One of the greatest Michigan players of all time. He stuck through the darkest years in Michigan's history. No matter what, he will always be considered a great Michigan football player, but I will always think of him as a better man. Go Blue!
While his passing ability was never top notch, he will always be one of my favorite Michigan QBs just because how exciting he is and how amazing his attitude is. I would love to have a conversation with him and tell him thank you for being a true gentlemen of the game.
He beat Ohio (They get a capital because no one else can beat them it seems). That counts a ton in my book. My brother met him in the dorms and tried to have him sign his to go box. Denard was a class act the entire time.
been a michigan fan my whole life living in ohio has been tough these were the darkest years but god even when they were awful i screamed my lungs out watching him play truly that little light of hope to watch during these days with the program! thank you denard!
I'm not a Michigan can, but wow I respect this guy so much! one of the best to ever play college football. He will be miss, I hope he had an amazing NFL career. He deserves it!
I held my breath each time he threw the ball, but the dude was pretty damn good. If he had a defense with him, he could've brought home at least one natty.
A shining beacon during a dark age in Michigan football. Although not a traditional Michigan quarterback, what other Michigan quarterback in history could make a contribution to his team with a defunct throwing arm? His attitude and Michigan spirit will truly be missed. Thank you for choosing Michigan Denard.
One of the best to ever wear the maize and blue! Loved watching him every week because if he got into the secondary, nobody could catch him, just wish it would have worked out for him in the NFL! A true class act!
I'm so happy I got to see 3 years of him in person as a student at Michigan. Such a great player. I hope he finds success in the NFL. He really helped his draft stock against Scar today
I could watch this all day, I got to meet Denard in the locker room after my first Michigan Game. I’ve idolized him since I was playing youth sports as an athlete and still to this day as the great human he is. Amazing guy. 〽️ Go Blue!
Man I could watch this all day! We may never see another player like Denard Robinson ever again. He was so exciting to watch! Hope he does well here in jacksonville
Thank you Denard for everything you have fine here at UM. Wasn't the greatest QB, but his will to win, work ethic, the person and teammate he was and that he helped put UM football back in the map, and of course his 4.3 speed/ play making ability will be what he is remembered for. What he does in the future whether it is the NFL or not, best of luck. Thank you for everything and you are a true Michigan Man!
that Michigan - Notre Dame game from 2011 was one of the best college football games I've witnessed. Shoelace was just throwing them up and the receivers were out jumping the d backs. lead changed like 3 times in the last minute and a half.
Wow, mkes me sad seeing this, i loved this kid, he loved the game, the school, and his teamates, his time went by way to quick, and i wished he wouldnt have gotten hurt in his senior year, i wish him the best and thanks for the upload
He literally could score on any play, anywhere on the field, at any time. It seemed as if he was only one missed tackle away from breaking it every time he ran the ball.
Being a young kid in Ann Arbor during his prime years, his impact was amazing. When we played football in the yard people would kick off their shoes when going on runs. People admired him and he made the dark ages something that was fun to watch.
This was around when I started watching football. While we didn't win many games, I'm not gonna lie, this offense was so much fun to watch. I miss turning on the TV each Saturday waiting to see what heisman moments Denard would have next. It was what we all had to look forward to during the recession in Flint, where there was not much else to do. Watching football now, I realize that there are very few that can do what Shoelace did. I was lucky to be able to watch him for 4 years, and he actually had a great career if you think about it. He beat Michigan State, Ohio State (scoring 5 TDs), Notre Dame (coming back from 17) won a BCS Bowl, and set all kinds of records. Great player and great person to represent U of M, guys like him don't come every year.
I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see Denard in person -- at one of his better games, no less (2011 vs. nebraska). I wouldn't trade having him as the face of the team, interceptions and all, for anything.
i go to the high school he went to and i play football for the team he played for so to see him make it from a small town like mine that just give me hope
Love Denard, wish he hadn't thrown so many interceptions during his time but brilliant rushing quarterback, made for some of the most entertaining games ever.
