Of course you are not offended. No one is offended. No one is even pretending to be offended. People who constantly brag about not being ''woke'', love to project other people's ''wokeness'' with no evidence. They love to say ''I'm not allowed to say this but...'' or ''I'm probably gonna get cancelled for saying this but...'' when in reality no one gives a shit what they say or think, and they know it. They WISH people would object. It's just them acting important and trying to come off as rebellious and brave with no personal risk. Even assuming women are going to object to what they say just because they are women, is to accuse women of being naturally unreasonable and whiney. I don't know a single women who cares. Some men just like to pretend they do just to appear edgy. That''s kinda what's happening in this reaction. Outside of half a dozen ideologue feminists, women are pretty reasonable, in my experience, but that doesn't suit some men's narrative.
@@emdiar6588 Don’t do it myself (although sometimes I’m tempted), but I have seen women (tongue-in-cheek) pretend to be offended, just because it seems to make a certain kind of man feel like he’s bravely pushing the boundaries. Makes the man/ men happy, and you can have a good laugh about it afterwards. Win, win, I say.
I am 67 and hated rap until Ren ! I am addicted to everything Ren and I have noticed there is a major group of people in their 60s that love Ren ! He reaches every age group, which is rare !!
I'm 62 and I always thought rap should have ended after Grandmaster flash (with the possible exception of Eminem's early stuff). Then Hi Ren popped up in my news feed and now Im hooked on him. I think I always saw rap as being the same inane, monotonous, repetitive drivel full of constant references to n*gg*rs, hoes and popping caps in bottoms. Ren's rapping is a totally different beast, with meaningful, deep lyrics, and amazing beats. Now I am learning to appreciate the genre, if Ren has a genre apart from being Ren.
Totally agree with you, loved Grandmaster Flash and that era of music/rap, the music made sense, you could understand every word. Rens music is so unique and meaningful, perfect voice, great guitarist, writer, actor, he’s got it all! And yes I’m nearing 60, and my husband who thinks the same is 62!
I’m 63 and got in to reaction videos during the pandemic cuz I loved that the younger generation is listening to my generation of music from the 70’s and 80’s. Then I came across REN about a year ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. This guy has a rare talent that I haven’t seen in decades.
I’m 62 floyd, Bowie, T Rex, R&B soul, & many other genres except Rap, until I saw a Ren video of him busking, jumped down the Ren rabbit hole, now because of Ren, I’m listening to NF, Tom Mc Donald, Dax, it all started with Ren, reminds me of how I felt when I first saw Sparks, he has re ignited my passion for music, crazy how so many of us oldies love his music. Talent is Talent, we have lived through enough decades of music, to recognise genius when we hear & see it. X
I am a 65 year old Widow, but have a son that was born in '80's, but grew up in the '90's. I remember it all and I love all of REN's music. He is a genius that can touch every heart at any age.
I bet Ren could set up a concert like a music festival. They have a lot of different bands on the main stage, one after another, and there’s got to be a method to that kind of madness.. and Ren is like 10 different artists so….
There is a RUclipsr - ItsHanna - that put up a 3 or 4 year old Ren concert. It is Chincilla, Ren doing Jenny and Screech, Ren with Sam Tompkins, then Ren with the Big Push.
I'm a 1980s baby and I think that's one of the reasons I enjoy Ren's music so immensely much 😍 It's just a throwback to my teenage dirtbag years and it's bringing back so many memories of good times when life was pretty much perfect 🖤
On Losing It you'll notice Ren calls it a Retake. He has a series of retakes where he raps over other people's tracks. From Fat Boy Slim to the Foo Fighters. Another great reaction. Enjoyed listening to Don's verse on Jungle Breed too.
