    Lyrics: Through and Through
You've got that look in your eye again
    It's working overtime
Worried about where I'm gonna spend my life
But it's much too late, it's much too late
Oh it's much too late to start picking fights
You said: where ya been, where ya been
Where ya going to, where ya going to, where ya going to?
    'cause I'm right here, yeah
Can't it wait, can't it wait, can't it wait
Just a minute now, just a minute now, come on
    Chorus
I need some air to breathe
I need some space, just leave
'cause I'm colder than ever (colder than ever)
I said I'm colder than ever
I'm empty, empty through and through
Someday they'll see, someday I'll be
    Unwanting of somewhere to hide
But for now I'll take shelter
Deep in the back of my mind
Can it wait? can't you wait?
'cause I ain't ready to lay it on the line
I still shake, I still shake
From this chill in my spine
    I've got this chill yeah
In the back of my spine
    Baby all the time now
Chilling my bones, chilling all alone now
Find a way, find a way, I've found a way
To cope with the everyday now
Raise your hands if you understand
    Chorus
    Smiling's just a phase yeah
    And nothing can phase me

Love your reaction and your statement concerning transgenders. 'River runs red' is one of my favourite albums ever and most of the lyrics on that album reflect the struggles transgender people go through, I guess. These lyrics are so deep, even deeper than I thought for more then ten years. I've seen the band perform two times after the operation, and they still rule the stage

I know this is 4 years old, but I wanted to comment. LoA is amazing. I saw them in 94 with Type O Negative and Stick, and met the singer through my friend from Stick. Everyone in LoA was super cool, Mina took my hat and had everyone sign it from all 3 bands. Great human being to talk with. A bunch of us chatted together about their music before and after their set. Awesome experience.

I've known about LOA since I was a teen in the 90's, but didn't really get into them back then.
Fast forward to 2016. I finally grew the courage to come out and start my own transition, and am looking for representation in metal. That's when I rediscovered LOA and fell in love.
Interestingly, when I a transgender woman, watch old LOA videos like this one. I see so much femininity in Mina's mannerisms and body language even though she wasn't out then. Makes me wonder why people were so surprised when she did come out and transition

Love Life of Agony - STILL to this day, there new stuff is good. but if you want me to say Mr Caputo's life choices are sane or normal I want to say "Hey man, I got my own opinion, which I wont get into here" except to say "it's not normal and I am unsure why it's all a sudden hate speech for me to believe that" Mina Caputo is ok and make believe and all that, Keith Caputo was infinitely better.

    • @APREACTS
      @APREACTS  6 лет назад +2

We are free to agree or disagree with it, or even consider it "normal" but Mina has the right to live her life how she sees fit, as we all do. All I am saying is live and let live. I would argue that some of the choices in what music I listen to would not be considered normal by many, does that make them wrong? Something to think about. Cheers!

I wanted to make a comment in jest about Keith's/Mina's transitioning....and feel free to delete this comment if you must, but I'd like to think Brooklyn bands and their fans were born of thicker skin. Anyway, the joke I was about to make was that Keith/Mina finally found his/her estranged Mom through looking like her. Was this joke mean spirited? No. In fact I wish Mina well on her new life, but this is the new era we live in with over explanation just so we don't offend. Peter Steele must be rolling in his grave.

LOA Kicks My Ass! The whole gender thing is really not my concern. Their music KILLS! Don't care about whether Halford's gay or King Kobra is really metal... I grew up in the same neighborhood as Keith, my aunt lived next to Pete Steele. We were just metal heads. We were all feeling weird shit, we were all different, Kieth was just born into the wrong body as far as I can tell. Talented, strong grasp of musical emotion, voice for days, and can drink you under the table, but still drive your sorry ass home. Peace!!!

Funny. I thought this was about music. Who knew it was a vehicle to go on some woke rant about how we all need to embrace and celebrate trans people. I am a heterosexual male and there is no "pride" flag for me. Why? Because my sexuality is not my identity.
