Definitely needed more Monica Bellucci. Seemed to me that they had four or five ideas and couldn't decide on the script so they threw them all together so nothing was really fleshed out. Keaton and Ryder knocked it out of the park though.
I wonder how many versions of a sequel script they'd put together over the years? I know that one was "Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian", of course. But surely there were other random ideas besides that one that also never panned out.
This movie is awesome. I saw it in the theater with one of my brothers back in September, and it was so much fun. I loved hearing the classic Beetlejuice theme and I loved seeing all the practical effects and miniatures, especially during the opening credits. It felt so refreshing after seeing so many movies nowadays only using CGI and not using practical effects. We need more movies that use practical effects and miniatures. And as far as who was my favorite character, obviously Beetlejuice is my number one favorite, Monica Belluci is my second favorite. She was drop dead gorgeous in this movie. And my other favorite character would be William De Foe. He was amazing in this. The way he looks in this movie, it almost looks like he could play Dirty Harry. Hope you guys had a great Christmas, and I hope you have a Happy New Year.

The only thing you said that makes sense is the story line wasn’t good which it wasn’t what the hell does to many ghost and cgi have to do with anything of course it’s going to have more than one ghost just say the movie wasn’t good because it wasn’t
Always a great reaction from you two My girlfriend & I enjoyed this film when we saw it in the theater. It was very entertaining and as far as sequels go it was pretty good in our opinions
The only reason I know of the song from the wedding scene was because Weird Al made a parody of it. Instead of MacArthur Park, he called it "Jurassic Park" and the song was about the movie.

There was actually a 3 season long joke on Community where at least once in every season of the first 3 seasons, somebody says Beetlejuice's name. The third time is during the Halloween episode and someone walks by in a Beetlejuice costume.
I think the dream sequence music was from the dream sequence/jump scare at the end of Carrie. MacArthur Park is from the musical Camelot and as already mentioned by Richard Harris!
Michael Keaton has the exact same amount of screen time in this as he did in the first movie. Keaton made it part of his agreement. Although it does feel like he's in this one more.

They wanted to name the film "House Ghosts" instead, to which Tim Burton scoffed, "We might as well call it 'Scared Sheetless'," which the studio also loved. Eventually "Beetle Juice/Beetlejuice" became a compromise in that it sort of referred to the character, but was also just something weird because it was an odd movie. But because people don't really pay attention or hang around during end credits (in the first movie, Keaton is billed as "Betelgeuse" in the end titles), over the years they have mistakenly decided that "Beetlejuice" is the character's name. This movie does not like Jeffrey Jones. I understand though.
off topic but if I commissioned u to watch A Serbian Film would it gets rejected?!
@horrorjunkie96…RUclips would DEFINITELY reject it…especially the Unrated cut.

I don’t think Beetlejuice is a good guy in this one really. He only saved Astrid because that was what he had to do in order to marry Lydia. He wasn’t doing it to be a good guy.
Really good one, but the censored F word took me out of it and some of the song choices/length stalled it a couple of times.