He usually says the original artists name within the track too, like on Losing It the last thing he says is “Fisher”. And in “right here, right now” he’s says something about “fat boy slim on the track” he also does a retake on Bittersweet Symphony and one of the members of the ordinal band. (Sy from The Verve) sent Ren a guitar :)
I can think of the following "Re-Takes".. Foo Fighters, All My Life Re-Take Subtrkt, Wildfire Re-Take Fatboy Slim, Praise You Re-Take Fisher, Losing it Re-Take Verve, Bittersweet Symphony Re-Take
RUclips offered up a live concert the Big Push put on before Ren left for Canada. It was great-wish I could have been there. Maybe you guys can find it. I don’t remember who made it.
90's was the best. Mates knock on your door, 'hey, coming for a bike ride?' End up on a 6 hour adventure, exploring forests, abandoned buildings and getting up to no good 😂

I'm seriously hoping that Ren is going to come back to Brighton and turn it into the Branson of England and all of his friends and collaborators can take turns doing kickass shows 5 nights a week and a Sunday matinee for us gray hairs. You would have to attend like, ten shows to see all of Ren not even mentioning all his talented friends.
Given Ren's gift for flow and lyrics and timing, I'm pretty sure his set list would be a work of art, as well, and I sure hope to attend one of his concerts someday!
60 & loving this. I honestly thought I was too auld to be impressed but I was totally wrong Ren has reminded me that great music & art will always shines through. I love the emotional roller coaster he takes you on he’s truly gifted.
1) you’re welcome. I suggested these both a few vids ago. 2) when Ren’s “What You Want” comes on, as a 45 year old guy, my knees go krook and I can’t walk straight! lmao 3) my son (who’s turning 7) and myself watch these videos and listen to these songs all the time!!! he LOVES them as much (or close to) as I do.
I was 13 yrsold when RAPPERS DELIGHT swept threw. My kids thought it was a hoot to have me rap it to their friends in high school. Still no every word. My favorite stuff came out in tha early to mid 80's Lisa Lisa, Cult Jam, I'll still listen to it. Love the song Rumors. Don't get me started on Salt n Pepper, En Vogue and TLC. I'm 58 though
Ren is amazing both his charisma the plight he is overcoming and a musical genius he just connects on another level love him and that he’s blessed with this talent ❤
Lmao I'm 39 and my first car was a 1979 280z Datsun with no radio. I had a battery powered boombox and a Hella thick cd book😂 also I'll never forget when my son came to me sooo excited to have discovered a band called Greenday. He is 20 now and actually introduced me to Ren. I LOVE you guys and your humor! Much love from TX❤
Love that you reacted to these 2. I was born in 1969 and I totally agree that current generations aren't into the older stuff like we were. There's so much access to new stuff especially on streaming that there's less interest to explore the classics unless someone who is currently big brings it up or promotes it.
Ren & Friends the Concert. Opens with Sam Tompkins doing some of his solo stuff. Sam finishes his set with a Ren busking duet (Falling/Man's World etc). Chinchilla does a set of her solo stuff ending with a Ren busking duet (Sexual Healing etc). The Big Push do a busking session of covers. Ren does the Jenny/Screech/Violet trilogy, Money Game Part 1 as theatre. Ren does Money Game Part 2, Crucify Your Culture as multi-media presentation. Big Push play their original material, finishing with a couple of Romain Axisa tracks. Ren returns and plays early stuff through to rap stuff including Genesis, the Hunger & Losing it. Encore is Freckled Angels, It's Alright & Hi Ren (closing words of the concert "And I must not forget, we must not forget, that we are human beings")
I’m sure someone commented by now but for me as a kid it was DING DONG DITCH 😊 ahhh the nostalgia in this song, feel you and what Ren is on, LOVEEEEE IT ❤
Nice seeing the Red Rocks shoutout. Saw both the Cure & later Love & Rockets there in the 80s. Blew me away just physically being there with the acoustics.
Gaahh!! Had to pause and say how jealous I am that your boy has seen Phoenix live. I'd give my left knuckles to see them in concert. Ok, maybe that's a bit drastic; I'd really, really, really enjoy seeing them. But now, it's on my bucket list to see Ren live. I'd make a trip to the UK for that, but I have a feeling he'll be coming to the US eventually provided that his health allows. Get better Ren, LIKE YESTERDAY.
