The way Link SLAMS the turkey on the ground and then realizes he has to go pick it up lmao
Best part of the video.
Priceless hahah
I never laugh that hard at this show. It was way too funny how they throw it then realize they need it again
He got too cocky.
Yeah, I feel like he shouldn't have done that anyway lol
I’m absolutely shocked at their logic, because somehow, it’s genuinely working.
I changed the language to German, in Legends Arceus, and this is basically how I understand what each character is saying.
@@PoserPosse have you picked up any of it from playing? 😌
i am working at stay biggest yter ever
I think that shows how well the game is designed. It's built to work with their strategy and it works like a charm.
except they be hearin "lid" as "lip"
Rhett: Hears random gibberish
Also Rhett: Dude that's definitely turkey
It wasn't random or gibberish tho...
@@3535hannah it wasn't gibberish but he HEARD gibberish. Like what he was saying back wasn't the og French so clearly he wasn't hearing the words completely correctly/remembering them correctly
This made sense to me but now that I read it back I have no idea what I was saying
@@WangxianFF7 it made sense lol

These kinds of challenges should be incorporated in schools for foreign language classes. That would be fun
We actually did something like this in my spanish class but we were just exclusively baking cookies! it was so much fun
This is a genuine method of language learning! It's a blast when incorporated into language classes.
That's kind of the basis of how immigrants learn a language. I learned English as a necessity from needing to follow instructions at school and such :)
Agreed
I was a French and Spanish teacher for 12 years. We did many activities like this. The students were always so excited and engaged!
I think American Sign Language would be great to include one day in one of these videos. A Deaf person with an interpreter to describe everything they should do.
I love this suggestion! Though just subtitles should work too.
Bump!
When I first read this comment I thought it said for them to use Sign Language as a follow direction challenge. Which would make a good episode as well.
That would be awesome
Instructions for random tasks in the majority of my ASL ability. It's my time to shine! (more like my deaf asl professor's time to shine actually)
The timing on the bacon was outstanding
Their confidence slapping the turkey down 🤣
The way they went back to pick up the turkey ham 😂😂😂
The way she got all nervous and looked back when they changed the turkey for bacon added to the comedic value so perfectly 😂
and immediately backtracked when she said bacon next 🤣 that timing is impeccable
As a francophone the french part was amazing! "THE DONDA" had me in tears.
Mon dieu ouiiii pareil 🤣 pas étonnant qu'ils doutaient 🤣
@@TheGirlAlpha same 🤣🤣
De dande hahaha
C’est çaaaaaaa
Mais la grammaires étais mal mais c’est surprenant qu’ils ont eu la marche à suivre bien
Rhett has been on a tear lately with the jokes "I'm not involved with my sons life" 😭 had me dying
It’s probably relatively true though 😂
@@TSAPsup if you listen to enough ear biscuits (especially the older ones) you start to realize it's not entirely a joke😬
@@thisnamewastaken413 that what makes it funny though, lol I bet their relationship is just fine
joke?
@@thisnamewastaken413 I would argue that if you listen to the current ear biscuits episodes, that the opposite is true. Since he always talks about bonding over music and food with his boys and he even went on a solo cross-country road trip with just his eldest
Link has been really on point this season. Winning more games and been carrying these challenges lately
Nearly messed up the Donda part though 😂
rhetts gotten too comfortable winning
He practices over the breaks 😂
Wouldn't be surprised if they're forcing it or letting it happen that way, just the way Rhett seems so unhappy this season so far kinda irks me
@@M4RKISHkilledME irk***
Rhett is a GENIUS! He FELT that "bird who wants to fly but can't energy!" 🤣
link confidently slamming right answer into the floor was very funny
I'm amazed how lucky they get sometimes when they do these episodes.
They don't need luck, they are I N T E R N A T I O N A L B O Y S
nah theyre just geniuses duh
Ill be frank, i do admit Rhett in special is very well read and travelled. Link not so much but they needed a mascot so they kept him around.
@@Svol09 saying this after Link carried the team...
@@Dunz0Washington probably referring to previous episodes. But people can improve over time, so here’s Link with the carry.
