That rain was awesome! It happened the day after we were there going to the zoo and the River Walk. We were hoping it would come up this way but all we got was a teasing, cloudy day with a “30% chance of rain” that didn’t happen! We need rain so bad. Hope Calvin is enjoying his summer vacation and keeping busy so it’s a little easier without you there. I’m sure he misses you like crazy💙

Guantánamo Bay Cuba is the place Navy ships go to for refresher training after over haul. They warned us about the sun when we had time off and how easy it was to get sun burned. One of my fellow shipmates fell asleep at the beach and got second degree sun burns. He was written up for dereliction of duty because he couldn't do his job

Happy Independence Day for Monday 🙂 Keep absorbing that knowledge as you are and you’ll out of there in no time. I love BLS/ALS! It’s one of my most favourite clinical courses!! I’m not sure what the rules are in the states but in the uk they deem you certified or competent as soon as you complete the course and then we just re validate every year I think! 👍

I can get plenty of food at the dfac. I just hate walking over there. So I get myself enough for dinners. And I eat lunch at the dfac during the day.
