*Question - Should I remake the whole 30 days course?*
Tutorial page for this one -> productdesignonline.com/41
Hi - I would welcome a new course; especially with the new interface settings which are a bit different now. Thanks for all the great fusion 360 content. I’ve learned much from you.
@@NigelSheldon Thanks, Damon! I appreciate the kind words and your feedback. Glad to hear you're enjoying them :)
No need to remake all courses, it will cost a lot of time. By the way, I have learn the old course by the latest version of fusion360 and it works well. Maybe you can make a video to emphasize the changes.
@@Jet_Cat agreed, if old course works well we can add new concepts to this course making this bit advance level.
@@JimFelich Thanks for the feedback! Charging for the updated version (or parts of it) is something I'm considering, given the amount of time/investment it will take to script, record, and edit all of it.
Anyway, appreciate you watching and commenting!
This needs to be said. There are many tutorials out there. The authors know the product and they have made an effort to transfer that information to others and of course gather likes and followers. But this tutorial is outstanding. Not only is it professionally designed, as a teacher myself I can say it is very didactic. Meticulously following each and every step I achieved in one lesson the kind of initial expertise I was always looking for. Now I am not just a follower. I am a fan wishing to learn more.
Completely agree. Several items such as showing how to set up the UI defaults and only briefly covering every variant of ways to access functions allowed the lesson to run smoothly for me.
@@warrenwest311 you can easily slow the entire audio and video down in the RUclips settings. 50% speed worked best for me.
This is absolutely the perfect comment to a perfect video/channel. Couldn't agree more.
I agree, this was my very first contact with Fusion 360 and I had a very good time going through the tutorial with some chill music in the background, cheers for Product Design Online!
Any software tutorial is going to be WAY too complicated for you if you can't figure out the pause/rewind on a youtube video.
8:50 They have renamed "Directions" to "Axis" since the release of this video. The workflow remain the same though. Just in case you get confused why "Directions" isn't there anymore.
Definitely threw me in a loop. Thanks for clarifying!
Thanks - I had been repeating that section trying to work out what I did wrong when I realised my Rectangular Pattern box had different options ....
Ive been repeating this part for 15 mins and got very angry till i saw this comment, thanks.
@@dinandderksen no worries. That's what what the comment section is for👍
Oh I've been doing this for like 20 mins thinking I'd done something wrong. thanks!
The video time is 13:06, it took me about 3 hours - But I did it. It's a start. Seriously though, thank you for the video(s). For some of us, it's a challenge; but a challenge that can be beaten. Thank you
Shortcuts for navigating around the workspace when using a mouse with a clickable scrollwheel:
Scroll wheel forward / backward -> Zoom in and out
Press and hold scroll wheel + move mouse -> Pan around the workspace
Shift key + Press and hold scroll wheel + move mouse -> Orbit the work piece
Thanks. I kept seeing him pan and orbit and wondered what the shortcuts were.
This is extremely helpful! Thanks!
Thanks!!
THANK YOU!!!
I'm a newbie to CAD in general. I took mechanical drafting in college...30 years ago. I have been blown away by this entire series. I am doing each lesson and while all of them have been challenging...this blew my mind. You do a great job and I appreciate your hard work making this for us. Please, if you have time keep them coming. Thank You!
Thanks for your support!
Just completed day one. Thank you for this awesome series. Printing it now!
I started CAD 2 years ago with Tinkercad moved to Fusion 360 in a couple of months. Looking back I have come so far mostly due to your tutorials. Thank you so much you are why I'm semi proficient. Really looking forward to this series. I will be donating some money to show my appreciation.
A huge thank you, you are helping me a lot, not only for an actual project but because it’s now quite a lot of time I wanted to learn fusion 360, and I always thought it was too complicated. With your lessons simple projects seem achievable! Thank you 🙏🏼
I just started learning fusion 360 and this is the very first video I just completed. So far so good I'm extremely excited to start finally learning and your video is doing exactly that HELPING me tremendously!
This tutorial is ace. I've learned more in 13 minutes here than I did bashing about for 10 hours in a few different sessions on my own!
totally agree with you
Another tip with the rectangular pattern, and why using the solid body part of it is better is it doesn't load fusion down so much. If you have to do a big mesh piece for example the solid body rectangular pattern doesn't lag as much (in my experience anyway) ill be watching the whole series, always something to learn on fusion!
Thank you! I 3d printed this model 2 times following the tutorial step by step and the blocks snap really well!
This was a fantastic first lesson and I've already learnt so much. There were so many questions on how to do things which I had before and this first lesson has already answered so many of those questions. It was also so up-to-date and easy to follow. If the rest of the series is like this, then I look forward to it!
Today is my first day involving in learning 3D modelling in Fusion 360. Your study playlist is amazing!!! It helps me alot. Thanks for sharing these amazing contents!!
Please keep making these, i've been watching tutorials on fusion 360 for a while now and this is the best step-by-step guide i have found so far
I teach an engineering class. Thank you so much for these videos, they are an absolute gem for teachers!
I've been using fusion for a few years now, and this entire tutorial series has made me better at using the software by quite a bit! Thank you so much!