As someone who speaks french, this was impressive. Their logic somehow pointed them in the right direction.
Yea but the way the girl said Turkey was not close 😅
And I never heard of "pain complet" in my life, it's more "pain à grains entiers"!
Obviously it wasn't perfect but for someone without practice, she delt with it well.
@ I was so confused, we have "Pain de blé entier". pain complet is like... entire bread??
@@iampetz probably a mistranslation on the "100%(complete/entire)" wheat "bread"
The amount of satisfaction when Rhett and Link got a 100% on the sandwich one is immeasurable.
The German was painful but wow they did so great with the French!!
sprichst du deutch?
Yeah, as someone who speaks German the German was actually pretty bad.
@@basteagui bit informal for a random stranger on the internet
@@KatherineBoleyn yes you're a random stranger, i would rather you not talk to me, especially with unsolicited opinions
i agree. but that is a theme that is fairly common in USA. other examples would be grimm ...and any other attempt at german in pop culture i guess^^
can't judge the french though, way too rusty^^.
As a Belgian-Indonesian living in Germany, I feel like this episode was made for me. Thank you R&L!
:D
as an indonesian this is truly a bless🤣🤣
Same here, Im indonesian too!
WOW
Greetings and hugs from Berlin 🤗
"Mr. Wilson; and you said WE wouldn't be somebody" perfectly describes how Rhett & Link are such a unit. Together, they are the greatest Somebody.
I wish this clip could reach Kanye. ❤️Donna
I’m actually really impressed with Link, his French isn’t perfect but he remembers it quite well!
Especially considering he learned only for a bit in middle school
Link was actually better than her depending of the word 😂
yes, except everything he was remembering wasn't what she was saying lol. Put whole wheat bread on the plate.. "something sit down, on the bottom" lol
Guys this season is absolutely one of your best.
Seriously, I feel so invigorated watching this season in particular. It makes me feel good
As good as it is season 9 may always be my personal favourite.
Last season was the best ever… it feels like they are continuing it in this one as well. 😍👏👏👏
The positivity is what many viewers are seeking right now. Thank you!
It’s been super fun so far!
Ruby: [Very clearly enunciating the "d" in "Lidschatten" multiple times]
Rhett and Link: "Okay, so clearly that's lipstick"
Exactly!
And Link even talking about eyeLIDs
Litterally the same word just pronounced a bit differently.
@@carpediem5232 eyelips XD
Her German was very subpar to be honest. I know the German language is very hard for English speakers but even I had difficulty understanding her and I’m half German/English 😬
@@doryexplory2029 And also, it's pronounced z-eye-gen, not zEEgen.
The face she makes at the crew or camera when they threw the turkey on the ground is gold 😂
The German part was extremely hard to watch as a German speaker.
So bad German!
They missunderstood a few things because of the bad pronunciation :-/
True that! The german was really, really bad.
I don't speak German but my gf does I thought it was cool till I looked over to see her face of disappointment
The French too tbh, very bad pronounciation
As someone who has spent many hours doing Duolingo so that the owl doesn't hurt me, hearing a language is so much harder when I can't see it written as well! Even with languages I can read somewhat well, I would struggle haaaard with this. They did great!
As someone who can read French, but can't understand it when spoken, I totally agree.
Wow same!
At least with Spanish it’s a little easier bc you can spell it in your head if you have enough time
That owl is HARSH.
“So that the owl doesn’t hurt me”, it do feel like that sometimes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I adore how Chase fully commits himself to everything he does on this show, ily Chase 🌞
Chase is a gem
@@gabiluch87 SUCH a gem!
I stared into his eyes when they put the lipstick on. I think I need to send him flowers or something.
@@RighteousZeros lol too cute
Ikr🥺
"The relationship between Link, Chase and sharp objects is not healthy!"
... that's an understatement.
