There is no direct bus available from Igatpuri but you can go to Kalyan by train then take bus. Its approx 7 hours of journey. So it won't be possible for you to return by 4 pm. Try to have atleast 2 days in hand

Hi! I was not solo. I went with my 2 friends. But I have done many solo trips.
If you want to travel solo, you can travel. Just you need to take Taxi from Mahabaleshwar bus stand and then it will cover all the major locations in 5-6 hours.
All the viewpoints are crowded only so no problem. When you are in the taxi you can keep checking map so that you can be sure where the driver is going.

You can rent anything from Pune and then come to Mahabaleshwar. That's fine. But you will have to pay parking charges at some points in Mahabaleshwar.
Also, you can't get any rental vehicles in Mahabaleshwar. Only cabs are available.

How to reach strawberries farms??
Hi! Visit to strawberry farm is included in the tour package of Mahabaleshwar if you go by taxi. They will take you to some strawberry farms .
Next thing, if you are traveling by your own vehicle then you can put the location of any Strawberry farm on map and reach there.
I visited Garden green house strawberry farm. There are many farms by the side of this farm. You can visit there also.

Agar aap Satara railway station aa rhe ho to aapke liye best option rhega ki aap subeh tak station par wait kro. Phir waha se aap subeh Satara ST bus stand jao Auto se (20 min distance). Satara bus stand se aapko subeh 6 bje se Mahabaleshwar k liye buses Milne lgengi. Aap bus stand pr enquiry me v pata kr sakte ho aaram se. Wo aapko exact timing v bta denge.

Network pura zero to nahi hota hai lekin phirv aap safe side k liye at least ₹1000 cash jarur rakhna apne pas.

Aap do teen package ek saath loge Mahabaleshwar ki to aapko approx 1800 - 2000 rs pdega. Ye charge per person nahi balki taxi ka total charge hai.

Our goa also good, but tourist agents are from karnataka and lamanis spoiling goan name, that's 100% true. Where as mahabaleshwar locals helping tourister in a such way, that every tourister will visit again and again.

Further, I will suggest that you take a ₹1980 taxi package which will include complete Mahabaleshwar darshan on Day 1.
On second day, you can again take a taxi package of ₹840 and explore Panchgani.
Extra tip: You can also explore Tapola package of ₹1200 on Day 2.
In this way you can cover Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, and Tapola in 2 days for which total taxi cost will be ₹4020. If you exclude Tapola then cost will be ₹2820.
