We filipinos used to called someone ate at kuya even if they are not family. There are so many words to used addressing other people in our country. I know that you feel disappointed on some parts of the story, well thats how the production how it was made in our tv stations. We the same feel it disappointing but we can’t do anything about it, just let it through. Hahaha
Elias being alive in El Fili is one of the twist that the writer made because it is one of the what ifs of Rizal (I read it in some article) and he really died in the novel and yes he burned himself to death together with Sisa.
I live inside the what we call Walled City(Intramuros) so if you notice, no civil guard standing in front of the monument at that hour, and no park goers to be seen because the Park opens at 7am. She intentionally went there without anyone to notice her plan to talk to the monument😊
32:56 I think it was for transition purposes (the moving people, passing from the left, covered the camera, and revealed that the people are moving again- Klay took the clothes of the woman while the time still stopped)
"I think Rizal lost his mind with this book man" its kinda disrespecting Dr.Rizal didnt lost his mind writing his novels..Let me remind you he's not just a novelist HE IS A NATIONAL HERO of the Philippines..He has reasons.. We Filipinos owed our freedom to Dr.Rizal and his novels.. without his novels the filipinos would not have the courage to revolt to achieve our freedom.. and NO REACTIONS TO MCAI FOR YOU TO MILK if our country was still under Spanish rule
I am now vibing to "Crazy as pinoy" performance in wish buz and remembered your reaction to them. Just want you to notice the band members' name sisa ,crispin and basillo.☺️ I immediately open my youtube and of course your video was first on my feed and i able to write this comment right away. I'll watch this reaction vid later.😊
Yes, Quiroga is a Chinese businessman. He represents the Chinese businessmen in the Philippines during that time. Fidel, as a character, is Chinese and the actor who plays him, David Licauco has Chinese blood in real life. They're not necessarily speaking Mandarin Chinese. In that scene, they're speaking Hokkien- a Chinoy (Chinese-Pinoy) business language during that time.
I feel you Ovela i feel you, that’s how telenovela in our country hahaha. No its not, its not perfect to us as well, we are just used to it, hahaha. But as i have said i am watching this series with you, with only you. There are other vloggers/ bloggers whose watching this series but i started it with you and i will continue watching it with. If you dare to stop, then its time for me to stopped it too. Finish or unfinished I am with you.
yes 13 years. correct 13 years in literary time. noli was published in 1887 by rizal in berlin germany. el filibusterismo was published by rizal in 1891 in ghent belgium.
In the book, Elias did die after blood loss then Crisostomo and Basilio burnt their bodies. But from what I remember from the version I read in high school, they buried one and burned the other corpse. The major twist that changed the whole El Filibusterismo storyline was Elias being alive and it was Klay who saved him.
The reason why Crisostomo Ibarra looks like that is because Rizal used to travel in different countries and he studied in Madrid for many years, and because Rizal was exposed to foreign people, maybe he took Simoun's likeness as a foreign character. And since Filipinos are always in awe of foreigners, he made it so that they could not recognize Crisostomo's personality. You will understand him better once you watch the story of El Filibusterismo.
32:46 LOL it doesn't have to make sense in my opinion, even Klay doesn't know what's happening since she just trespassed the book but I'm guessing it's a normal occurrence that happens when somebody enters the book? Maybe a glitch that lasts a few minutes or something. Since she isn't guided by Mr. Torres this time, maybe that also caused it. Also remember, when she transmigrated in the first episode, we didn't see the "freeze" because she was sleeping? What if it also happened but we just didn't see it since she was sleepin? (please take note that the writers said Klay's role also serves as the audience's point of view so things are presented to us based on Klay's POV) This is just my theory or guess. I haven't seen anyone who questioned it when it was aired. But yeah, point-taken. It would've been better if they explained it
Also for the "ate" part, they translate it as "miss" because she used it in a stranger and not a family member. This is similar in Japan that they called someone "neechan"(big sis) for a female stranger. You'll notice this if you are also watching Shin-chan where he address sexy ladies as "neechan"
I suggest you don't have to overthink the technicalities in the show. I wondered why they moved all of the sudden LOL. Don't mind anymore the CGI. I believe in the Philippines, this CGI is even better than what I have seen in our shows here.
Not really half Chinese. His dad is Filipino (but could be of distant Chinese ancestry because of the surname Licauco which was derived from a Chinese name) and his mom is of Filipino-Chinese descent (Sy family). Part Chinese siya gaya ng karamihan sa mga Pinoy na Chinito/Chinita (Tsinoy).
Rizal has nothing to do with the characters being frozen when Klay arrived. Not sure why you're taking out your frustration of that plot on him. The writer of this version just needed to insert a short comedic storyline to show how Klay found an appropriate clothing for that period . Of course, we don't think everything is perfect with this telenovela. It's a fantasy for crying out loud. Just like all other movies that involve time traveling, they don't have to make sense. Why get hung up on the frozen characters and not the fact that Klay just teleported into a novel???
wla siyang common sense. d niya nagets na yung portion na may naglakad habang naka frozen ung iba is for transitioning lang para makapagbihis si Klay... naging creative lang ang MCAI team dun
For those who don't know, there was a third novel after El Fili, it's called Makamisa. It was unfinished (only one chapter) and the original manuscript was founded in 1987, almost a century after it was written by Rizal in vernacular Tagalog language. As to how Rizal just suddenly stops writing this quote-en-quote "third sequel" is a complete mystery to me. To know more, you can search it. This is only what I know 😅🧖🏻♂️
@@XavierKing.7 Mga Ibong Mandaragit was written by Amado V. Hernandez. It ACTS as a sequel to El Fili as there is a connection between the novels for it tells the protagonist's search for Simoun' s treasure.
It's not perfect i agree but this is the best series so far compared to other series/telenovelas here lol. The thing about PH telenovelas generally is they are still filming and editing while the show is currently airing. Example: They're airing episode 85 on TV, while filming the episode 100. That's the typical prod flow. So the whole production process should be fast-paced which can affect and sacrifice the quality of work unfortunately. Sometimes, it's also bec they're low on budget. That's another factor. In MCI's case, I read that it's highly-budgeted production that's why it's much better than other telenovelas here. Plus, it's well-researched from costumes to setup.
This part of El Fili actually is kinda dark and boring for me though not all the scene, they just shortened the story because they extended the show for a month if i'm not mistaken. But you'll never regret watching it until the end and i'll watch it with you, i'm exciter for the ending part 😅❤
Padre Salvi rap*ng MC while his condition is getting worse is so disgusting.. He actually raped MC in the Novel.. dont believe what you see in the epilogue scene in the series because the epilogue part was already altered
The use of "Ate" when referring to a stranger or someone not related to you is the equivalent of saying Miss. That's why it's translated like that. Binibini is a bit too formal and Klay is a Gen Z after all xD
Yeah, the second part may have a lot of nonsense just to fill the plot. I think the show was only intended for the first novel, Noli but fans demanded for the second novel as well. So, think of this as some short ~20 episode special about the first ~80 episodes about Noli. For me, the true MCI ended with Noli. Though the book was better of course.
japanese robots? horrendous? haha.. you mean voltes v.. the animation is very good, but the color grading, the lighting, the rendition, the post prod, the script, the love story angle, the acting, the actors recruited for the role, the costumes are all horrendous.