He wasn’t appreciated enough during his time with Michigan. Unfortunately due to that era with the coaches. We do love you Shoelace, excited to have you back in Michigan.
Michigan will probably never see a player like this again. One of the most exciting players in the history of the entire game. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they gave a legend patch on that #16 jersey in the next couple years. Go Blue!
ME TO BUT IM GONNA LOVE SEEING HIM LIVE AT EVERBANK STADIUM IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA AS A JAGUAR.....Go blue and Jags a dream come true for this pick...
An exciting player he was, there were a lot great moments he gave Michigan but 2 come to my mind. 1.When he got his first win over OSU. 2The night game vs Notre Dame,he gave it his all that night.
He almost went to UCF, could you imagine him against Conference USA defenses? Not to mention it woulda changed the hell out of the college football world
His arm wasn’t great - but he had tremendous faith in his receivers. Just throw it up and let them make plays - and they often did. On short yardage plays, he was a sure thing. You couldn’t stop him on 3rd and 2 or less. Always fun to watch - never go pee when we had the ball.
We fondly remember all of our quarterbacks who beat Ohio State. But DR was special player who broke several Michigan and Big Ten records at his position.
Idk why, but watching these highlights he looks like Superman, but during those seasons I remember feeling frustration while watching he games. Now I’m trying to figure out why.
Because a lot of those were losses. The defense struggled. And the offensive gameplan was Denard. If we had even more of an O-line, had other strong running options, and had a defense that was capable of multiple stops that Michigan team could have won a few championships.
I will never ever forget Denard Robinson THE BEST QUARTERBACK TO BEAT! THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES! JUST LIKE TOM BRADY! DENARD ROBINSON IS MY GREATEST QUARTERBACK OF ALL TIME! GOAT GREATEST OF ALL TIME DENARD ROBINSON!
Robinson was the most exciting QB In Michigan History and I just loved watching him Play. ND will never and I mean never see another guy like this; Or I think they hope not. 28 seconds to go and good by ND, you lose.... Go Blue...
I thought his sophomore season, his very first season starting, he had a pretty good arm. He could make just about any throw you'd need him too,it was just the decision making that killed him as a QB. He'd toss up too many jump balls, and once in a while throw an interception that left you pullling your hair out asking yourself, who was that too? Great player though, no doubt about it. We needed a playmaker on this team, and he brought exactly that. In the NFL just let this kid get the ball
We would of beat Ohio St. If he didn't get hurt in the second half. He had 120 yds. Rushing just in the first half. Once he got hurt we lost our running game.
Fastest bet I ever won was on Denard in the Air Force game, betting he would score a TD on the next series. He went almost 80 yards and scored on the next play.
That's what I figured he would do, play a bit of RB. Teams that run the ball, who need a change of pace are good bets for him, he's a wildcard in an offense. He'll add another dimension.
One of the greatest Michigan players of all time. He stuck through the darkest years in Michigan's history. No matter what, he will always be considered a great Michigan football player, but I will always think of him as a better man. Go Blue!
He kept UM relevant during some tough years. Could use his heart on the 2017 offense.
@Mark Dudley that’s pretty fucking funny. I see no relevancy on the field for that shit show
@@WeShowYou Mizzou has never been relevant, so...
One of the greatest to ever wear a Michigan uniform. He was so much fun to watch.
Agreed. Sadly the coaching just wasn't there for him or Gardner (or Morris or....)
While his passing ability was never top notch, he will always be one of my favorite Michigan QBs just because how exciting he is and how amazing his attitude is. I would love to have a conversation with him and tell him thank you for being a true gentlemen of the game.
Hell he won the damn games, so who cares...
Was just thinking the exact same thing while watching this.
He beat Ohio (They get a capital because no one else can beat them it seems). That counts a ton in my book. My brother met him in the dorms and tried to have him sign his to go box. Denard was a class act the entire time.
