I think I understand how you feel-not allowing the luxury into your life. Im the same way. My adult kids would tell me to get something nice for myself since I can afford things now but it’s not easy for me to change that mindset that hasn’t been with me my entire life. I’m slowly changing and I feel great about it. I also got some Quince pieces last week and I’m very excited and grateful for them. Thank you for sharing.
You're so welcome. I hope you love your new Quince pieces!! I honestly started shifting to a more abundant mindset with things like bananas and a bag of dark chocolate chips. I'd make sure there were plenty of each so that I I could feel abundant in small ways. My kids call the overflowing banana bowl 'bananabundance'! 😂
Bananabundance: love this! And you can still not feel you are being wasteful because when they really get ripe and you can’t possibly eat them, peel them and put them in a zip lock bag and freeze them. Smoothies!
I so agree with you about luxury. Elegant is one of my style words. And while I am just a normal person in suburbia, I believe in elevating the everyday as you said. So I bother to put an outfit together, put on a dash of makeup, jewelry and perfume. It makes me feel special and the 5 mins it takes is so worth it. One of my silly luxuries is taking a travel mug on trips so I can have my favorite tea whether it is in an airport or hotel. So glad you highlighted the linen PJs, I am definitely going to try them.
Thanks Kristen for this great video and for sharing the beautiful Quince items. I just placed an order and looking so forward to receiving my sweaters New subscriber 😊 Love your hair
Though I am super glad this isn’t your new normal, this was a great addition to your channel. You find amazing things thrifting, but I don’t enjoy that process at all. It is wonderful to hear of a quality brand for the “quiet luxury” I’ve been working at for several years now. Thank you for stepping out of your norm to bring us this content.
Thanks so much! 😊 I appreciate you taking the time to comment. This will definitely not be the new norm here. I'm a coach first and always, influencer rarely. 😅 Quince is the real deal and I'm proud to share what I love from them.
I like luxury too but at a reasonable price. That is why I really appreciate Quince. The other day I watched a video and the plain white button down the girl was wearing cost $278.00!!! That jumps the shark for me personally :). I got a beautiful/like new Clavin Klein white button down at the thrift about a month ago and I paid about $2.00. Loved all the items you showed. Would love to thrift a Quince but would consider buying from them as they are reasonable.
I have been wondering about Quince. I love the look of their product online, the beautiful sweaters, but always wondered if they pilled and wore well. I will take your word for it and treat myself. Now is the time! I just had a big birthday!! 😊
I promise they are amazing! My husband's zip hoodie has never pilled... I'm truly wow'd by the quality. I look forward to wearing these new pieces often and I'll be sure to make a follow-up in the fall. Happy Birthday!
I have purchased several items from Quince: wide leg knit pants, black cotton knit v-neck sweater, Birkenstock dupe clogs, gold chain necklace, and gold earrings. I am very happy with my purchases. My only return was a linen long sleeve blouse, it was too long and I thought the linen was a little itchy. They refunded my money the day I shipped the item back.
I have purchased many quince items. I love the esthetic and the high end fabrics. I have had to depill the cashmere on high friction areas. This is normal and not bothersome to me.
Quince clothing showcases fine tailoring, which contributes to longer usability and a nicer wear. Sizing is a little wonky but the hand and and colors are wonderful
If you only purchase one item from Quince make it the Ultra Stretch Ponte straight leg pants. The quality is incredible. I'm not young anymore but these pants have great weight and smooth out my trouble areas.
Thanks for the this video and I love your morning coffee pics. ☕️ I just recently discovered Quince and I purchased the black cashmere sweater and absolutely love it.
Thank you! Quince's $50 cashmere crewneck runs true to size, classic sizing, not oversized. If you want a more oversized fit, I'd suggest sizing up one size. It's a GREAT sweater!!
I hope they will start an international business soon. Ordering from Germany is impossible. You pay even on shipping customs fee and taxes. That adds 39% at least. Tschau Petra
I've heard such good things about Quince but have not tried them yet - a friend has a wonderful linen shirt and just ordered another so I'm moving closer to checking them out. Because of my gardening, house work, cooking (sloppy cooking, even with an apron...), etc., I'm usually a cotton turtleneck and sweatshirt in the winter with jeans, t-shirt in the summer with jeans cutoffs person except for getting somewhat dressed up on Sunday for church - I don't work and don't travel much. Luxury can pay off if you use it enough as it is a false economy to have to replace things often otherwise - fewer items that are better is a good thing for most of us. Finding luxury items while thrifting is a win-win, too - thrift stores often have those unburnt candles and items that were not worn as they were "too good." When it's appropriate, I use the best of what I have so it doesn't go unused and my mantra is generally "don't buy junk."
I ordered the cream cotton blouse. Just to be clear, the $20 credit for 1st time customers only applies if you order at least $200. I'm worried about ordering anything cashmere since any type of wool is extremely itchy on me. I tried on high quality cashmere when I was in Scotland many years ago, and after 5 minutes, I was ready to crawl out of my skin. 😢
Thanks for that clarification. Certainly didn't mean to mislead anyone. I hope you LOVE the blouse as much as I do! I know that Quince has an amazing return policy so you could try the cashmere to see how it feels against your skin.
Kristen, I have tried a couple of your links and they are “malformed”? I love the couple of Quince pieces I have- cashmere turtleneck, cropped cotton sweater, and a cognac handwoven crossbody bag. Also, gifted a duvet cover and shams to our daughter. All far exceeded our expectations!
If you like those pajamas, you should try Lily silks pajamas. Once you ordered Lilly silk pajamas and wear them, you won’t wear anything else. Trust me I’ve got three or four pair.😊🇺🇸
Handbags to me is just an expression of my personal style I can wear inspired version just as much as a luxury version but I only have three MoMcoco 's bags because I don't like to waste money
Great video! I love Quince and have a couple of their tops. What size do you wear? I ordered a small in the cardigan and it swallowed me up. I’m 5’0” and weigh 120. Would XS work, I don’t look good in oversized tops.
Thanks! The blouse runs true to size. I've been wearing my clothes a bit looser for the past few years. I like the slouch of an oversized piece. I have the blouse in a small and considered ordering a medium. I think the XS would be worth a try. It's a fabulous top!!
I did at first and then exchanged the sweaters and pjs for the next size up. I've been preferring my things more oversized lately and the next size felt better.
I usually don't share sizing because it's such a sticky, charged subject. And yet, with Quince pieces, I want you to be able to order correctly. Are there items you'd like sizes for specifically? I'll respond here. I will also put the sizes in the description soon. Thanks!
Just ordered the silk tank from quince and I was wondering what brand bra you wear under yours. Is it a spaghetti strap? I’m 72…don’t like my bra to be showing much! Love your Chanel! Thank you.
My bra is old from Aerie. It does have thin straps. Over the years, I've relaxed my views on bra straps showing. I don't try to have them show, but if they do, I'm okay with it.
I wash all sweaters and blouses (turned inside out) in mesh bags on cold. I toss them right into my washer with other like items or towels. Then I lay flat or hang to dry. I've been laundering nicer things like this for years and haven't had any trouble.
I like Quince but overall the fit of most of their items are just very long. They do not have any?/ many ‘cropped’ items for short torso or just ‘short’/ petite women. I wanted to purchase their classic style, light weight cashmere cardigans but they are so long and narrow. Case in point that cardigan you are wearing is apparently supposed to be ‘cropped’? It looks like a regular’ long cardigan and I’m guessing you are not 5’4” or under? ( I could be wrong). If brands can’t/ won’t specifically have petite sizing options then at least they could make a couple of truly cropped options.
I can understand your frustration. I'm 5'6". I have a long torso for my height. Tops and sweaters are often too short for me. Quince seems to be a brand that hits me in the right spot. I exchanged the striped sweater shown for the next size mainly because the first was too short for me.
@@KristenCainStyleI was going to ask the same question about your proportions. I am 5’10’ with a shortish torso and long legs. Its so difficult to see how something would fit on me compared to others so thanks for sharing that information.
I have bought several things from them lately. Cashmere sweater, silk tank and linen pants. All exceeded my expectations.
Do they run true to size and does it pill? I have been wanting to order.