Having been born in '85 I was at the prime age to experience growing up through the 90's and I wholeheartedly agree that they were the best years to be alive. Some of the best years of my life really.
I was thinking how cool it would be to see a ren concert last night and how amazing it. Would b and then I thought it would kind of be something he wouldn't do because of the darker songs, BUT you guys are discussing it, and that is awesome!!!!! ❤❤❤😅
I can never pass up listening to Ren. Funny thing about "What You Want" song the reference to Xena, not many people know and he may not know that Lucy Lawless that played Xena has the same birthday as Ren, March 29th. I know because she was born on the same day as me in 1968.
What does a Ren concert look like? I'd love for him to do a Gorillaz style concert on the internet with digital sign in for those of us who he can't travel to when he's better. And for us with fluctuating disabilities that could impact our ability to guarantee we could make it out of the house on any given day. The digital concert way it would minimise how much a concert would take out of him... physiological stress of travelling on tour and staying in different places...mean he only has to do one performance, also helps with the environmental triggers from a different environment on immune system and autoimmune cascade (irritants, temp, humidity, chemicals, air quality, pollens, air pressure, different water/ available foods etc) And his collaborators could come to him, and a small live audience
Ha! That shit was top! I graduated in 1990 but i was still a young man in the 90s and it was the best time to be alive. When i was in 4th grade i could solve the rubix cube in less than 2 minutes!
I come from the seventies but the nineties were my teen years. I'm an old school kick, with a new school twist, a vintage classic and I bounce like elastic 😂😂😂😂❤ love you lads, love the channel 😊 i had a tamagotchi and I'm older than both of you 😂😂😂pogs too😂
I was born in 79 so I remember everything in this video. It’s so nostalgic, The first time we hear this song was when he was in Trick the Fox. Love both these songs. 🐇🕳️🖤

I love your breakdowns of the songs because lyrics and lyricism more than just the entirety of each song. Ren connects with so many of us for more reasons than I can list..... Between you and Knox, I've found some great hip hop and I'm a metalhead at heart
Hi guys: Great reactions. I was a teen in the ‘70s (long hair, blowdryers, 8-track players, earth shoes, mood rings and pet rocks, lol), but the’90s sound fun too!
Hey fellas, just throwing you some love from Wales UK. Loving your Ren rabbit hole. Some info about Hi Ren that none of your guests have picked up on yet. At the end when Ren starts the yodle type sound with the guitaring,it is the first time that the Angel (Ren) and devil (guitar) characters stop arguing and work together in harmony. And just for fun, look up the 2021 Eminem 8 mile meme using she sells sea shells. Peace and love mi amigos😊
Spot on mate. Every one keeps saying she sells sea shells in Hi Ren was a reference to money game part 2. I kept telling them, nah it was a reference to one of his heroes Eminem. Finally someone else who knows. Thanks from an Englishman living in the valleys lol.
I grew up in England and moved to the US in my early 20's - now in my early 40's. Clockwork Orange was a big deal in the 90's in England as it was re-released into the mainstream having been banned for a long time after its creation.
There was a show, band called Black Veil Brides, back in like maybe the mid 2010s, where the lead singer(Andy Biersack) attempted to jump down from a pillar onto the stage(like a 10 ft drop) and one of his feet slipped as he landed on the stage and he slammed his ribs on the edge of the stage. Broke like 2 or 3 ribs, refused to be taken to the hospital until he had finished the show. Not the first time something like that had happened.
