Thanks for making these behind the scenes videos, great to hear the philosophy behind your work and your practice. Most appreciative of your great work!! 👏
Yup. They have saved my eyes a number of times when assisting Scott. They are also good for putting on stand legs if you have to setup in a clients home and they have a posh floor.
Are you sure you're British man?! You said aluminum like an American at first. LOL! I'm so glad I found you while being laid up, as I've been binging your wonderful content these past few weeks. Thank you! Keep the videos coming!
I would love to hear more about the light in the sequence with the chicken dip. I hate it when there is a shadow on the surface coming from my fill light but you managed to get rid of it. How? Also there is that nice highlight on the ketchup coming from the right. Would be nice to see hear more about that. Otherwise, great videos!
Thank you very much for this Scott! Looking forward for the next ones you talked about. Also, Moggy doesn't help as much as we think? Cut on the Salmon until he learns ahah
those pictures are awesome! this made me hungry.. the last one looks like shrimps :D a photographer I used to assist for a while always told me : when doing something realistic, a good picture don't need a lot post production! other wise it's not the right photographer for the job
Hi Scott, recently I've invested in old broncolour equipment and still coming to grips with it all, Im curious to know why you chose the fashion over your Pulso 4. P.s be great if one day you did a break down of it all (found there's very limited information on the topic)
Really useful. I wonder what your criteria are on cutting off part of your subject. There is a photograph by Jeff Wall where a foot is missing (in the Tate I believe), it irritates me immensely. After seeing it in a book given to me about 20 years ago I always judge and bristle. You seem to have the problem cracked.

I liked your "reading from left to right" lighting explanation. Never considered that before. So will have a play around with some test shots.
Thanks. I wish I could reference where all these things come from, but I can never remember who told me what.
@@TinHouseStudioUK This advice stroke me too : simple, yet very smart !
@@TinHouseStudioUK Maybe from Caravaggio? I think he was the original light from the left still life artist.

No worries Jason, glad you enjoyed it.
Never realized why I lit left to right. Makes total sense! My graphic design sensibilities must've kicked in. Thanks for the BTS looks!
Simple things like putting a tennis ball on the end of a c stand boom are the reasons I keep coming back to your videos! Eyes are useful 😂

@@rickjbradbury that’s a game changing idea! Cheers buddy!

Got a question on your 3way head. What are your toughts on the 405 or is the 410 just as good?
Very interested in more info on what you started to say about your choice of 35 mm vs the 50...
Hello, can you share the glycerin that you use? I can't find here the right one. Thank you!
The food styling and photography was not the best but I still enjoyed the video
Hey, this is Rohit and I am happy to be covid free now....!
, glad you are feeling better :)

Love the first and last photo. Amateur photographer here... The dark cave like interior of the blt just didn’t feel right to me.
How did you learn all this?
Nice video, here in the US the salmon when enjoyed on bagel is called lox.
My ex gf has already shot for Mcdonalds!
That is ok shot but not special in this shot
WTF?
Ex food photographer from dubai man, love the shots! Channel has a great vibe! Looking forward to more. 👏🏻
Thank you 🙌
