I add a stick on convex mirror to passenger side. Worked great.
Yes, me too. Found cheap convex mirrors that matched the diameter of the FFR ones. Carefully glued them over the flat mirrors with black RTV. Turned out ok. With no fenders I can see a bit of both rear tires. Moved the dash mounted mirror to up hanging from the inside of the hardtop. That was tricky installing rivnuts into the space between the inner and outer skins of the top without drilling all the way through. Had about 9/16” of depth to work with. Now can see out the rear window.

The Gen 2 tanks are just a little bit under 14 gallons but the sending units are very conservative with the last few gallons of fuel so they act more like a 10 gallon tank with a 3.5 gallon reserve. Because of the shape of the tank the first gallon or 2 used lower the float and thusly the gauge reading quickly. My experience is when you have a gauge reading of 1/4 tank you really have about 6 gallons of fuel remaining.
Yeah, I went 10 miles and a 1/4 of a tank disappeared when it was on Full. Crazy. Thanks for the info. It helps.

yes put a valet setting on it. just limit the rpm to 2500 or so. i don't want others driving my hotrod either also i always disconnect my battery at the end of the day.
Ditto the gas tank comments from Whit. I’ve got 90 miles on mine now and have had it on various roads and the highway. Drives well, but 450hp is ready to go anytime. I’ve got a TREMEC and could probably use 5th gear and never shift and still terrorize the neighbors. Brakes are rock hard but haul it down quick with a lot of pressure. I have the drivers side mirror attached to the cowl and it is functional. I also installed a rear view camera above the window and that acts as my rear view mirror through the head end unit in the console. Ride height and alignment still need work, but it drives ok and is not bad over bumps.
Did you put a liner on the hard top to cover the wires? Is the mirror above the window itself since it does not need to be in the line of sight?
@@StreetRodJim I created a small tunnel above the window to hold the camera. I am planning some plastic panels for a liner. More stuff on my FFR Forum site. I am happy with the 3 point belts for a street car less stuff to fall into bad places and fine if you are not on the track.
When I went to the build school they mentioned that the ECU would need time to learn about the engine and it’s settings would change after a few miles. I’ve gone old school and will run a Holley carburetor. HEI distributor.
Mine is running pretty good actually, but will be getting a tune soon.
aesthetics for the 2 mirrors and probably some places require second mirror even if it is vestigial
You can put on a clear 3M protective wrap over your paint to protect from a dropped seat belt.

I bet that 6.0 liter will snap to attention pretty damn nicely. Even stock they suprised me.
I would get some motorcycle mirrors and mount to the front pillar. Just get short stem mirrors to cut vibration down

I have not installed a trunk latch and will not be installing the one that comes with the car.
