I can imagine the reaction on the neighbors' faces if a a three rig USAR task force shows up for a medical call...I think it'd be pretty cool...
I would be saying: WTH? I can understand having the extra manpower, difficulty breathing could lead to CPR, or for lifting the PT. But, that many?

the USAR will be KME, i haven’t seen the new HR or any draw-ups or anything but i assume it’ll look a lot like LA City’s newer HR, just county markings and colors of course.

What is the white unit? I saw one at LAC station 127 aka station 51 which I got a tour of but they did not say what it was for.
I find it interesting to see the USAR vehicles going to standard medical calls. LACo.FD is interesting lol.
yea, when E103 is not available, USR103 & RT103 (together) are next up for calls in the district. same goes for USR136 and the hazmat stations.
Just curious, and do apologize if I missed something here, but the call was for difficulty breathing, so why did they actually send out the search and rescue units even tough they were canceled a bit later into the call?
when E103 is out on a run, the next run in the district goes to USAR 103 & RT 103 (RT is only staffed by 1 so it goes where USAR goes). seems excessive in apparatus but normal in staffing on scene. hope that helps, thanks for watching.
@@FB1ResponseVideos Forgot to say, LACo FD must be one of the only departments that actually use Tow Trucks as part of their operational Fleet, and have seen actually what they use those for, like rescuing people in rivers or something similier, but those trucks are cool looking as well.....

Why would a tow truck (heavy rescue) go to a medical
HR103 was not responding to a medical, they were responding to a reported major traffic accident in Santa Clarita that they were canceled from. USR103 and RT103 were responding to a medical call together. when E103 is not available, USR103 & RT103 (together) are next up for calls. HR103 is only dispatched to USAR/rescue type calls.

at the very beginning, what is that all white truck used for, am going to take a wild shot at this and say thats actually a NEW truck that was just purchased and has yet to be painted red like all of the other trucks, am I close here, also that Urban Search and Rescue truck was Bad to the bone......
there’s quite a few different jobs that vehicle could be assigned to, however definitely it’s not a new squad that hasn’t yet been painted. looks like a take-home vehicle of some sort for one the the members at 103’s. thanks for watching.
What is the white ram with the squad body on the ramp used for?
not quite sure. i honestly think it’s a take home vehicle (believe it or not) for one of the captains, we saw him taking his personal gear in and out of it. some captains have other jobs within the department that require a take home vehicle, it’s usually a crown vic or something that isn’t as nice as that ram haha. but not 100% sure.
Why the RTF for the medical?
The rtf is 2nd up for medical runs in their district.
as mentioned, USAR is second up for medical rescues in the district, RT tags along since USAR is only staffed with 2 and RT is staffed with 1...you’re pretty much getting the staffing of an engine company on scene (:

just the USAR and Rescue Tender. the USAR is staffed with 2, RT is staffed with 1 so it’s basically the same as an engine company on scene. yes, it’s a lot rig-wise but manpower-wise, it’s normal. which, of course, is what dispatch takes into consideration. the Heavy Rescue was canceled off of a traffic collision involving a semi with USAR Task Force 136.
Thanks for the reply. Pretty much the same in NYC. An Engine will respond with EMS for medical calls. All FD are also paramedics.
I was just surprised to see all that equipment rolling to a routine medical call. By the way, I love their Urban Search and Rescue Rig.

Being an ex FF i am not being critical, but would it not be more economical to add additional crew members to the Engine Co.rather than sending all those units to make up manpower, seems like false economy to me. But great job guys I'm with you all the way, keep safe.

Most wreckers I've seen are either with police departments (such as NYPD) or private companies.
most fire departments that have one, call them something different (i.e. LA County & City call them Heavy Rescue) because they’re not for towing. the boom is just to lift objects big in size (cars, trucks, etc)

affirmative. USR103 & RT103 are next up for calls in 103's area after E103. HR103 doesn't run medicals, as it's only staffed with one, but the other USAR units have more personnel and the proper equipment to begin patient assessment. thanks for watching.

@@mgp870 First of all I feel it is incumbent of me to mention the terrible wild fires in the US . They are on a scale we in the UK have never experienced thank God . We had for us large grass and peat fires this summer.
But no loss of life and damage to buildings, one can only feel sadness for the terrible loss of life & peoples homes . As for May I agree with you along with her clueless government. They have dug a huge hole for the country and are still frantically digging !!
