorder/attacks) -- similar to valium - SSRIs and SNRIs are antidepressants but also are helpful for anxiety - this is important stuff - Fouad always coming through with shit that matters
As a man who lost his brother to depression, and 7 years as a infantryman in the military - it's humbling to hear guys I look up to discuss their own battles with depression
Appreciate it a ton boys. It’s nice to know other people are going through the same thing. And I don’t mean this in the misery loves company way, but to know you’re not the only one is quite refreshing. Great show guys
This podcast means more to me than you can imagine. Thank all of you, literally no matter how bad of a day I’m having I can count on you guys to make it better. I love you guys for what you do.
All I really wanted to say to young guys out there....no matter what you are doing, if you care, then break the fucking mold and follow your heart. You can do more than one thing at a time, but don't neglect your passion, if it is your body. It will speak to you every day of your life.
Great discussion fouad as a trained clinical therapist and someone who has taken an SSRI for 20 years, I really commend you for talking about this topic it's such an important discussion for others to know they're not alone in these situations
I love the mental health aspect of this episode. Going from being anorexic to wanting to be a professional bodybuilder I found a lot of drive but self pressure. And when Roman was talking about looking over his balcony and thinking it's better not to be here and Iain said " I'm the same but more with little things that don't matter" (can't spell the word he used) he made me feel I wasn't the only one to have that thought process and it's horrible to have but I'm glad I'm not the only one that does. Bro chat has become such a great thing for laughing, information, picking up people's moods. Great job guys, much love to you all ❤️
I absolutely love the fact that these guys are always so open about shit that most guys keep hush hush!! The mental health discussions and treatment is the honest shit that may save someone life one day.
Thanks for opening up about this I’ve been struggling with this since I finished radiation for prostate cancer and loosing most of my strength…. Don’t want to embarrass myself when I go back to the gym.. but tired of feeling weak… I’m going back today Thank you guys
BEST. FUCKING. PODCAST. EVER. Thank you guys, for being so open about everything and basically just talking as if no one is listening/watching. I really appreciate you guys talking about anxiety. I don't have it too bad, I'm more paranoid than anything (I think it always was that way, but being Marine Corps Infantry and spending 7 months in Iraq in '04 made it worse. I'm the kind of guy that will run to the window to see who is driving by. Every single time, no matter what, I have to see if they're gonna turn into my driveway. It's almost like I feel there's someone out to get me). I wish it wasn't that way, but it is. Anyway, thanks for such a great podcast.
Guy’s ability to make every topic about him is genuinely impressive
🤣🤣
I mean I love him but he does just make me roll my eyes some times 😂😂
*Fouad asks a question about poses* guy: well for me as a man I feel that at least for me that I need to do everything I can because my genetics are shit and that’s what I had to do to make it in this industry
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's kind of a genius in that way....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Iain is great for being so open about anxiety/depression.
Same thing when Demar Derozan started talking about it and awareness spread in the NBA.

I literally pray every morning you drop a video lol
I agree , he’s bee slacking though....
@@gregelliott4769 not really. He drops two brochats or a bro chat & bb&b every week
@@gregelliott4769 yeah man when when of your best friends pass away it can slow things down for a little. Be a bit more considerate.

I love that 290lb Roman is out here looking out for his elderly neighbor that shit so wholesome
That first part on anxiety was just what I needed right now been going through a hell of a lot and been feeling a lot. To hear this being spoke about helps me not feel as alone. Thank you so much
Couldn’t agree more Joe!
Huge respect to all of you for talking about anxiety and depression.

Fouad, looking extra swole.
Great podcast again. The anxiety, depression discussion was very insightful and even made me feel better about my own anxieties. Good to know you're not fighting alone.
Roman gets cut off the most but every time he gets his word in its always fucking gold lmao
Iain opening up being himself more and more is honestly amazing too see, no doubt in my mind he is gonna have and leave a huge impact on bodybuilding and help alot of people deal with their issues and remove the stigma about just "manning up and getting on with it"
Daily depression medication right here. Thank God for this podcast and Thank you Fouad and the entire crew. You guys make our days better every week.
This podcast has become such a great escape from the day-to-day bullshit. Switch off for a couple of hours.
It's great to know that even you guys who I look up to deal with anxiety...I'm almost completely paralyzed by anxiety just to do everyday things or interactions...I'm 22, single an unemployed. I’ve been there man. Keep your head up and know this is just a passing phase that’s only going to make you stronger. 🙏
This was my 20’s too man. You wait and battle it long enough and you’ll conquer it and do great things
You can do this. You are NOT alone, OK? You have a community here, with common interests. Let us give you a hand. We can help you. 👍💪🤠❤

