Despite torrential rain throughout the second round of the UCI DH MTB World Cup in the Highlands of Scotland nothing could stop the tens of thousands of spectators from cheering on their favorite downhillers! In true Fort William fashion we saw more than a few tough hits taken by riders like Tahnee Seagrave, Loïc Bruni and Aaron Gwin.
The Women’s finals was what Rachel Atherton called ‘the most nail-biting thing ever’ between her and Australian, Tracey Hannah with Hannah up in spilts 2 & 3. In the end, it was a British victory by just 1.611s.
In the Men’s race, after nearly crashing over the handle bars at the finish it was Commencal rider Amaury Pierron who put down the fastest time of 4m 28.578s. Aussie pinner Troy Bosnan took second, securing the leader's jersey, with last man down the mountain, Loris Vergier crossing the line in third.

Man, coverage this round was really good - like really good.
I like the variety you did this round a lot - it seems like the space around WC rounds are filling up quickly - riders, teams, media, Cathro - everybody's pumping out content, which is amazing. I think the best thing you can do is sample lots of types of content - split analysis, track walk/line selection, interviews with racers/mechanics/teams. Everyone else has a personal angle, but you're the overview/highlights/sampler - ideally, you'll be the place I send my friends who aren't into DH that gets them hooked. Plus, you've got access and footage that no one else does, so keep leveraging that to it's full potential! I think this is what you're doing right now, so just "more" is all I can ask, and that's asking alot! Ultimately, IMO the more content around the sport, the better off everyone will be.

Great video recap. Lots of highlights of some crazy fast riding through tough terrain. Well done capturing the intensity of the competition. And the short clips from the athletes fit right in. Not sure about Elliot Jackson's short clip at the end though, like WTF? How does that fit in?

Awesome video and great event. One thing I noticed I own a giant reign and was very excited to see the giant booth but it was the the furthest away and had nothing going on there. Was a shame really as I got sticker's for every other bike brand except giant and thats what I ride.
