Agree , but there are holes/divits it's too badly done on the cheek recesses , check out WeldingGeek, his is an absolute beauty with no pitting on the joints...Best so far....IMHO.

That's pretty amazing how you figured it out into its most basic details. I was imagining making it & my mind was coming up with all sorts of bazaar radius's trying to figure out this shape flat. It's a bloody cone with a domed end ! Genius ! This is why I'm beyond my skill level. Please make me one ☝️!

For those without an English wheel, I once did this same build using a steel World War Two or Vietnam Pot helmet off of eBay as the dome. They go for like 20 bucks, if you search around. Check army surplus too.