In the 90s in England we had wild parties in fields, forests and buildings I was a rave kinda guy at the time. Good music always shines. I liked songs like this then, I enjoy them more now.
relating begining and the end and differences in life too...the home alone era being outside versus inside. I remember each new achievement ride bikes or rolling on boards. At first you make it to local park then further. Next thing you know you become more self reliant hitting the mall the, the skate rink, etc. Today kids are so much more dependent even on desire at times. Its sad that many kids wouldnt even be able to make it home from school if they had to. To the young ones reading....you are not lost in life your making your path enjoy it
The diversity of the conversations you've had through this guy's music shows how f'in nuts is. No conversation is the same because they all hit different emotions / subjects
What ever set list dude got I feel you got to start with this. Gets everyone moving gets the vibe right and from moving to this beat you could go any direction.
Man, I say it all the time. Growing up in the 90's was amazing, we all got along even if we had beef. It had to be the best time to grow up, hands down. Society today is just insane.

Love love love this. I was born 1955 and appreciate Ren's honesty and depth in his music and songs, at last music is speaking to us again ❤🙏❤
Yes.... been asking for this since i watched your first hi-ren reaction , already excited, can't wait 👍👍
I just turned 42 today and both these music videos are definitely a nostalgia trip... can't seem to get what you want out of my head lol
Shiiitt.... Because of you guys and this video I am over here calling my old school friends to talk about dumb shit we did, haha. Awesome reaction!
2) when Ren’s “What You Want” comes on, as a 45 year old guy, my knees go krook and I can’t walk straight! lmao
3) my son (who’s turning 7) and myself watch these videos and listen to these songs all the time!!! he LOVES them as much (or close to) as I do.
I was 13 yrsold when RAPPERS DELIGHT swept threw. My kids thought it was a hoot to have me rap it to their friends in high school. Still no every word. My favorite stuff came out in tha early to mid 80's
Lisa Lisa, Cult Jam, I'll still listen to it. Love the song Rumors. Don't get me started on Salt n Pepper, En Vogue and TLC. I'm 58 though
Ren is amazing both his charisma the plight he is overcoming and a musical genius he just connects on another level love him and that he’s blessed with this talent ❤
Thank you for the trip down memory lane. Born 1975 in Aurora, CO. My how Denver has changed! Great reaction
You guys are going to love Rens "Love music Part 3"
I got into a clockwork orange when I was 15. Everybody in the punk scene loved the movie. We would watch it over and over on vhs
Don going off on the beauty of not always being connected and having some space was fire because it's in that space that you grow
1990s gave me big flashbacks!
Y'all need to make a GIF of your synchronized head bopping at the start of the video!
Love this so much. 80s baby here and I love this whole thing.😂
i feel like he could almost perform the vids on stage since alot of them are one take, would love to see him live
That would be 👌Perfect!
I’m sure someone commented by now but for me as a kid it was DING DONG DITCH 😊 ahhh the nostalgia in this song, feel you and what Ren is on, LOVEEEEE IT ❤
I was born in 79 so yeah 90’s we’re the shiznittttttt!!!!! It was a hell of a time!
They all play their instruments no recorded music … so good
Nice seeing the Red Rocks shoutout. Saw both the Cure & later Love & Rockets there in the 80s. Blew me away just physically being there with the acoustics.
Looking forward to it!
You guys are fantastic, keep up the good work, much love and respect from the UK
Dude❤I love y’all’s reactions! I was born in 82 so I’m in a state of nostalgia when I hear these 2 songs!!
😂dingdong ditch 😂
I love the call back to Hi Ren when they are on the merry go round
Knock and run the 90s were the best times.!
Ren simply has music no genres just communication, BARDCORE
I was thinking how cool it would be to see a ren concert last night and how amazing it. Would b and then I thought it would kind of be something he wouldn't do because of the darker songs, BUT you guys are discussing it, and that is awesome!!!!! ❤❤❤😅
I can never pass up listening to Ren. Funny thing about "What You Want" song the reference to Xena, not many people know and he may not know that Lucy Lawless that played Xena has the same birthday as Ren, March 29th. I know because she was born on the same day as me in 1968.
Xena warrior Princess was my jam as a kid lol
Xena :)
Jessica!!