As a German native speaker I was almost in pain regarding the German part.... German and English are not so far apart regarding vocabulary. 🤣
Structure and lots of words are similar! But a large chunk of English vocabulary comes from Latin, through French/Norman invasion so we are never quite as good at German as we expect 😄
Link picking up the bull plushie, shaking it and saying ''Totonka'' had me dying for some reason 😂
I wonder why Link knows “sit down” in French
We all know Link was probably not an angel in school.
@@BBC600 well actually in elementary and middle school he was very obedient and timid
when i took spanish in school my teacher would tell us to sit down in spanish at the start of every class so it might just have been a routine thing that he learned from hearing it over and over
Probably just what the teacher said at the beginning of every lesson.
Pretty funny how he made a connection with “assieds-toi” and “assiette”. I’m French speaking and I’ve never thought of that 😂
When Chase is a grandfather, he's going to tell stories like "I was once payed to sit in a chair and have blush put on my nose while a girl spoke German" and his grandkids are gonna be like "Yeah, okay..."
I think being French made this episode ten times funnier for me. I actually paused to write this because I need to catch some breath. Rhett's reaction everytime he understand exactly is pure gold. And the turkey/bacon part xD
Kalyn's polyglot skills are really impressive, but I actually think this would have been much harder for Rhett and Link with a native French speaker, since the vowel pronunciation moves some of the cognates further from English.
Very true. French us incredibly hard to learn because of this!!
yes, could say the same about her korean
@@neverxnice3577 the listening in French is certainly harder than most other, if not all, Romance languages, but nothing that simple immersion can’t attune ones ears to.
bro im french and could even undertake what she was saying
A 30 (THIRTY) MINUTE EPISODE??
YES PLEASE!
Is this the longest episode? Even the 2000th episode was only 28 1/2 minutes.
The turkey splat followed by the next line with bacon was just perfection. Genuinly couldnt write something like that
Rhett unknowingly exclaiming 'Turkey!" in French will never cease to amuse me.
This episode was great!! As a native german speaker it was a little bit difficult to watch the german part because of the pronounciation, but she did her best and german isn't easy to pronounce if you aren't familiar with how to properly speak it.
Also the “Endlich” was used incorrectly, but her pronunciation was actually pretty good to understand!:)
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that felt this way 😅
"Zee-gan" 😂
To be fair she was trying to extremely over exaggerate everything so it sounded extra weird
As a Dutch speaker who only spoke or heard Dutch at home, I really enjoyed the German subtitles because I think I was pronouncing them correctly in my head. What I would have said was nothing like what I heard.
This may be controversial, but this is hands down the best game they play on GMM.
I agree. I thoroughly enjoy this game!!!
I agree, the only thing that is sad is that this series will probably end with 3 or 4 episodes, because the mythical crew doesn’t know every language.
Very good series but for me, nothing tops international taste test!
@@lilchickennuggets they can always get guests on the show that know other languages, like mike pasley's gf lol
@@reegan8460 that’s true they can get more guests, but i don’t think it’ll still have a bunch of episodes.

The pronunciation was butchered but props to her for learning in a foreign country

The reaction of Kayln is priceless, when Link decided to change turky to bacon :D
As an Indonesian, who’s met a lot of foreigners(bule). I’m honestly impressed with how well you guys did with translating these. Good job from a mythical beast in Indonesia.
Omg finally found an Indonesian mythical beast
Heyooo fellow mythical beasts
Xiaoma recently said Indonesian was the easiest language to learn (not a bunch of crazy conjugation, male/female, plurals just repeating the word, etc.). Big props.
@@interchangexVP3 Pretty easy, but still hard enough from a native English speaking perspective. One of the easiest languages in SEA to learn no doubt though.
Indonesian mythical beast!!
as a french viewer this was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my mythical life
Ahah I agree!
Pain complet had me dying
Absolument!
As someone who grew up speaking Quebec French, her pronunciation seemed odd. There were some words that I didn't know, like "l'assiette" was just "le plat" here
@@KingMidas1983 it is because she is playing at languages. She doesn't know any of them well but tries to pretend she does. Her korean was pretty bad and sounded like somebody trying to copy a specific person and like she used google translate.
I'm so shocked that Link did really well. However I was yelling at him to listen to Rhett about the donda. I've been absolutely loving this season so far.