Just started your 2019 revised series. So glad to see this updated one!
Holy cow, that was fast paced, but comprehensive and didn't skip over the important parts, I now have an intact Lego, which is more than I've managed from other tutorials. Thanks very much, look forward to continuing with the rest of the series :)
I’m a total newbie. I’ve had the hobby version of fusion360 for a few years now and could never figure out how to even start a drawing. I watched this video through once, then watched it again following along. Some of the things are slightly different in the current version of the program, but I was able to produce the same end product. Thank you so much for these tutorials, they are well done and easy to follow.
I’ve binged many fusion tutorials, as a noobie to 3D printing, and this is hands down the clearest one I have ever seen… superb teaching style 😊
Wow just amazing work explaining the basic most used feature in the most concise way, and mentioning the good practices to get used to in the future
Definitely subscribed
Only 1:41 into this video and you're right to the point. There's no sitting g through 5 minutes of monologue plugging. Thank you! 🙌 😊
Happy learning! :)
As a MasterCam power user, i am in awe in how great the sketch feature and the trees are in Fusion 360. I am branching my skillset into other softwares and your tutorial video was exceptional. Thank you sir!
Just started with Fusion 360 to do a 3d print project for a friend. Your videos are helping immensely. I love how you explain every key press and mouse click, and why they do what they do, with such clarity as it makes actually learning the program so much easier. Great work!
Thanks! Happy learning :)
Amazing! Thank you so much!
Great content. Well organized and structured to facilitate learning a complex topic in small sections!
Man, thank you so much for this tutorial. The only experience I have ever had with cad is cardboard aided design and this tutorial is super easy to follow while packing in a lot of info
Wow - this is the first time I actually learn it!
I've been wanting to get into this for a while but never found good tutorials.
This is great.
Thank you.
Thanks for explaining this stuff so simply, I found it (and this whole series) really helpful!
Love this one, jump right in and start designing. I don't care about product history or any of that, I just want to learn and this does it!
This tutorial is very good. I've been using Fusion 360 a few years, half assed, and I have tried many tutorials to learn more here on You Tube. However, a lot of people, respectfully, keep showing the same stuff, spending incredible amounts of time on the same things, and this guy just shows you how it works, where to find it, and moves on. I like his style, and I'm going through every video he has on this software now. Simple things like telling you "hey, there are two Rectangular Pattern commands, avoid the sketch one, use this one" are great. I've never seen anyone explain this. I for one really appreciate you put the time, effort, and energy into putting these videos out. I mean, seriously, anyone could learn from your tutorials, and literally create a job for themselves. Anyone that doesn't think it is possible without a degree, think again. I work at a machine shop. We're setting up CNC lathes and running all kinds of parts. Well, a friend that works there, he came on You Tube, learned Fusion 360, and then demonstrated his ability at our job. Now he models a lot of our lathe work, and gets paid well for it. So, these videos are super valuable. you can literally elevate your knowledge/skills and specialize yourself for the job you want. A big thank you to you.
I know im rambling, but seriously, I see it as a big deal. Just by following these, practicing, and learning the proper way to use this software through these tutorials, i will no doubt become more valuable at work, increase my wages, and ultimately help my family/children more because of it. Thanks again, it is much appreciated. I hope you succeed in every way bro.
Thank you so much!
I just watched this video, and definitely continuing watching next. Immediately liking each other. Wow!
Wow! Just what I needed to get started.
Excellent tutorial. I've worked with other cad programs, but am just beginning with this one. This is perfect. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It was fun to make a toy block. And i had to improve it by adding parameters. I made it so the length and width depended on the amount of knobs in either axis, same with the cylinder at the bottom. Supercool computer program.
thx. flied thru it and watched whole vid 1st. then i decided to do it step by step. easly 2 hours work (mind you, its my 1st time playing with fusion 360) . great tutorial . step by step and lots of back and forth the vid. thx . looking forward for the rest
Thank You - This is about the 4th tutorial I have tried. You covered things, so small, yet people leave out I guess assuming we already know it ( we dont). Great instructional video!
Love your clear step-by-step explanations. Combines a bunch of most commonly used functions into a simple but informative design.
Thanks for your support!
Perfect! Nice bite sized tutorial, clear, fast and to the point. Thank you, I'm gonna subscribe!
Thank you for this
Thank you for making these! Really appreciate the lessons.
You are a VERY good instructor Kevin
It's been 2-1/2 years since I've been in Fusion 360...
You see, I was getting into Fusion 360 and I was moving right along - although somewhat sloppy because I wasn't setting up files the right way...
I just busted right into designing without even using proper constraints sometimes...
Unfortunately I had severe retina problems in both eyes that required a series of surgeries and procedures to get my Eyesite back - it took almost 2 - 1/2 years...
I'm back now and I decided to go back to the basics first - which you teach VERY well...
As a retired Mechanical Designer I can see say that you make everything straight forward...
I'll do things the right way now - the METHODICAL way this time...
I design the interiors for Class B RV's...
Thanks again Kevin...
