It was actually both types of pain because they are one and the same. Difference is, most times you don't die and sometimes you do from the pain. You can be altered for better or worse or your dead.

I should've known better than to doubt Denzel's ability to figure out a character and put it in the proper perspective. Both movies were exceptionally well done. :)
Dont buy that ambiguity, a pain that does not hurt is not a pain. And a pain that alters (don't know what it even means) is not a 'real' pain; or it still hurts (doesn't mean there are 2 types). Context is wrong but was meant to make it sound impressive but is not
Yep, I didn't get. Whether it is physical or not, if it does not 'hurt' then it is not a pain. Whether some pain alters you or does not alter you, that pain still hurts. There are no two kinds. Ambiguity is: Not all pains hurt, some find pleasure in getting it from or giving it to, other At least there are a multitude of its kind, not only 2 All pains alter someone, you cannot remain unaffected There are 2 kinds of pain 1 that alters you and 1 that does not. It is all ambiguous

Denzels characters voice perfectly embodies the voice of a man who’s knuckles are well known to the feeling of faces.
"Excuse me sir, do you know why I pulled you over?"
Denzel Washington: *beep* "16 seconds."
When Robert McCall hits the timer on his watch, it's time to reconsider your original plan--and run like Hell.
I love the subtlety of the guy shifting in his seat. The uncomfortable feeling knowing his time card is about to be punched, and there is not a damn thing he can do about it.
Producer: Denzel what role do you wanna play in the next hit movie??
Denzel: yes.
the way he sits down at 2:45 with his hands propped up like "Now that you know that these 2 are lethal, lets continue"
This movie, Training Day, Man on Fire, Safe House, Deja Vu, American Gangster, I could go on and on. DW is truly a gift to his profession.
The way this scene is played and directed is what makes it unique and the best part of the movie. I love watching this part! 👍

The crazy thing is, the mother never asked Denzel to find her child. He did it on his own. He disguised himself all the way to Turkey to help a stranger in need.
Apparently, she did. McCall answers the calls of the desperate and despondent via his "deep state" website. He's not assuming the superhero posture aggressively looking to be a savior. He offers his services very discreetly. They call him, he doesn't call them...and his reward is anonymity.
It's funny that women take children away from fathers all the freaking time and nobody bats an eye. And they also do it simply to hurt the father. And not only that, but that stuff is legal. Talk about real injustice.
And another very cool scene.. spoiler...

John Wick, he gave the doorman a choice outside the club. The doorman chose well.

Denzel Washington's acting is so good
When you realize he just killed UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski this hits different.
Andrei would smesh him
Good eye bud
Well to be fair, arlovsky probably got knocked out by the air hitting his chin first. the rest was just an accident.
Why? The script said he should lose, so he lost. His fighting ability was irrelevant.

Dont buy that ambiguity, a pain that does not hurt is not a pain. And a pain that alters (don't know what it even means) is not a 'real' pain; or it still hurts (doesn't mean there are 2 types). Context is wrong but was meant to make it sound impressive but is not
@@robinorhysrhys1562 the pain that alters is the one you learn from, which is not necessarily physical pain. You just didn't get it.
Yep, I didn't get. Whether it is physical or not, if it does not 'hurt' then it is not a pain. Whether some pain alters you or does not alter you, that pain still hurts. There are no two kinds.
Ambiguity is:
Not all pains hurt, some find pleasure in getting it from or giving it to, other
At least there are a multitude of its kind, not only 2