It was so adorable to see them quickly realize they remembered French way more than they thought they did lol
Absolutely loved this, the French portion had me smiling end to end.
Should have an Aussie just speaking in our slang
No-one will get that 😂
"now, put the snag into the sanga"
I'D LOVE THIS lololol

I love seeing rhett and link happy 🤣 their friendship is so pure
As an Indonesian who speaks French & German, I vote this to be my favourite video of the year (yes I know 2022 is just started lol).. Next time probably you guys could invite your Mythical Beasts around the world to make similar short video in various languages for you 😁
still your favorite? lol
wahh ada org indo yg nonton GMM jugaaa
14:30 they rocked French, they completely forgot about the lifelines 🤣 what a glimpse into their childhood
Hearing that Kalyn knows ASL I would love to see an episode where they do ASL sentences the same way as they did the Extreme Yoga Challenge in which each sign is described to them!
Links weird tomato phobia is hilariously infuriating 😂
I can't believe this video was 30 minutes. It felt like 10. One of the best gmms ever.
The Batik, the bahasa and the bro himself Davin is always a tickle to my nostalgia bone after living in Indonesia for several years!
I think it was even harder in the German round because not every word was pronounced correctly. But she did a really good job, German is pretty difficult for non native Speaker.
i agree, and that is the most diplomatic way to say that hah
That zeigen pronounciation was ufff
Yeah german is my first language and even I had a hard time to understand what she was trying to say
i miss the old days 2012 gmm
I shtill fint it amussink zat jumanss don't sink zey haf an accent ven zey shpeak uhzer languages.

God this was AMAZING 😂😭 Absolutely lost my sh*t first with the entire german bit, and then again when Link held up the bull plushy exclaiming 'tatonka!' 😭 Wonderful!
I have only gotten to the tomato and lettuce and this is already one of the funnest episodes to me. I was yelling, ‘not ham, that is jambon!!’.
As a french person, dinde turning into donda was funny xD
And the tranche de pain complet instead of tranche de pain de blé entier …lol
@@Max9094 we say "pain complet" tho so she translated it right
Dinde está la bibliotheca is what I was thinking when reading you comment xD I really need to polish my Spanish tho
I connect very closely with Davin and the Indonesian segment.
Not because I am from Indonesia, or even speak it, but because I am in Pittsburgh, with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and I have that exact Penguin stuffed animal at home! We even call him Fleury at our house!
This series is honestly the best one on RUclips. Please do more Following directions in foreign langurs. They’re hilarious and relatable if you speak any of the languages or ever tried to learn them.
I love this series! This format might be interesting to do sometime with mythical society members from around the world, you'd have so many languages to choose from.
Rhett's expression (in the German round) from happy to confused when he realised that lipstick on the eyes doesn't make sense was hilarious!
Rhett: "stay tuned to watch us play mad gabs-" Link: *having flashbacks* "oh no" 😂😂😂
Whole wheat bread is "pain multigrain" or "pain blé entier" in French, not "pain complet" just so you know. Otherwise as a French speaker it was pretty fun to watch!
"pain complet" is a way to say whole wheat! it might be more of a regional term though? but it's def a term
Please make this a series! ❤️
You can do Italian, Japanese or Thai next! You can also do it with Filipino. And I volunteer to give you guys directions in Filipino/Tagalog! 🙋♀️😆
And also Swedish Or Norweigan or Danish. Like ANY Scandinavia language

Her prononciation could definitely use some work lol
@@JeffreyMarciano Certainly, I'm german and I didn't understand half of it ^^
Was that a legit use of "endlich"? It's my native language, but I'm not so sure right now
She did well, but not perfect. Also the German sentences were not quite right. Try the DeepL translator for safety on the mulingual episodes. Sorry to say but Google translate has so many issues with german 😅
that American "R" is a big no from me..
if stevie knows hebrew/yiddish i feel like that could be cool, its a very interesting language and i think it would be quite a good challenge
it would be awesome to use other languages too, like for example:
American sign language, Russian, Latin, ancient Egyptian, Italian, Klingon (Star Trek),
Elven and Hobbiton (Lord of the Rings) and
I looove this format! I feel like, and this is not meant as a shot at Ruby at all she did amazing, you would've gotten even more right in the German one if it was pronounced more clearly/correctly.