I actually think his passing ability was underrated he could definitely throw look at his 2010 highlights
that NotreDame UofM game was one of the greatest games I have ever seen 28 points in the fourth for the comeback win
God I miss him. He was an incredible athlete. I had almost forgotten how fast this guy was, seriously unreal. Go Blue!
He seemed a lot faster than a 4.3 40..
Robinson to Hemingway pure fucking gold 💙💛💙
@@bobbyj5634 that's accel...
been a michigan fan my whole life living in ohio has been tough these were the darkest years but god even when they were awful i screamed my lungs out watching him play truly that little light of hope to watch during these days with the program! thank you denard!
i love this channel, you really capture the magnitude of the moment by not adding music.
Yes he does!!!
Denard Robinson was omnipotent
Certainly a legend, even by Michigan standards. Michigan will really miss him next year.
Just for what he did to keep our program alive at the lowest point in history should earn everyones respect!!!!!! THANK YOU DENARD
Chaz Hering amen bro
I'm not a Michigan can, but wow I respect this guy so much! one of the best to ever play college football. He will be miss, I hope he had an amazing NFL career. He deserves it!

Was so amazing and I miss him already. Always will be one of my favorite wolverines
I'm so happy I got to see 3 years of him in person as a student at Michigan. Such a great player. I hope he finds success in the NFL. He really helped his draft stock against Scar today
I was there to witness his first play at Michigan. Awesome.
Really, wow, lucky
I could watch this all day, I got to meet Denard in the locker room after my first Michigan Game. I’ve idolized him since I was playing youth sports as an athlete and still to this day as the great human he is. Amazing guy. 〽️ Go Blue!
Can we take a minute to appreciate the team? Roundtree Robinson, Hemingway, etc? Just phenomenal.
Man I could watch this all day! We may never see another player like Denard Robinson ever again. He was so exciting to watch! Hope he does well here in jacksonville
This man defined my childhood.
Most exciting in all time!!
As much as I complained about his inconsistency, I'm going to miss him. He was a human highlight machine. Go Blue Denard!
Thank you Denard for everything you have fine here at UM. I still remember that first snap he took. I went from screaming in agony to joy in a matter of seconds.
you could love and hate him but I respect everything he did for the program...great tribute video

I cried a little....
Good luck, Shoelace!
Denard will be missed!
Imagine having Denard this year with Jabrill Peppers
Riavial omg 😩
i agree
Jarrell pepper was operated, had a one great year offensive, he cool off
One of the most exciting players I have ever watched.
He literally could score on any play, anywhere on the field, at any time. It seemed as if he was only one missed tackle away from breaking it every time he ran the ball.
You can say what you want to about Rich Rod, but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have Denard...
Being a young kid in Ann Arbor during his prime years, his impact was amazing. When we played football in the yard people would kick off their shoes when going on runs. People admired him and he made the dark ages something that was fun to watch.
Salute to this brother right here. Simply amazing.
Go Blue
If it weren’t for this guy Michigan would’ve lost so many more games. Great player with a great head on his shoulders
Denard Robinson was the original Lamar Jackson ...people forget Robinson was just as exciting to watch like Reggie Bush too
Such a fantastic player during a challenging time. He almost single handedly kept us competitive. Hail #16
THANK YOU DENARD!! A True MICHIGAN MAN!!!!!

Damn he was so exciting to watch.

Loved the reminders how special Denard was for Blue...and appreciate the insightful comments just as much! GO BLUE!!! JC
He wasn’t appreciated enough during his time with Michigan. Unfortunately due to that era with the coaches. We do love you Shoelace, excited to have you back in Michigan.
I remember everyone complaining about his arm. Denard Robinson is in my top 7 favorite Michigan players of all time. If only everyone had his heart.
happy to say i had the opportunity to see his first and last start in the Big House
Michigan will probably never see a player like this again. One of the most exciting players in the history of the entire game. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they gave a legend patch on that #16 jersey in the next couple years. Go Blue!
