Wolvie I agree on the Mintage's are high on these coins . I will not be ordering the Limit of 25 . The increase of Mintage's and price has turned me away from ordering more than 2 coins :-))
I didn't get the first round so Im getting 3 sets to hopefully flip 2 in order as soon as they hit ebay Ill short the price a bit for a quick sale...the plan was to get to keep one set for myself cheaper...Well see how this works out...I figured all the people who wanted the first has to have the rest that come out right? lol...Only time will tell its certainly a gamble...
@@SilverWolverine95 Im less concerned about the mintage numbers and more focused on all the people who want the full set...the first was the first so they had an edge with collectors who just wanted the first, well see what the interest in I wouldn't be sad if I had broke even on the 2 or just kept all three I often trade to get new stuff so I can use them for trade items...The 2 coin sets will probably have less in circulation for secondary market sales since so many people will have them graded as soon as they are released...but who knows what will happen, Im only interested in them becasue they are proofs which I think look great :)
I've decreased my subscriptions for this - I cancelled all Morgans except the reverse set - I lowered that so I am only getting one of those. I'm getting the Proof Peace Dollar because I like that design. I'm only getting items from the US Mint purely on if I like the item to justify the cost.
Couple of each for me 👍 I think that the "FLIPPERS" may be in for a shock when these coins flood the market and they are sitting on 25 of each. 🤣 These coins will be readily available ~ good video. I do believe that a mintage limit of 275,000 for the Unc coins and 250,000 for the RP set is still fairly low, the proof Morgan & Peace dollars are very high. 😊 Really if a person wanted 1 of each they would be better off subscribing at the US mint to get these coins and they would get FREE shipping to boot.
@@bigo2032 The problem with is that you might get coins that have been cherry picked over and get second rate coins, unless you are looking to buy graded coins.
Wolvie- I like your videos on the US Mint silver issues to be released. Please continue. I don't need a video every day about it but a couple of times a month is very helpful. I am keeping subscribed to 2 of the Peace, Morgan, Reverse Proofs, Silver Eagles and 3 sets of the P-D-S. I just received the 2023 AWQ Silver Proof sets today. Gorgeous looking coins but darn expensive. Hoping for low mintages on the AWQ proof and silver proof sets.
Good morning SW thank you very much for another great video I was looking forward to this update! earlier this week I discovered the "Data-Available" search no longer worked and couldn't figure out how to find the numbers, thanks for sharing the new search word! As for my subscriptions, I originally had just one each for every Morgan and Peace product. I then increased the Reverse Proof set to 2 because my nephew was having a baby this year so one will go to the new family member. I think the 2023's mintage limits are high, but I also think they are going to mint to demand. If the subscriptions hit the 250k for the Reverse Proof and 275k for the Uncircs then that'll be it and there won't be any available for the launch date. But I don't think there will be 400k in subscriptions for the Proofs. I am guessing the Mint will have enough proofs for the subscriptions and then maybe 2k to 50k more at launch? Once demand is satisfied they will stop minting and I'm thinking (guessing) we won't be any where near those 400k figures. I bumped the rest of the Morgan and Peace up to 2 each, I have them on standby in case someone needs one or they'll go to my nephew's new baby.
Wolvie, it wasn't click bait. The Peace dollar shocked me. So did the rest of them. I don't understand why people are ordering more of all of the varieties, when the mintage is so high. I think some flippers are going to be in for a very rude awakening when they try and flip them.
It looks like people increased their subscriptions to the full 25... those are bigger changes than I thought they'd be... if I was tracking the numbers like you, SW, I would be doing weekly updates on the numbers available the month before each coin is released to get a feel for how many people are then reducing their subscriptions back to two or three!
It's a good thing the mint made some in San Francisco and some in Philadelphia or I would just buy the reverse proof. I added a Philadelphia peace dollar, lots of time to change my order! Mintage numbers rule !
Since I am not a flipper, I am glad to see higher mintage numbers making these coins available to more collectors. ❤This allows a true collector to purchase these without being ripped off by a middle man. I appreciate you making these videos. 👍
This is giving flippers a chance to not only try and make a profit but if they send them to be graded a better chance of getting 70s or 10s depending on what grading you choose
The release date for the reverse proof set looks like November 14 2023 which is a good while from now and could possibly make them raise the price more
I had a subscription for two of the rev proof sets and I dropped it to one. It’s just getting too expensive. Hoping I get a problem free set. Those are fairly low mintage for these modern releases just because some people hoard a lot of them. I have three of the 2021 Peace dollars. Two are MS70s and a family members own a couple more of them. So I can tell you 5 are off the market for many decades. When people own multiples that mintage is not spread around evenly to everybody that wants one by a long shot.
It's too bad they took away the "quantity available" field and replaced it with "stocklevel". QA was a live number, whereas SL appears to be inert. If anyone figures out how and/or when SL updates, I'd sure like to know. I agree it appears they have set aside the 10% for release day they referenced earlier. Increasing both price and mintage for 2023 probably means it'll be impossible to recover the issue price of these coins, with the possible exception of the Reverse Proof sets. I am curious about how they will handle the 2024 issues. I think it may be that 2023 is going to be the high mintage year for the program for some time to come.
@@SilverWolverine95 I'm thinking it may be something like the Cumulative Sales numbers - updating once a week or something like that. Hope someone smart cracks it and lets us know.
I think most people agree that the flippers aren't good for our hobby. There are so many negatives. I think the US Mint is trying to solve the "availability" problem through their subscription system, with some success, making some people happy. I think they should keep the mintages low, but figure out ways to ensure that the true loyal collectors can get their coins without having to turn to the flippers on the secondary market. As for now, I'm still sticking with getting the 3 PDS sets, because I like the low mintages, but I wish they'd go back to the 2022 mintage levels. It appears that with the current economy, they've raised the mintage a bit too high, because I can see buyers backing off. As for the Morgans and Peace dollars, I'm cutting back to one on all of them except staying at 3 for the reverse proofs, which I'm excited to see how they come out. Lordy, I sure hope they don't mess this up. They should be gorgeous!
Very interesting... I don't like they way they bumped up how many you can buy or the pricing... i may downgrade to just 1 per coin now... Thanks for sharing...

I figured that the unsold quantities would drop with the increase to 25 per address. Coin shop owners and flippers will snag them and get at least $20-$50 profit out of them. The general public had ample opportunity to reserve what they wanted now the mint can bulk sale the remainder to the profiteers.