Hahaha thats awesome, your blessed man!
Surprising lol
This is so awesome! Lol
How did you do that lmao
Arguably one of the most important conversations had on this podcast. Thanks Iain for sharing. If your brain isn’t making enough happy juice it’s always okay to supplement. This was a great step to normalizing that
Roman is the best! Such a great addition to the podcast. Can’t wait to see him compete next year.
The talk about anxiety and depression is much appreciated by me and I'm sure many others. Be true to yourself, hard working, and never quit attitude. Let’s get it ladies and gents! 💪💪
You guys seem to even know when the world needs your new podcast to drop.
The first few minutes were very important. Hearing that men like you have to deal with the same shit makes it a lot easier. It’s so good that men are able to talk about this without being discriminated or some stupid other bs. Thank you- really
anxiety is a fear of future, depression is remembering the past, look around and live in the moment
Such an important podcast. Many of us are suffering in silence. Mix this with a little Seth get your priorities straightened out
Hey Fouad, I've actually managed to get rid of my anxiety attacks, but I used to have them everyday in school.
Roman is the gift that keeps on giving. 🎁😂❤️
I’m 17 minutes in and this is by far the most helpful to me of the hundreds of these I’ve listened to. Hearing the openness is making me pinpoint what I go through
First part of the podcast was like a breath of fresh air to hear - appreciate it guys
I love that they are talking about real life issues. Mental and emotional issues are real for everyone.
Ian is awesome for being so real and just open with a lot of touchy subjects
I'm waiting impatiently for the AC prediction....i can't wait to see what you guys are gonna bet on😂😂
Huge respect to Iain for sharing. We can relate and thank you man
Hosstile should absolutely sponsor Roman. He literally emulates what the brand stands for.

Another awesome episode, Fouad. Keep up the great work!
It’s really refreshing hearing you guys talk about medication and mental health. Too many people in the industry just put on a face and act like nothing ever bothers them

Shoutout to Iain for the effort he gives this show so close to his competition. We appreciate it!
Thanks Fouad. I thought I was going to actually have to work this morning. Now I can just watch this.
So much value in this first part of the podcast. Glad you guys always keep it real ❤️💪🏼

A great way to start my day! Thank you Mr. Fouad and the crew🧡🔥

Huge respect to Iain. 🙏 I can so relate to his feelings. Hopefully, I can find similar relief.
Great podcast guys. Very informative.
Pumped up Roman protecting his neighbor from the salesman if fking awesome haha I love that.
Roman has a great idea. Even though most of your neighbors are older, I’m sure they have other members of their family or friends that can use your products. Fouad this is why you gotta keep doing these podcasts. You help a lot of people in a lot of ways!
Holy shit...this was a deep as start to this podcast!!! Thanks for sharing guys!!!!
Really amazing stuff from Iain being so open about his anxiety.
Rather than Roman's idea of giving the supps to the neighbours, take samples for the workers going to your gym. Test any future high stim products with them and send them back to your brother bouncing off the walls.
Not gonna lie if you guys wanna keep making bro chat over 2 hours I’m totally with it I can listen to this all day!
Thank you guys for talking about anxiety and depression. I really mean that from the bottom of my heart.
I love me some bro Chad, thank you fellas. 🇨🇦😎💪🏽
Thank you for talking about anxiety and depression, I became blind nine years ago never had anxiety had it so bad, got cancer a couple years afterwards the anxiety came even worse.
Nice! We need more with Roman!
Roman flossing his teeth made my day 🤣
See you guys with a workout collab would be absolutely epic!
Thank you so much for this topic guys! I definitely needed this!! Much love and respect for all of you!!
Appreciate it a ton boys. It’s nice to know other people are going through the same thing. And I don’t mean this in the misery loves company way, but to know you’re not the only one is quite refreshing. Great show guys
Sometimes its just nice to know that others feel the way you do so it feels normal and not catastrophic.
Thank you to all 4 of you for the podcast. This one really hit home for me.
This is my favorite channel for sure. I just listen to these podcast while Im at work and it makes time go by faster.
Great discussion fouad as a trained clinical therapist and someone who has taken an SSRI for 20 years, I really commend you for talking about this topic it's such an important discussion for others to know they're not alone in these situations
I hope I did it some justice.
@@FouadAbiad well done sir 👍
Literally prefer watching these than anything on tv
Same bro I feel so connected to them
I love the mental health aspect of this episode.
Thanks for opening up about this
I’ve been struggling with this since I finished radiation for prostate cancer and loosing most of my strength….
Don’t want to embarrass myself when I go back to the gym.. but tired of feeling weak…
I’m going back today
Thank you guys
BEST. FUCKING. PODCAST.
“What triggers your anxiety the most?”
Fouad: “restaurants”
