GUYS. i made your other salad (the first one) for my family and they LOVED it (bird and humans). infact, they had me make it TWICE in one week. i love cooking so much and im trying to be healthy and this segment is literally EXACTLY what i needed!!! thank you sooo mcuh. (p.s marlene and tracy your stage presence is so entertaining like ilysmmmmm!!)
how do you do that? I make fresh chopped veggies every day for myself and my birds (I get a 2 cup salad myself), but I hate the taste of veggies even 1 day old! they taste slimy/old to me. so I won't feed that to my birds. cooked is okay for a couple of days, but once you chop a veggie, I have to eat it in 24 hrs.
This new series has definitely inspired me. Sunday I made my big chop batch & used 1/2 of a spaghetti squash & Brussel sprouts... then roasted the BS & other 1/2 SS I cooked for myself last night 😁. Love it!

Marlene, try adding Oregano, salt and pepper into your egg white bites, like you would with an omlette. It will taste a lot better. If you spray your tin foil pan with pam they will come out easier too. I make chop for my birds every day now, last night they had hardboiled eggs with sprouts, baked broccoli and baked butternut squash seasoned with cinnamon! I will say that the shells you threw away, the birds can have those, just crush them up for them, it gives them calcium like a cuttlebone would. For breakfast today they had marlenes pellet blend, apple, cucumbers, sprouts and spinach. Please keep making these, I love the ideas!!
Rocky in the background just rocking back and forth was all I was looking at I promised i re-watched the video and saw the recipes and thank you so much for including smaller birds since I have 5 budgies and i want a large bird ( i'm only 12 so my mom doesnt trust me but i know its because she doesnt want the poop everywhere)

bell peppers are a really good source of vitamin C and the more color a pepper has the better it is for you! I love bell peppers and all of your parrot chop meals have been my ideal sort of meals (after curry, which is my favorite). And Rocky in the bg, so funny lol. Tho the idea of this tasting like kugel is insane (edit, I can't spell)
Thanks for that suggestion of vegan ricotta. As an antispecist vegan, I met some birds in the parking yesterday and one of them was showing his food which wasn't vegan. Even if you had eggs in your recipe, it's really kind to use vegan produces when possible for you. It helps to reduce animal exploitation every time. Be careful though to access the less processed ones with a good nutritional value, because often the substitutes aren't as nutritive. They are often discounted too. I'm sure some wild birds would like to make more ecological choices. Reaching environmental equilibrium isn't a easy goal, but your tips help to learn more about birds vegan options and preferances. Thanks a lot!

Hi Marlene, Tracy and Birdies!!! This looks so good! Iluka didn't look real interested in the chop but she nibbled it and that's great! I can't get Beenie to eat anything but some lettuce. He loves peas but they are frozen and he eats his pellets. He also likes the inside of string beans!!! LOL they are like tiny green beans :) I have to try and get him more interested in fresh chop! I don't know if he will ever change. It's good I can get him to eat some green veggies even if it is frozen LOL! Oh he will nibble on some raw broccoli!!! I give him pieces of raw carrot but he won't eat it. If I had my own place I would have raw veggies all the time! Love, big hugs, birdie kisses, Barb, Beenie, Baby spirit :)))
So loving this series girl! Secretly as the human behind the scenes of our bird channel, I dream of starting a cooking channel one day. Having birds gives me an outlet to practice recipes for them, & just love it so much. Lol. And btw my grams used to make that recipe of stuffed bell peppers. Fly Honey the cockatoo loves bell peppers (but she’s the only one in the flock who does) so we have been wanting to try one like this. Also, did you know Amazon fresh often has precooked quinoa and grain+veggie frozen bags. Got us thru a difficult summer so thought I’d pass that tip on. You can basically get a parrot mash already made as a side dish and just keep in the freezer. We then add their supplements and any Fav produce that’s not in it already. Also we often make up big batches of bird meals to freeze. Ice tube trays are great for smaller birds as far as portions. Or little cups you just have to set out to thaw ea day. Just a #ParrotProTip in case it helps anybirdie. Well done on this ladies!!! ❤️ Also, Fly Honey the ballerina cockatoo’s Christmas gift opening is up on our channel... it may be very Barbie + Sugar Plum Fairy. Lol. 🤷🏼♀️👸 And Happy Holidays. I think I'll use my food processor instead of hand chopping since I have budgies and they're tiny birbs. Also have a few seeds on hand, so I'll sprout those.

my indian ringneck has never been really into chop, he prefers veggies sliced into little human-bite-sized pieces. although in his defense, I've only tried chop once....
I m from india and one of my relative has indian ringneck, u don't have to feed him chop just give him/her slices of veggies. I hope he'll be fine in future

I use the mini peppers which are just the right size since my green cheeks can't eat all of the large peppers before they wilt too much...