Pete
PS- I am trying to get a STP file or BREF of the Mercedes 2500 - 144 wheel base - High roof to make it easier for me to design...
Do you know of any way of obtaining these drawings?
I don't mind paying for them as it would make my design work a lot easier...
Thank you for this, Kevin. Much appreciated.
Thank you, very explanatory and simple ))
I'm following this tutorial in Fusion 360. Very well presented! Thank you!
great tutorial , thanks
thank you bro!!
THANK YOU
great tutorial
BRILLIANT ! Just taken a look at your revised tutorials for 2022 software. Can't tell you how much easier it is to follow than trying to convert old tutorials into current software. (Not sure why Fusion folk want to keep messing about with the user interface with their otherwise superb software ?. Model.. Design.. etc. ) Thanks again for taking the time, your tutorials are the best !🇬🇧
This is the first tutorial I felt like I could follow easily and not get left behind
This is the best beginning 360 tutorial I have found so far. I have a lot of experience in 2D CAD and was getting very frustrated trying to figure out the flow in 360. A bracket I was trying to design which would have taken 30 seconds in 2D cad took an hour. After watching this video I have a much better handle on how the tools work and look forward to the rest of the series.
I've been watching heaps of tutorials to try and get my head around Fusion and this is by far the best I have seen yet.
Thank you so much! This is far superior to learning fusion 360 than what I found on the Autodesk site. Just building models is so much more instructive!
This is brilliant, watched a few tutorials and this is the one that makes the most sense. THANK YOU
Thanks, Irish! Glad to hear that. Happy learning :)
Thanks! I'm coming from Maya and these are great for getting me up to speed in Fusion 360.
I have been wanting to get into 3D printing for some time, finally decided to make the jump. Been printing models that others have created just to get familiar with the process. My next step was to jump into learning how to 3D model. Played our with TinkerCAD in the past but recently found your tutorial and I'm hooked. Just finished Day 1, going to go through these steps over and over until they get ingrained in my mind. Looking forward to your next 29 training videos. Thanks for providing this.
life saver mate
Thank you so much for re-doing this Fusion 360 course. I was amazed at the power of sculpting when I watched one of the days from your previous one. This time, instead of skipping to what I wanted to see, I'll actually go through and watch everything.
Thanks for your support, Mike! Happy learning 😁
Great tutorials. Thank you so much for making them!
great job
thanks you, I was looking for latest updated fusion 360 tutorials 2022, and here it is. looking forward to learn from you :)
Thanks, Akash! Happy learning :)
Fantastic tutorial - I'll be going through the whole course!
thank you so much for putting this together. This is incredibly helpful
Your video helped me a ton, thank you. Best tutorial I have come across yet .
Thank you! I have previously used sketchup and tinkercad, But this really helped me out since this is more complex to use!
Thank you. This was clear and easy to follow. :)
Wow, so much easier to understand than other tutorials I've seen. Thanks.
Excellent. Looking forward to more.
This video was immensely helpful - thanks !
Amazing ! What a great clear video! Thank you!
This was very helpful, thank you. I can't wait to watch the rest of the series.
thanks mate, this is a great start
Excellent work thank you 🙏
Nice lesson
I'm glad you explain every detail, an excellent tutorial
Hiya, just stumbled across your tutorial, only watched 5 minutes and loving it! i have a 12yr old and 17 yr old I've told the can have a 3D printer but only if they learn how to design stuff first! keep up the great work and I'll subscribe when i figure out how to do it!
This might be the best tutorial I have ever seen on youtube for any topic. The information couldn't be more clear.
Thank you.
This was infinitely helpful!
wow that was really good. Doing 1 lessing every day and playing arround. This is really really fun. Thanks a lot man for the content.
This was extremely helpful! I have the latest 2024 version, but I had no issues following your great tutorial. I'm used to design in Blender and TinkerCAD, so Fusion 360 is a whole other way of doing things. Your tutorial here has been extremely valuable - thanks for making it!
This is incredibly helpful information!
Many thanks!!!!! I feel I learned so much in just the first lesson.
Very good tutorial! I hope you find the time to complete the series, looking forward for it.
I have been designing Model Train parts for several years. Lately I have been struggling in modifying parts for new applications. I saw this new video and found I have forgot more than I realized. Every video of your I learn something. Thank You for a good resource. I reference new train buddys that want to 3D Print to F360 and your videos BEFORE getting their machine. If all you can do is print. STl files from someone else you are missing the greatest gift to realizing your inner creative self. You must learn CAD, F360 to me is so strong yet hobbyist can use use it with some practice and your tutorials. Thank you so much. Dennis
Well said, Dennis! Couldn't agree more in the power of being able to create your own unique designs. Glad to hear you're finding these videos to be helpful and I appreciate you watching! :)
very helpful
thank yoi
Thank you so much.
Very useful tutorials.
Great tutorial man , we need more please. The way explained is easy to understand.
Really enjoyed this video and will begin the program. Was nice and easy to follow and action using two screens.
Thank you so much for this great video!
Thanks, very clear
thank you! 💜
Amazingly helpful videos.
Just wanted to give thanks for this awsome trainig! 10/10
Awesome lesson!
