    We filipinos used to called someone ate at kuya even if they are not family. There are so many words to used addressing other people in our country. I know that you feel disappointed on some parts of the story, well thats how the production how it was made in our tv stations. We the same feel it disappointing but we can’t do anything about it, just let it through. Hahaha

    Elias being alive in El Fili is one of the twist that the writer made because it is one of the what ifs of Rizal (I read it in some article) and he really died in the novel and yes he burned himself to death together with Sisa.

We Filipinos owed our freedom to Dr.Rizal and his novels.. without his novels the filipinos would not have the courage to revolt to achieve our freedom.. and NO REACTIONS TO MCAI FOR YOU TO MILK if our country was still under Spanish rule

    Yes, Quiroga is a Chinese businessman. He represents the Chinese businessmen in the Philippines during that time. Fidel, as a character, is Chinese and the actor who plays him, David Licauco has Chinese blood in real life. They're not necessarily speaking Mandarin Chinese. In that scene, they're speaking Hokkien- a Chinoy (Chinese-Pinoy) business language during that time.

    In the book, Elias did die after blood loss then Crisostomo and Basilio burnt their bodies. But from what I remember from the version I read in high school, they buried one and burned the other corpse.
    The major twist that changed the whole El Filibusterismo storyline was Elias being alive and it was Klay who saved him.

  • @RainFumera
    @RainFumera Год назад +1

    The reason why Crisostomo Ibarra looks like that is because Rizal used to travel in different countries and he studied in Madrid for many years, and because Rizal was exposed to foreign people, maybe he took Simoun's likeness as a foreign character. And since Filipinos are always in awe of foreigners, he made it so that they could not recognize Crisostomo's personality. You will understand him better once you watch the story of El Filibusterismo.

    32:46 LOL it doesn't have to make sense in my opinion, even Klay doesn't know what's happening since she just trespassed the book but I'm guessing it's a normal occurrence that happens when somebody enters the book? Maybe a glitch that lasts a few minutes or something. Since she isn't guided by Mr. Torres this time, maybe that also caused it.
    Also remember, when she transmigrated in the first episode, we didn't see the "freeze" because she was sleeping? What if it also happened but we just didn't see it since she was sleepin? (please take note that the writers said Klay's role also serves as the audience's point of view so things are presented to us based on Klay's POV)
    This is just my theory or guess. I haven't seen anyone who questioned it when it was aired. But yeah, point-taken. It would've been better if they explained it

  • @alibatafreak
    @alibatafreak Год назад +1

    Also for the "ate" part, they translate it as "miss" because she used it in a stranger and not a family member. This is similar in Japan that they called someone "neechan"(big sis) for a female stranger. You'll notice this if you are also watching Shin-chan where he address sexy ladies as "neechan"

    Rizal has nothing to do with the characters being frozen when Klay arrived. Not sure why you're taking out your frustration of that plot on him. The writer of this version just needed to insert a short comedic storyline to show how Klay found an appropriate clothing for that period . Of course, we don't think everything is perfect with this telenovela. It's a fantasy for crying out loud. Just like all other movies that involve time traveling, they don't have to make sense. Why get hung up on the frozen characters and not the fact that Klay just teleported into a novel???

    • @Ryuzaki-n2q

    For those who don't know, there was a third novel after El Fili, it's called Makamisa. It was unfinished (only one chapter) and the original manuscript was founded in 1987, almost a century after it was written by Rizal in vernacular Tagalog language. As to how Rizal just suddenly stops writing this quote-en-quote "third sequel" is a complete mystery to me. To know more, you can search it. This is only what I know 😅🧖🏻‍♂️

    It's not perfect i agree but this is the best series so far compared to other series/telenovelas here lol.
    The thing about PH telenovelas generally is they are still filming and editing while the show is currently airing.
    Example: They're airing episode 85 on TV, while filming the episode 100. That's the typical prod flow. So the whole production process should be fast-paced which can affect and sacrifice the quality of work unfortunately.
    Sometimes, it's also bec they're low on budget. That's another factor.
    In MCI's case, I read that it's highly-budgeted production that's why it's much better than other telenovelas here. Plus, it's well-researched from costumes to setup.

    The use of "Ate" when referring to a stranger or someone not related to you is the equivalent of saying Miss.
    That's why it's translated like that. Binibini is a bit too formal and Klay is a Gen Z after all xD

  • @MenardYsraelCruz

    Yeah, the second part may have a lot of nonsense just to fill the plot. I think the show was only intended for the first novel, Noli but fans demanded for the second novel as well. So, think of this as some short ~20 episode special about the first ~80 episodes about Noli. For me, the true MCI ended with Noli. Though the book was better of course.