I wonder how would they fair Latin. Latin is an old language that few people speak, but yeah. I would love to see how would they react to someone speaking in latin.
Rhett and Link should invite my mom to read and speak it - she taught herself Latin and spent a week at "camp" where they were only allowed to speak Latin the whole time :-O
More people can speak Latin now than at the height of the Roman Empire.
The lingua franca of the Roman Empire was Greek :)
I’ve been so depressed and I haven’t been able to sleep and I just play your videos to fall asleep because they are so warm and wholesome
Rhett:”We can just go straight to Indonesia and just walk around” (mimes walking) - had me in absolute tears laughing.
Kinda wanna see them do a foreign language smelling bee, and if theres special characters it would be like u choose the order of the letters and theres decoys but you can ask for the removal of a decoy or the romanization/meaning of the word

It's just awesome that you guys are showcasing a language not really known in the West, that is Malay (Malaysian, Indonesian, Singaporean and/or Bruneian)! Love you guys!
Underrated language, imo. Especially when you consider how much of the SE Asian population speaks variations of Malay.
@@Punyulada Ikr! GMM could do a few episodes like this just about SE Asian languages!
Yeah...the german wasn't really on par from the pronunciation side, but it is a really hard language to learn, so that's understandable^^
Krise
it was bad... like really bad, even the gramma
It really wasn´t. And while it's true German can be difficult to pronounce, it is phonetically consistent. So all you have to do is try to pronounce all of the letters in the correct order. Rosa, not rose. Zeigen, not ziegen. Unless you want him to look like a goat with erysipelas.
Same for french
As someone who understands both german and english, this is so very funny! I laughed so much this episode
The way link is so positive with his translations is so funny to me
Davin has the best laugh. Comes straight from the belly.
Very SE Asian laugh if I can say so myself (am also from SE Asia)
As a Canadian my first thought was “isn’t there going to be French on every package?” It’s the US duh.🤦♀️
Sometimes there is, randomly. But usually Spanish
Link was on such a roll here! Also I love they way they say penguin 😂
These episodes are hilarious and are some of my favorites they've ever done
Too bad you did not had an actual German speaker, because I think with a more clear pronunciation you would have been able to understand it maybe better - still a great video 😊
Yea I think so too
I was very confused with the pronounciations >.
It was rough for someone who claims to "speak" it
Even if the German speaking lady was pronouncing words correctly, Rhett and Link would be just as stumped. It was hilarious 😂
This was so much fun! I loved watching your logic as you worked in each language. Great job, and thank you for making this into a series! Looking forward to the next episode (feel free to do Thai, or another tonal language - or ASL!).
Ahhh so excited to see this series again! literally one of my faves
When Chase started hamming it up for the camera with the blush on his nose, I lost it!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Pasley’s gf, Ruby, is Adorable!! Oh my goodness, do they make the cutest couple. 🥰
**You guys should have her on again for a “Hairstyles w/o Instructions”! Especially since Link is a closet hair dresser. 😂 -Kinda like the one way back in the day that Lizzy ‘hosted’. 💇🏻♀️
LMAO Link slapping the turkey onto the floor was perfect.
They had it.
I was screaming at the screen during the German part! Some of the words were so obvious 😂 Love these two tho!
I was screaming at the screen at the pronunciation more than what R&L were doing 😅
I was impressed by the french section but the way they were saying "Dinde" wasn’t incorrect 😅, other than that I’m really impressed by the language speaking! This was a super fun video
Too northern for my liking lmao
I kept screaming DINDE at the screen lol definitely not “donda”
Wasn't incorrect means it was correct ( double negative ). Which it definitely wasn't lol
I really love these episodes! It is so fun to watch Rhett and Link work their way through the other languages to reach their answer, and I feel like I learn a little bit along the way too! 🥰
