1980's Australian Government: Go out, exercise, be fit, take care of your health. 2020's Australian Government: FEAR PORN! Be very scared, be very afraid. Don't leave your home, peons! Be Xenophobic against your neighbours. Dob them in! Wear a bacteria-ridden magical square cloth in front of your respiratory tract all day long. You want to go out and exercise? Well, no, fuck you.
They should make an updated version of this, but unfortunately not many are concerned about this issue anymore (plus advertisers wouldn't like this of course)
I was one of those kids growing up in the 80’s and the fitness tracker was not invented in those days so my generation didn’t bother being very active! But now the fitness tracker gives today’s young generation a much better chance to be a lot more active than my generation did growing up yes I do have one myself and I should use it a lot more!👍🏻😊😀
Dude, we were outside all the time in the 1980s, because there was so little at home to do. Obese people were like rare Pokemon in those days. We're all much more sedentary now because we have all this indoor technology and media now, so we have to deliberately schedule fresh air and exercise - especially those of us starting to look like Norm from these ads lol
@@sandwichbreath0 yes - fat kids were rare back then, but public health could see the way the wind was blowing (that there’d be a generation of Norms) and Life Be In It was a fantastic campaign.
The only reason i saw it its because my teacher showed us a video from life be in it and then one of the students asked can we still see this videos and the teacher said yes on RUclips so i just wanted to see the videos and sorry SO long
This ad had my little toddler screaming in literal fear every time it played on the tv. He would run crying from the room. I had thought that kids would love the song but I truly hate it now.
Love this commercial, brings back so many memories. I was in primary school back in the 80s. Had a great message too.👍
Born in '82, saw this ad countless times in the 80's
A gold dust classic
There was also a shorter version but this one is heaps good.
One of the greatest ads of all time🙌🙌
Thank you for posting this commercial ! Love it ! ❤️👍
Really loved this ad and the animation as a kid.
100% - just needs a Fruit Box!
Be In It YEAH!
Haha!!! Love these old adds....such classics....❤
Now people just sit at home watching Netflix all day long.
That bassline slaps
This is was my fave ad as a kid
The bass player is having fun
I miss these ads.... They should bring them back
Classic!!😊
Wow.. imagine a government that actually wants you to get out and have fun.
Altho Norm was good, I really liked the pure song ad.
I like the archery one as a kid
Not in 2020 Melbourne you wont!

Who would have thought we would be either fined or imprisoned for exercising or being 5km from our homes.

Rockabye baby in tree top

These commercials should be in a multicultural environment
Be in at and remember to always pay your HOA dues !
Why would you down vote this?
Soo... what is the main idea of this advertisement ??
Getting people to exercise through activities
To get people to engage in the community more.
This is silly
Pisshead
Only a lard-ass would say such things.
It was an excellent public health campaign - catchy jingly ads were the fashion at the time.