Thank you for always uploading this series.❤

Same reaction with you seeing Elias again....well waiting for another...thanks Ovela another exciting episode with You👍♥️
Basically Simoun is Ibarra in disguise to do a revenge if you just pay attention on what Klay mentioned about revenge plot on previous episode
Yeah they we're speaking Chinese on that episode and also david the actor who plays fidel character is also haft Chinese and filipino:)
Your sneeze synced with the gunshots of Fidel and Elias
😂😂😂
love rewatching this series with ovela
Yes, Quiroga is Chinese. That scene also confirmed that Fidel himself is a Filipino-Chinese (he was speaking Chinese with Quiroga).
"I think Rizal lost his mind with this book man" lmfaooo
I will continue watching it for tomorrow ❤
I live inside the what we call Walled City(Intramuros) so if you notice, no civil guard standing in front of the monument at that hour, and no park goers to be seen because the Park opens at 7am. She intentionally went there without anyone to notice her plan to talk to the monument😊
Of course they're not going to see each other I knew it. They really know what they're doing 😂
Thank you Ovela for another epesode.
32:56 I think it was for transition purposes (the moving people, passing from the left, covered the camera, and revealed that the people are moving again- Klay took the clothes of the woman while the time still stopped)
Yes, KuYa OveLa, that is Dr. Jose RizaL monument in Luneta park 🌄

Klay's mom was also a famous singer and teenage actress before.
❤❤❤
hey some of us does talk to our selves like that 😂
Kuya😊 Can you react the JVKE - Golden hour(SB19) Remix ❤❤❤ Thankyou

It's kinda strange that you would compare that to something lesser known. It kinda made your statement more confusing 😅
@@_Pixelated No it's not strange for Asian people so you can't say that it is less common

Elias really burned himself in the book. But the GMA gave it a twist.
Thanks ovela I'm also agree with your reaction about crisostomo looks its fine if he got a long hair and beard to disguise but why its blonde
you already said the answer to your question... to DISGUISE
❤
yes david licauco in real life he is half chinesse😄
Not really half Chinese. His dad is Filipino (but could be of distant Chinese ancestry because of the surname Licauco which was derived from a Chinese name) and his mom is of Filipino-Chinese descent (Sy family). Part Chinese siya gaya ng karamihan sa mga Pinoy na Chinito/Chinita (Tsinoy).
Ovela why you still did not come to the Philippines... it's already mid July... you said you gonna come to the Philippines on May...
Under that rizal monument in luneta lies the remains of Dr. Jose Rizal...

That's how my brain works

I think Crisostomo is wearing a wig or just dyed his hair blond as a part of his disguise as Simoun
yes the Philippine CGI was terrible. that is why i dont watch philippine fantasy drama. except for this one of course
