Yes, humans can be horrid, but imagine if you will, a creature older than dirt. That is quite literal, one who is well aware of every horror, past or present, one who no doubt knows your worst fear and one with powers that are well beyond human reality. One who wishes, and is designed to do nothing but make you suffer, in whatever way or ways, for all the rest of eternity, with no death, no escape, no relief, no mercy. Now imagine crawling into bed with several of those...and never ever being able to get out again.
E Kramer I never argued it wouldn't be horrible for me. But nothing is beyond human enjoyment, or at least human nihilism. Imagine a Buddhist monk in the tukdam*, a meditative state where they go days if not weeks without doing anything to include eat and drink. Some even die in that state due to inaction. These horrors wouldn't affect them in the least as they'd just mentally remove themselves from reality. Or if the person was mentally insane and not privy to the reality in which they actually resided (which I might argue would be a likely scenario for most who undergo indefinite torture). Think the hedonic treadmill except for pain. Not to mention a Stockholm syndrome, even tortured peoples have been known to start to sympathize with their captors or at least become content. The human psyche has many defenses for horrible things. Probably because we evolved in terrible scenarios so those who could mentally cope passed on their mental stability and adaptive nature (I know insanity doesn't sound like a benefit but the ability to deny part of reality can often be incredibly helpful).

People think of lust when the word depravity is mentioned. And I don't see how jealousy is a mix of other sins.

Question is which of these is worse?
MetaKnight964 Depravity can imply the absence of many virtues in the heart of a human being. Love and affection is a major thing to not do without, whether or not it condones sex, hence the assumption of Lust being the common link.
However, other virtues like Faith, Trust, and Knowledge equally qualify for this missing gap. So if we risked losing one virtue, then we risk losing the rest. Therefore, Depravity is incurred.
Hardest rooms will probably be Sloth and especially Lust. I can easily see the lust room getting a lot of people.
