Sri Lanka is a beautiful place. Trains, roads and everything is a lot cleaner that what we have here in India. We Indians can learn some lessons from them. Great place for tourists. Want to visit it someday.

I can imagine having real good tea in Sri Lanka in such a beautiful cup ! The surroundings simply stunning, green everywhere wow!! Relaxing trip I guess, guys !
Really missed out on Ella! We only did Colombo to Kandy train ride which was still really beautiful! Your videos are making us want to go back to Sri Lanka and do a re-take!
@@nasreen811 Hello! You don't need to buy them online. We found the online tickets were the "tourist trains" and hence a bit more money. All we did was go to the station same day and got the tickets, and we purchased 2nd class tickets. The staff also asked us if we wanted tourist or local trains, and of course we picked local. Unfortunately, we only went from Colombo to Kandy, so I can't tell you the last station. Hope this helps you!
I loved Sri Lanka, the best bits of India and Thailand mixed together. I dive and studied archaeology so was in heaven 😁 I hope you get to go to the inland sea south of columbo and also experience the coast road from columbo down to galle, breath taking and the sea is like a hot bath!!
The culture of India and Thailand were created by Sri Lankans before made of sigiriya , like before 5000years. That's why you can see the same arts as sigiriya in India ajantha bithu sithuwam(arts ). Big history 🙂
Nice Video Guys. The Train does not go to Nuwara Eliya but it passes Nanu Oya where you need to get down and get another mode of transportation to Visit Nuwara Eliya. Back in the days there was a Railway track from Nanu Oya to Udu pusselawa via Nuwara Eliya using a Narrow Gauge Railway line. It was closed around the 1940s as the Road Transportation was developed. Tea was introduced by a James Taylor who was a Scotsman in 1867 and it was pioneered by Thomas Lipton.
Excellent indeed!! Sri Lanka is blessed with extra ordinary beautiful landscape. The people of Sri Lanka are hospitable, peace-loving & caring such that we see the world through their eyes ---- they are eye-donors. They have preserved their railway heritage. Many thanks for sharing your superb experiences in Sri Lanka. Please keep it up.
Very immersive video dude!!! I have wanted to visit this wonder island for damning long time...Though most of my friends underestimate this worth visiting country lol😂😂😂
I wish we could have saw the process in the factory of how they turn it into tea. It really makes you think about about all what the workers have to ho through for us to have sweet tea in the South. Wow.😓
So interesting! Thanks guys. I couldn’t even imagine how much work there is behind every single cup of tea. And in our daily life we didn’t give any attention to this at all...
Wonderful experience. So happy that you guys enjoyed this journey. I am a srilankan living in Australia and big rail fan and last time I took this journey was in 1995 when this scenic route was not so popular. Few important points. There are 4 trains from Colombo to Badulla operating in this scenic route. The one you took is known as Podi manike which starts its journey from Colombo at 5:55 am. The next train to start from Colombo is Denuwara manike at 6:35am which is an intercity train with fewer stops. Next train to Badulla is Udarata manike departing Colombo at 8:30 am. Last daytime train to Badulla leaves Colombo at 9:45 am. All these 4 trains consists of 1st, 2nd and 3rd class compartments. First 3 trains are newer push pull type power sets where as the last one is a locomotive driven one. Fastest and most convenient way to reach Badulla is using Denuwara manike intercity express where prices of similar class tickets are slightly higher. It doesn’t go via Kandy as Podi manike or udarata manike and stops at the 3rd platform in peradeniya junction. It’s away from the main station so you need to be aware of that. The last train no 1008 has an observation saloon car at the end of the train which is famous for its Panoramic views.
Alex you were amazing picking those tea leaves,🤣 after Carrie asked how do I know...you threw it "somewhere"! By the way, you 3 are more than wonderful and great!😍
Love your interest to know so much about the countries you visit! Learnt so much about Sri Lanka. Thank you! Also I will definitely appreciate more the effort that goes into making tea!

Those trains are amazing. So beautiful and so enjoyable. Though we recently saw a guy fall off the train as we were going across a bridge. He fortunately Landes on the bridge and is ok. But it was quite scary at first.
The train ride looks great! you can see alll the nature, but doesn´t look so segure haha. So is interesting how the pick the tee :) i am loving the Sri Lanka serie :)