Thanks for all the memories Denard!!! Give defensive coordinators hell in the league! GO BLUE!!!!
ME TO BUT IM GONNA LOVE SEEING HIM LIVE AT EVERBANK STADIUM IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA AS A JAGUAR.....Go blue and Jags a dream come true for this pick...
Denard was amazing!! Ohio state never had a qb with moves like this
An exciting player he was, there were a lot great moments he gave Michigan but 2 come to my mind.
1.When he got his first win over OSU.
2The night game vs Notre Dame,he gave it his all that night.
Great Vid. Some great moments I'll remember forever.
the nine different dislikes must be Ohio state fans...
Funny thing is I have respect for these players no matter what even though I like osu
Denard was terribly misused by the coaching staff. One of the greatest college runners to ever play.
He almost went to UCF, could you imagine him against Conference USA defenses? Not to mention it woulda changed the hell out of the college football world
UCF would've been briefly beyong legit lmao.
Man he was fearless and tough as nails
His arm wasn’t great - but he had tremendous faith in his receivers. Just throw it up and let them make plays - and they often did. On short yardage plays, he was a sure thing. You couldn’t stop him on 3rd and 2 or less. Always fun to watch - never go pee when we had the ball.
So many highlights
If Robinson would have seriously developed his passing game he could have won multiple Heisman trophies.
I will miss seeing Denard in the maize and blue.. But most definitely lookin forward to seeing what Gardner will do next year!
Robinson's arm strength is grossly under rated..
Poetry in motion
FIRST TEAM ALL AMERICAN Sophomore year ; deserves immediate induction into College Football Hall of Fame.
We were blessed to have denard
He was one of the most exciting players to ever wear the winged helmet.
Love to see Michigan get it going again. That conference needs it.
I'm gonna miss watching him play for michigan
We fondly remember all of our quarterbacks who beat Ohio State.
But DR was special player who broke several Michigan and Big Ten records at his position.
That's the design of space agate it can use any ID it shows it can make anything it shows under the technology
Imagine having Denard any year.

Thank god for videos without horrible music laid over it
Best Runner 🏃♂️ in Football. 😁💙💛
Feels weird. It's just hitting me that I'll never see him in the winged helmet again
He's gonna end up being the jags starting qb, watch
I wish
Where did you get the footage for the 2012 games?
I will never ever forget Denard Robinson THE BEST QUARTERBACK TO BEAT! THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES! JUST LIKE TOM BRADY! DENARD ROBINSON IS MY GREATEST QUARTERBACK OF ALL TIME! GOAT GREATEST OF ALL TIME DENARD ROBINSON!

how fast does time fly?
Where do you guys think he ranks among the best quarterbacks in Michigan history? I especially want @WolverineHistorians take
i dont' know his story or what position he is gonna be but the man has huge talent. top 15 pick
He is a big time show THE NFL BETTER GET READY
We would of beat Ohio St. If he didn't get hurt in the second half. He had 120 yds. Rushing just in the first half. Once he got hurt we lost our running game.
No OSU run? Or did I just miss it?
Go Blue! Thanks Denard!
...great video...thanks!
Fastest bet I ever won was on Denard in the Air Force game, betting he would score a TD on the next series. He went almost 80 yards and scored on the next play.
Also some XFL teams should look at him. He is only 7 years out of college. He could be so exciting in that league
Could also make a Jordan Kovacs video, I think he deserves one just as much as Denard.
Second best qb we ever had
That's what I figured he would do, play a bit of RB. Teams that run the ball, who need a change of pace are good bets for him, he's a wildcard in an offense. He'll add another dimension.
The screeching on the chalkboard when that broad announced games.....
Whatever happened to Fourcier?
number one at running the football:)
I believe he won a track meet also agsinst osu in the 60 meter dash
