Really enjoyed this I was 17 at the time & remember it vividly. Great to see Bernard Hepton interviewed. He was a fantastic actor who sadly passed away a couple of years ago. Really enjoyed seeing him in Colditz & Secret Army.
I remember this event, I was 18. It started just after the new year, like the 4th or 5th if memory serves me, and went on for a couple of weeks! I remember it well because I had just gone through my first Christmas without my dad, so it was a miserable Christmas.. and then the blizzards hit Cornwall. I had never seen Falmouth like it, where I lived the snow drifts were waist high! It was crazy! And then came all the burst pipes.. so many people with burst pipes..
Life is strange isn’t it…. We can recall life in detail when it’s a painful event, and yet we have all probably had millions of really happy events in our lives and most of us would be hard pushed to recount in detail just one of those such events as well as that one unhappy time! Thank you @@ultimatemagic2125

Very belated condolences for the loss of your father and the bad memories of Christmas 1987 :(

If we had snow like that now it would be a state of emergency
EVEN WATCHING THIS COULD TRIGGER A STATE OF EMERGENCY!
Friday 16th January 1987
I was working in Sittingbourne at this time. It was 3 feet deep on the pavement ! The town was cut off ! The army was called in to help !
The voiceover for the menu at the beginning of the video provided by Malcolm Brown.
Magic...
Lenham was well cut off
This is Jan 1987. Surely not 88? Before the 87 October storm NOT after.
you're right... I had updated the video title a while ago but missed the note below the video :-). thanks for the correction.