‘it’s alright: cause I’m saved by the bell!’
Do his Fat Boy Slim Retake, "he's a real cheeky bugger", with the crazy, funny, sneaky sex lyrics he throws in😂
Top reaction 👍 What you Want and Power are on my daily playlists
Oh My Woman by The Big Push - such a beautiful song , one to react too, you might get a surprise at how it sounds 🙂
Im 48 so i got a little bit of everything it was amazing being born in the mid 70s & growing up in the 80s
What does a Ren concert look like? I'd love for him to do a Gorillaz style concert on the internet with digital sign in for those of us who he can't travel to when he's better. And for us with fluctuating disabilities that could impact our ability to guarantee we could make it out of the house on any given day.
The digital concert way it would minimise how much a concert would take out of him... physiological stress of travelling on tour and staying in different places...mean he only has to do one performance, also helps with the environmental triggers from a different environment on immune system and autoimmune cascade (irritants, temp, humidity, chemicals, air quality, pollens, air pressure, different water/ available foods etc)
And his collaborators could come to him, and a small live audience
I was born in 1989 man i love ren and clock work orange and pulp fiction
born in 78 and the last of the free range kids lol - 90's were amazing, that tune is such a trip down memory lane
FINALLY!!! I was waiting for this ❤
1990' is such a goodvibes tune. I'm 1980 kid, but a TON of nostalgia in this.
Look at the joy on your 2 faces at beginning of 1990s 😊😊
Guys.... I;m 57 and living in Scotland... grew up with early 80's electronica like Gary Numan.... I'm LOVING everything Ren!! :)
Everyone's like "beastie boys!" And I'm like
"Jurassic 5!"
one of my fav's this.. Im as old as you guys ha ha
Ha! That shit was top! I graduated in 1990 but i was still a young man in the 90s and it was the best time to be alive. When i was in 4th grade i could solve the rubix cube in less than 2 minutes!
Great call on Jurassic 5. Saw them at Bluesfest in Australia a few years ago and they were brilliant.
I come from the seventies but the nineties were my teen years. I'm an old school kick, with a new school twist, a vintage classic and I bounce like elastic 😂😂😂😂❤ love you lads, love the channel 😊 i had a tamagotchi and I'm older than both of you 😂😂😂pogs too😂
Much respect for you working with Gift of Gab and Blackalicious! Didn't know that! Keep on y'all...
I was born in 79 so I remember everything in this video. It’s so nostalgic, The first time we hear this song was when he was in Trick the Fox. Love both these songs. 🐇🕳️🖤
You here his "struggle" songs like hi ren, and its so nice to see he can have fun and a carefree side
What you are doing is perfect. Kkep going, keep pushjng.
😮😮😮 never watched Buffy, nooooo, man you need to go binge immediately, we'll wait for you 😉
As a 80s kid damn that went down memory lane 😂
ayo im 20 and i got into a clockworks orange through my dad. But i guess its safe to say most people my age dont really know the movie or would even appreciate it... times change.
Ow aand wanted to say i watch most of ur content. its great stuff! bc you are a great guy! same for the people you put on the show. again, great stuff, great variety. ;0
Just wanted to show some love, you guys deserve it.
I love your breakdowns of the songs because lyrics and lyricism more than just the entirety of each song. Ren connects with so many of us for more reasons than I can list..... Between you and Knox, I've found some great hip hop and I'm a metalhead at heart
Love you guys!!!! Really do ❤
I grew up in the 70s and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Lol I liked you guys reaction.
In the 90s in England we had wild parties in fields, forests and buildings
I was a rave kinda guy at the time. Good music always shines. I liked songs like this then, I enjoy them more now.
so much energy, this reaction was flowing and contagious
relating begining and the end and differences in life too...the home alone era being outside versus inside. To the young ones reading....you are not lost in life your making your path enjoy it
Ren is just good music...thank you guys
You blokes are Spring Chickens! Enjoyed your entertaining selves.
