He had absolutely everything you want in a striker. Right, left, header, power, accuracy and not to mention being absolutely hard as nails. People talk about old players being able to play in today’s game, I might agree when it comes to defenders and being able to play the ball but not for strikers, the goalposts never move and Shearer always knew where it was.
the chances that kane comes back to the prem, are pertty high, that said, if he retires early or loses form, then yeah probably, but maybe less, if Haaland stays in the prem for the rest of his career, he'll break it
He could score headers, left foot, right foot, tap ins, long range, free kicks, curlers, bangers, penalties, turn and shoot…he was just goals goals goals
@@AdityaDarmaSaputra-jl6kwHow? Kane got plenty of goal chances playing for a good Tottenham team, the way the game is now strikers are protected a lot and get plenty of decisions. Alan use to get very few chances to score, especially for Newcastle and when he did he would usually take it. The game was different also, not always an attacking game. Defenders could put there hands on you. Two career ending Injuries in the 90s stopped Alan from reaching 300 prem goals. Take away the injury seasons, Alan played roughly 12/13 prem seasons.
Despite being the record scorer it's baffling how much people still underrate how good he actually was. The best finisher in the world at the time IMO. In later years he adapted his game and the sheer power coupled with accuracy that he could generate was terrifying.
yeah when the league was piss easy , players were not super fit athletes and were pissed every weekend when there were no games. You cannot compare that era to when Shearer played. its like champions league teams compared to sundday league teams ffs.

Hi there REDWING12. I'm Stevie from Glasgow, Scotland. I enjoyed the upload mate but I can't see goal number 29. Could tell us who he scored his 29th goal against? Many thanks. :)
My uncle, who is not really much of a football fan, said Shearer would stand on the goal line and “chat with the keeper” before tapping the ball in, but all I see here is banger after banger 😂

Now that Harry Kane is gone, Shearer's record will stand for another 20 years.

His Blackburn years were peak Shearer

damn..260 premier league goals is a lot..
Shearer was more entertaining than Harry Kane.
Harry kane finishing better
@@AdityaDarmaSaputra-jl6kw No he doesn't. You don't know Shearer good enough, sorry.
And Shearer will keep the Prem Record now that Kane has gone to Bayern 😄😄
Yes as a spurs fan I agree. Football was so much better back then, shearer was a clinical finisher

Something strange about most of his goals...they just go in! Always knew exactly where to be like some crazy instinct, plus precision finishing
Patrick Kluivert all goals or Jürgen Klinsmann please

Is to forget what great supply lines Shearer had through his career. Wilcox and Ripley at Blackburn were real old fashioned effective wide men
Rovers fans won't forget. Stuart Ripley in particular was hell of a player
His first goal literally set the standard. 😂
Bloody hell imagine him with Cantona then Giggs, Beckham and Scholes!!
'Shearer continued with goalscorers disease,' love it.
Legend legend legend ❤mentor
The one against chelsea/desailly was unbelievable
The best
Shearer's ability is so underrated in video games.
Top stricker, especially the first touch goals, not just tap in
Damn true!
Who cares how he is portrayed in video games? That crap does not matter at all.
No rounding the keeper. Just pure old fashioned placement finishing.
Shearer is the best striker of all time no matter what anyone says.
Ian Rush 346 goals
Shearer has 283 goals.. stupid how they ignore his Southampton numbers, like those goals don't count..
Even though he had injury’s that compromised his pace, I still don’t think it would have made much difference to his goal tally.
im not dis crediting Shearer, but if Cole took penalties (didn't take one) - Cole would have topped him
Goleador ⚽🥅🥅
I FAN ENGLAND
Jimmy Greaves 357 top flight goals.