I love my Quince pieces. I just wish they'd branch out in their color range. They tend towards warmer tones and I need cooler, softer tones

Can you please share what size you ordered in all of your purchases? Thank you so much-it would be so helpful!!!
Yes. I'll post them in the description.
I have about 12 pieces of their washable silk and it is first class.
Ooh! That sounds like a fabulous collection! I haven't tried their silk pieces yet! Next on my list!!

Yay!! Thank for your comment and for following along with my IG coffee fun! Enjoy your sweater!!
Interested in what size the first cardigan is - actually all of them you size up but from what! Thanks! ❤️
The cardigan is a small. It's nice and roomy without being too big. I'll post the other sizes in the description. ☺️
Loved the video!
Would you say the items run true to size? The crew neck sweater ($50)
I am loving the idea of bringing in luxury daily!

Good to know. I am just having troubles with an order from Australia... The German tax authorities are very annoying.
I’m glad to learn about Quince. I see their adds, but I have been wary of trying it.
They're the real deal!
@@KristenCainStyle Excellent! My sweater is on its way. I ordered through the link you provided.
I have a Quince cashmere robe and it pills everyday. If I shave it everyday I won’t having anything left. It cost $180
Ugh. I'm so sorry. I'm sure that's frustrating.
Is the camisole you wear from Quince too? I see they have a silk/stretch one. Thanks for sharing this company with us.
It's not. It was thrifted several years ago. (Isda & Co) I will definitely be ordering a Quince silk cami to try!
Thanks for that wonderful story at the end 💞💞

If ordering the men’s cashmere hoodie should I order my women’s size or size down?

It seems they're interested in expanding to ship internationally! Fingers crossed!
Did you get your typical size in everything?
