A macabre tale of terror based on the pulp horror-fiction of H.P Lovecraft and directed by genre legend Stuart Gordon, From Beyond follows the obsessed Dr. Pretorious (Ted Sorel, Basket Case 2) and Crawford Tillinghast (Jeffrey Combs, Re-Animator) who have developed The Resonator, an extraordinary invention which allows individuals to see beyond normal perceptible reality - into the darkness of the otherwise unknown. But the rare vision is also a two-way window to the soul, unleashing all manner of evil creatures and enabling individuals to indulge their most sinister desires and depraved fantasies. A cult classic of menacing design and blood-curdling execution, From Beyond is a perverse head-trip of horror.
Easily one of the most fun, captivating and completely re-watchable 80's horror flicks that I've ever had the absolute pleasure of viewing when I was kid! I'll never forget this one (or it's cousin, Re-Animator...) These were by far, two of the most "out-there", "balls-to-the-wall" 90 minutes of pure ridiculous fun I've ever had! Thank you!! This amazing shit would never fly these days...no one would go see it! The 80's were the absolute BEST TIME for thoughtful and completely
There’s something about the 80’s special effects they used in movies that hits way better than the cgi they use today…
Yup true.
This is why I like 80's horror movies a lot because they look real which makes them scarier. And I'm actually a 90's fan.
Same here
Although a good mix of practical effects and CGI could be nice. A good example is the dark crystal TV show and Jurassic Park the original one.
Same.
Practical effects > cgi
Thank God for TUBI, where 80’s Horror Movies are Revive.
Jeffrey Combs never disappoints, from his 80's horror movies to the guest appearence in the great CSI: Vegas episode "Jackpot", he is a real asset for everything he is in!
One of my all-time favorite 80's Horror movies. It might even be one of my top 3 favorite Stuart Gordon movies...and that's saying a lot, because he is really quite brilliant in my opinion and one of the Horror movie masters of the late 80's to early 90's (in the USA...)
Two scientists discover another dimension that can only be seen with the pineal gland. However this dimension is full of bizarre & deadly creatures.
I'm getting this on 4k and blu ray this week and I can't wait
This is an excellent 80's cult horror movie!
the slime and tentacles and fleshy effects of the 80s... even with The Thing 82. you can't beat it. not in a billion years!
You had me at from the makers of Reanimator.
This was so friggin fun, love this movie
the vhs box art freaked me out as a kid
Me too!!! I just told my wife that the other day, lol 😂
Weird change
So Crawford is Pretorious in the movie
and Crawford's friend is Crawford in the movie
I know realize that "Humans are such easy preys" by Perturbator comes from this movie.
THE MACHINE IS RUNNING ITSELF!
Why did they glue a Ford logo on the front of the Chevy van?
Reanimater and it's follow ups were hilarious. I still think of the man in the straight jacket banging his head against the windows saying, Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?....... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dr Pretorius, from The Bride Of Frankenstein with a King and a Ballerina in huge jars.....
Wow, what a blast! I loved it!
My boyfriend I'd trying to make me watch this tonight it's 2023 please pray for me
Good luck, haha!
Absolutely amazing
folks this is based off of 1920's era horror... 1920s!!!!! lol
Crazy right.. I watched the color out of space the other night and was saying the story was write 100 odd years ago.. the mind boggles
Ive watched the Color Out of Space too and after that search the net for next Horror movies and suddenly RUclips recommended this movie so Ive search the trailer. I remember this one well long time, 10 years ago.
based on a novel ,Beyond, wrote by Lovecraft....
Whenever you are is really not much different from any other time one finds themselves in space. It's all relative.
This is not just some "1920's horror"... It's based on works of H.P. Lovecraft - one of the greatest writers in the history of mankind...
"Something's... COMING!!!"
Με λίγα λόγια καταπληκτική ταινία μπροστά από την εποχή της............!!!!!
I'll be sure to watch that movie someday.
Does anyone remember a dance track from the 90’s that sampled the beginning but with Crawford and Edward and the lady phoning the police then the windows smashing and then a fat beat kicking in, I can’t find it anywhere??
Please help
There's a comment saying hyper on experience sample this film on a few track's might be them
Good stuff

I'm looking for the name of a dance track that had the beginning of the film on it, something's coming/i'm disturbed scene but can't find it anywhere, as anybody got any ideas? anybody
the whole trailer that spoiled the whole film and deaths!
Nothing beats a good old 80s crap.
Increíble pelicula de lo mejor mas que de terror parece de ciencia ficción o ambas muy recomendable
It’s running ITSELF ..!
I was about to say "WHAT is Milton Dammers doing in this movie??" , until the narrator mentioned this was made by the same crew of Re Animator lol!
Free on Tubi
See the thing all these movies from the 80's had in their favour is they relied on imagination and creativity. Today it's just cheap lazy jump "scares". A startle response is not a scare, and having the soundtrack go quiet quiet loud doensn't make the director the next John Carpenter.
Man...Re-Animator is a stone cold classic... and this... isn't. It has almost all of the talent behind Re-Animator too...wtf?
Did you watch it
@zachmcclintock2041 I did... not a fan.

Is it any good?
Yes!!!
When trailer didn't contain spoilers
I can't believe they haven't remake this awesome movie .. they should without adding anything . just improve graphics ..
Remakes suck!
@@Mojavegreen so does CGI. these practical effects are awesome "graphics"
@@jwilli726 absolutely. Old school practical effects will always be superior to modern CGI.
Why mess with a masterpiece? That’s like me waking into a museum with a paint brush and saying let me touch up the Mona Lisa
Umbrella entertainment? Like umbrella Corp!😅
Poorly edited trailer.
Regardless of contemplations of contemporary.
muito bom
gostei
Non mi è piaciuta questa pellicola, troppo disgustosa.
