2 Chronicles

God showed up in 2 Chronicles 20 when Jehoshaphat called upon the lord for help because he was under attack. He had his people fasted and prayed and
In verse 15 God spoke through Jahaziel saying “Be not afraid nor dismayed, for the battle is not yours it’s the lord”
that comfort and a sign of relief knowing that God is in the midst
Think about where you are in life and all that we are fighting against here on earth,
Temptations, anxiety, depression, confusion, and the list goes on
God won the battle for them as he promised which they then praised and sung “Praise the lord for his mercy edureth forever.
The Bible is literally telling us what to do after being brought through our test and trials.
After God has brought us through we should definitely acknowledge him and give the praise and the glory.
See The difference between believers and rebellious people is that we have God that we can call upon and ask for help. And just like he did for Jehoshaphat he can do it for you.
But one thing about the Bible is make sure you read thirdly because towards the end in verse 35 Jehoshaphat ended up joining Ahaziah king of Israel who was wicked himself and when he did that he met disaster himself.
It’s two lessons in this chapter:
1) Call upon the lord and he will fight your battles.
2) The people who you associate yourself with that doesn’t live for Christ can guide you right into disaster.
My prayer is that he fights my battles here on earth and keep me away from those that doesn’t align themselves with his word. And if a big if I come across one or many which I do that choose to live the complete opposite May I one not judge them for I am a sinner myself and no better than the next person but two be used in away that they will want to change their life around through the grace of God.
Trust God, Believe in him and Live it.
