Happy New Year, on Thursday January 4th from Lake Mary Orlando Florida, dig your channel and reactions.
Keyboardist Jason Robar (spelling) had been with Jeff along time.
Check out Jeff’s “Guitar Shop” album and especially his LIVE performance on Arsino Hall with drummer Terry Bozzio and keyboardist/key bass Tony Hamas.
As for Tal her first gig was actually at 17 years old and not (yet) with Jeff Beck but none other than Miles Davis alumni Herbie Hancock!

Tal got a break with Chick Corea, RIP, and has played with H. Hancock, John Scofield, of course Jeff, and many others.

Jason Rebello is the keyboard player. If you don't know it, see Jeff and this band 'Performing This Week at Ronnie Scott's'. It. Is. Awesome. Period.

The keyboard and the drummer were established musicians, Tal on bass is another story. She had been playing bass for a couple of years and this was her 1st performance on the BIG Stage at the age of 21. Jeff couldn't get the bass player he wanted for this 2007 concert. I believe it was the drummer who told Jeff that he had the one for him. When she came knocking on his door, Jeff thought it was a joke. He thought that she must be his girlfriend. But within an hour Jeff was starting to compare her to the legendary Bass player Jaco Pastorius. Jeff became her mentor and treated like a daughter so much so that everyone thought that she was his daughter. And you can see it in their interactions. She has said that he was always joking around and you can see that too. Other songs where you them see them together including the drummer and keyboard player.- Anything from this 2007 concert and from the 2009 Ronnie Scott's concert. (Brush With The Blues) - (Nadia) - (Stratus) - (Cause We've Ended As Lovers) - (Jeff's Bolero) - (A Day In A Life) just to name a few.
HOWEVER before that. - when Jeff had an amp problem on stage Tal motioned for him to come over while she was playing a solo. It became a thing. RUclips - (Jeff Beck, Freeway Jam + Blue Wind, Live in Japan 2009 Feb. 21) It is just a snippet of - Freeway Jam - at the end of the bass solo but well worth it.

Well the almighty algorithm brought you to me twice- both times with magnificent Jeff Beck live joints. The universe must be trying to tell me something... I'm in (sub'd), Greetings from Canada. Top right, the algorithm brings you again with Joe Cocker- so I KNOW you're gonna love (will have loved?) it. Peace, love and bellbottoms.

    Great reaction.
Jeff Beck was as great as ever. However, I think this ensemble is always just as joyful to watch. The enthusiasm and joy of the young musician (= Tal Wilkenfeld) is so contagious that it is reflected in Jeff's playing.
Jeff was downright a father figure to Tal. For examble when Tal played the solo Cause we've ended as lovers, Jeff was visibly happy and proud.

Jason Rebello was really a piano player but Jeff B needed a keyboard player and so Jason R took up keyboards and picked it up really quickly

I saw Jeff Beck in concert in 2018 in Irvine, Ca. Vinnie was the drummer (phenomenal) but some other lady was on bass. Jeff was a true guitar god and sorely missed.

To me, Vinnie Colaiuta is a great MUSICIAN who happens to play the hell out of the drums. His technique-unreal? Yes, but his groove and phrasing is what separates the men from the children. Vinnie knows what he’s doing-and always will.

Nice. I like the Live at Ronnie Scott’s version better. Its smoother. Big Block is one of his faves.

This is a magnificent performance of Classic Beck... Probably one of the best on video anywhere of the song Big Block.
The keyboard player is Jason Rabello is an outstanding jazz keyboardist who's done solo albums as well as collaborations. Jason doesn't have much to do on this particular song but he was a valuable player in many of Beck's bands over the latter part of his career.
