I just had an implant procedure done today and so far, I don’t have any pain at all. The post is in and I’m looking forward to getting my new tooth. The numbness has worn off and I am amazed that there is no pain. My dentist did a superb job. Maybe tomorrow will be different, but so far I’m doing great!

@@taylor_sings1340 No, they just give you a shot of novacaine. They numb you in the spot of your mouth first before they give you the shot so you don't feel it.
Titanium is such an incredible metal isn't it? Strong, light, heat resistant and it's the only metal that can fuse with bone.

Not the only one and it is actually not a Titan, mostly it is a titan alloy.
Moreover, it has a micro spongy titan outside oxide layer, usually processed by sand in order to make it scabrous. So, you can't just take a titan billet, cut it by dimensions and use it: there is a process mentioned above.
Very helpful video! I got an extraction and implant (screw) done today. It was not as scary as I thought it would be. Novicaine and Nitrous Oxide were given for pain and anxiety. I have some dental anxiety - just make sure to find yourself a great dentist and hygienists/assistants who are willing to walk you through everything. You will be ok!
Had this done and just scheduled my crown procedure. It’s actually not as bad as it looks. Very glad I chose this option. The downside is it’s hella expensive.

Tell me about it. My dentist never educated me properly on getting my wisdom teeth removed before they pushed my adjacent molars out.
I know right... thats why theres an AI dental assistant for dentists and patients. ask any dental related questions at KRISS AI. i wish my dentist had this software at their practice... i suffer with social anxiety so asking anything to anyone is a hard task done.

it is important, but not all know this, a lot of people tend to ignore when they have missing tooth, ig expensive for some to have this procedure, or not really educated about this. btw what is kriss ai?

I've had 2 bone grafts and now fixing to go go start implants. I'm super nervous cause the bone graft was pretty painful for the first week

I just got the implant today. It wasn't that bad, except when I paid close to 2000 for it. Getting he tooth out and bone grafting was way worst.
@@ryannarcisse3182 i just got one done today i’m a college kid too, the implant costed 2300 which is a lot cheaper than others i’ve seen. i also paid using care credit to break up the payments i hope this helps you

Is it okay to undergo first stage surgery after a tooth extraction? How it last the implant tooth?

I have done one dental implant 3 hours ago. Here is my review of the surgery:
I was terrified days before thinking about the sound of drill and pain all over my head. On the day of surgery (today), doctor gave local anaesthetic and I was still nervous, doctor asked me to calm down, it was although painless procedure but you feel the pressure of the drill which makes you little uncomfortable. It took 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Still there is numbness in my jaw. Let's see what happened once numbness goes but he prescribed pain killers and antibiotics and the doctor asked me to visit after 10 days for opening of stiches.

I just got this procedure done. It's been 4 days. I feel like the molar on my bottom jaw that was replaced feels and even looks way too big. Is this normal? Are there different sizes? I worry because the tooth it "fatter" for lack of a better word, than the rest, and my tongue feels like it's constantly pushing up against it. Is this normal?
I just had the healing cap placed. Is it normal for me to not be able to close my jaws all the way? It's sticking upwards keeping me from fully clenching my jaws. I haven't been able to chew anything even from the other side of my mouth because of it...

I think it's important that you discuss whitening with your dentist before getting the top bit made, as they will try to match the colour of it to your other teeth

CNA you still get a braces if you have tooth implant? Would it not mess it up?
I think I'll take my chances with my missing molars rather than get implants. What's the worst that could happen? At least a part of one molar is still left after my wisdom tooth damaged it.

I got mine done about a week ago. It was actually worse when they pull out the teeth, I only needed pain meds the first day. After care is easy. With my insurance I paid $750 for the first part of the process then I will pay $950 for the crown.
I had 2 implants put in, 4 days ago on top, it was the most painful thing I ever had to endure!! No local anesthesia, just shot to numb it!!! My question is how do they hook to the rest of ur denture

I did this in one of my molars, because the permanent tooth didn’t develop. Please consider that you’re gonna look like a squirrel for a week (super swollen) but other than that I think it’s the best solution.

I had the same thing with 2 molars 🦷 the adult teeth were not under the baby teeth. I’ve had one done and now on the second one. It’s not painful at all and you wake up and don’t feel like shit. Just metal posts and then wait a bit for the tooth to be molded and matched to be put on

Im 19 and have only 4 adult teeth, i just went to the orthodontist today, they said itd be easiest to pull the baby and put implants in, so basically 96% of my mouth will be fake lol. And they recommend me to a Oral Surgeon, we called to set up a appointment and he said he mighr have to escalate it even further not sure whats higher but i may lol

My tooth has been issuing since 2010 . I went to a doctor yesterday and was advised to go for bridge rather than implant as they suggested that no gapes are left for implant to be inserted now so only option is for bridge.Can you please suggest as I don’t want to disturb naturality of adjacent teeth
i don't recommend getting bridge, it destroys your natural good adjacent teeth. I had done bridging teeth last 20years ago and yesterday dentist pull my tooth ( bridge tooth) coz it is decaying inside the bridge. now I am planning to implant tooth though it is pricy.
Run away from that dentist and go to a competent maxillofacial surgeon (don't go to a regular dentist). Bridges destroy adjacent teeth whereas implants preserve bone structure. You might need a bone or gum graft depending on your situation, but it is worth it if you do.

Dental implant is a long time taking awaiting procedure. Is it possible for some one , after removal of teeth, to go for a temporary removable dentures before the post implantation process?? thanks!!

I have to get all my teeth done.. I have some lack of everything but mostly I mean they are all broken and decayed because I had a treatment for some kind of cancer for 3 years and that affected my teeth.. I want just to have teeth as if they were natural, that is, I don't want the dental plaque that you take off, but I want teeth inserted directly into the gums, etc.. but since I have debris like that, it might make a hole in them and that's how it turned out in the video

had exactly this done to replace the front K9. The video makes it look way worst than it was. I had a really good surgeon; it was all pretty easy except that the steps have several weeks or months of healing in between each, so its a long, drawn-out process.

I just had two implants put in #30 & #31. No. 30 looks good but #31 is severely out of alignment with the other teeth . Is this normal? I paid a huge amount of money for this procedure and it doesn't look right. Who do I question about this? The dentist who installed the crowns or the Endodontist who installed the implants?

@@CaseyL47They feel normal now but not when she first did it. Also, it is very noticeable if I open my mouth wide. No. 30 is so out of alignment I must have bit the side of my jaw at least 15 times. ( You know how painful that is.) I had to learn how to chew over there all over again.

You have to wait 4 months after surgery for the crown to be put on the post for lower teeth. 6 months for upper.

My dentist quoted around $4000 per implant, and $2500 if I went the bridge route. Not sure if I'm being ripped off. Local dentist, good reviews though. No missing teeth yet, but several that need to go. 8 years of chronic stomach issues have not only put me in the hospital for 3 years straight but definitely fucked up my teeth. Combine that with smoking, (and after the stomach issues were resolved) drinking, and drug use and you got yourself a future dental bill. It'd be nice to rewind time and re-do shit. Unfortunately, we don't have that option. Sometimes I wish I lived in the EU where most of this could be taken care of for free.
