    I feel like these two trades especially for all teams involved in the whole trade is an absolute win!!! Cause Adams got pushed to the half forward flank and he wanted more midfield minutes, Collingwood are a good team and club an won't suffer from Adams leaving as they won the grand final without him, Sydney needed a big body midfielder which they were lacking as contested possession was there weakness with a relatively young midfield brigade!!!
    The Dees tried the Grundy & Gawn experiment which ended up restricting both superstar ruck man but Grundy didn't end up playing in their AFL squad in the back end and Sydney have had a decade of serviceable ruck man at best but not an out an out dominant ruckman which they desperately have needed and now they can work on getting the midfield mix right 💯 So me personally there are no loses in these two trades especially which is rare with trades these days 🔥👀💯

    This trade method is stupid. Swans get Taylor Adams, they don’t lose a pick the AFL gives Collingwood a pick that someone else had and everyone moves down own. Makes absolutely o sense. It should be like US, you can only trade for picks you actually own.

      I think the writing was on the wall for Adams. He could see he might get less games in 2024, especially with McCrae's system. I think losing Adams is no big deal at the Pies. A lot of comments are off the mark at how much Adams is now the heart and soul of the Pies. As Tom Mitchell said in Ball Magnets; "There is no loyalty in football," Mitchell knows this in spades. So does Adams, that's why he knew his future is at the Swans.
      Though, if Adams had not been injured he would be a Premiership player. The Swans need some grunt in the middle, the Pies have McCreery now ready to go in the middle, and Schultz will be more productive than Adams up fwd.

    I'm sure the AFL hold NSW very important as an expansion zone, in turn I'm pretty sure Swans find a little additional favour from the AFL in always replenishing their stocks and staying on the right side of the ladder. Definitely always something incredibly convenient going on with the success of their recruiting that many other clubs never seem to find.

      @jeromerussell141 11 месяцев назад +5

      😳🤔😂 Firstly you have the right to your opinion, but I'm curious my guy in how the Execs at AFL have any hand in this trade? So the AFL said Grundy it's not gonna work out with you and Maxy at Melbourne so we're sending you to Sydney regardless if your still contracted to the Dees end of story 👀
      Then the AFL told Collingwood Sydney want Taylor Adams and regardless if you like it, you have to trade him to them regardless if he's contracted till next year he's going end of story 🤔
      Mate really 🤦🏽‍♂️ Melbourne could of kept Grundy but wanted to move Brodie Grundy on and they got what they wanted from the trade, Collingwood also could of kept Adams but they played it smart, instead of holding him to his contract for next season then letting him join Sydney as an unrestricted free agent they traded him and got something for him!!! So maybe missed something 🤔 so exactly what part did the AFL head office play in sending two contracted players in Grundy and Adams to Sydney?

    • @peterbaini8752
      @peterbaini8752 11 месяцев назад

      Extra 1.2 million in salary every year Swans get. That's how they've been paying Franklin and that's how they will pay Grundy and Adams.
      Should be a 9-15th team next season but luckily for them they'll be inside the top 4 maybe even with GWS..

      @@FalconCleancutUmmmmm my guy did you just say that Sydney have a higher salary cap due to the cost of living allowance 😳 take it you stop following AFL a decade ago then 🤦🏾‍♂️ So you know that stands for COLA right? And you know that both the Sydney Swans and GWS Giants had COLA removed from their Cap in 2014 🤦🏽‍♂️ So no their salary cap has been the same as every other club for the last ten years 😂 but your COLA response would of been a fair argument 10 years ago lol
