Girls Generation, like you said can be called a movement. Paved the way for girl groups when boy groups dominated and overall paved the way for Hallyu ( being known internationally) groups. The song Gee, I believe everyone knows in kpop and the colored jeans were so popular then

@@AlpacalypseProductions fyi at 5th sept they will have debut stage with 5 members..because there are 3 members leaved again..but we SONE (snsd's fans) still love them and we still believe they will have comeback someday with full members 😊

@@AlpacalypseProductions for this case..I think their company didnt treat them very well despite being the most money maker for almost 9 years..so 3 of them didnt renew their contract..but in real life 8 members still support each other..as u can see for debut of 5 members, the 3 girls post something at IG for support them...sorry for explaining so long ✌
they left SM but they didn't leave SNSD , the 3 members are still in GIRLS GENERATION SM already confirmed it and the members themselves .after "TTS" sub-unit this comeback is a new SNSD sub-unit "OH ! GG " with 5 members .next year we will have a comeback of the group as whole OT8. please support this sub-unit debut

I remember when I got into Kpop at the start of 2009 Gee had recently come out and was big at the time. I moved to a city that had Arirang TV and with nothing else on in the middle of the day started watching Kdramas and pops in Seoul. Makes me so nastalgic. I remember Gee coming on and I thought it was weird and it felt so different at first but it was catchy and the members were so cute. I also remember the first song I was really into and would play was alone by outsider. Other groups I remember liking from those early days were Wonder Girls, super junior and a little later 2NE1 and my favourite Big Bang. Over the years Kpop came to be the music I listen to the most. If anyone reading this is into kdramas my first was a rerun on Princess hours (gong) I was hooked on it and I’m still hooked on Kdramas today.

Fun Fact: Gee is the First Korean Music Video who got 100m views in RUclips in that time and Asia’s got crazy. That’s they were crowned by korean gov as their National Girl Group.

Super junior was there before girls generation, maybe you could react to them too since you played that videos with them in it in the beginning. Tvxq is also a group that helped the second and the third generation of kpop. The groups of the first generation paved the way for the groups of the second generation though let’s not forgot about our 90’s groups such as sechkies h.o.t, S.E.S and shinhwa.
After viewing Gee a few times I have concluded that Sunny is without doubt the Michael Jordan of Aegyo.

I always preferred SNSD, but that didn't mean I didn't listen to and enjoy 2NE1. SNSD always supported all the girl groups, sometimes without much return support.

The easiest way to say it is SNSD is LEGEND
When its an SM Entertainment group, don't even both looking for English Subs on the official MVs because SM is known for not subbing its content. What you were reading were computer generated subs so the computer was trying to make sense of the Korean words by making them the closest it could find to what the word sounded like in English (They were not saying Daddy, daddy. LOL). So that's why it got the English words right but none of the other words. LOL If you want to know what the lyrics are saying you have to look up an English lyrics video for the song. All Kpop songs have English lyric videos that have been translated by fans for international viewers.
Well shit we were skeptical when it glitched out into dollar signs and & signs lol it's amazing to see a community dedicated to subbing the mv's because they were like... These generated ones are so god awful.. WE GOT THIS! -G
