The song is sung from the perspective of irresponsible people who are too lazy or stupid to use condoms but have an abortion. The video shows very clearly that Till wants to save the children from their parents here. But many go into the light. He then punishes such a mother with a head shot and takes one of the babies with him. The song is not against abortion, but against this kind of people who knowingly accept it instead of not letting it get that far in the first place.

I never comment but I think this is one of the best reactions to this song. Lindemann and most of these type of songs of the genre are meant to impact and create a shock reaction. And honestly this is the first person in having this. Is crazy how most of the people is shocked someone is shocked by these type of things. I mean how we normalize all Lindemann Skills and Pills is the real shocking thing. If To see a pig lady breastfeeding piglets while praising abortion isn't weird or uncomfortable for us maybe we are the one that need to check our limits. I saw comments saying that we see worse. Man. That shouldn't be a norm.

Too me that songs lyrics is more about a guy in his mid-life-crisis - full of self-hatred, self-pitty, envy and regrets. When he sais "praise abort" that is rather an expression of all those feelings.

I feel the purpose of the song is that if a man acts like a pig, he'll get piglets. And if the pig doesn't want the piglets, and he doesn't care to learn some self-control, he has to live with the consequences and often not alone.

It is about the fact that having children is expensive and he regrets not being able to achieve his own life goals and desires.
The message could also be that it is better to use contraception during sex than to have an abortion later or not to be able to have an abortion.
yes I agree with your analogy - funny thing is, today if you ask 17-25 year old girls about this world MANY MANY of them now say - I will have no kids, I cant even afford to live myself, why would I make it worse by bringing children in I wont be able to give enough to them for?

I don't think this is true. He's always spoken well of his kids, supported his daughter in her work etc etc. It's not his personal opinion of his own kids, he's portraying a pig man who neither wants to take responsibility (use condoms) nor deal with the consequences (pregnancy)

Personally, I don’t try to analyse Til and Rammstein’s songs too much.
I just enjoy them. When they’re funny and shocking, it always makes me laugh. I just take them at face value and enjoy the dark humour.
The world is full of horrors and it is art’s job to hold a mirror up to it.

Till and Rammstein actually give a f*ck very much. That is why they are talking about all those tabu and controversial topics in their songs, showing how important it is to talk about all of them openly in society no matter what we or others think about them. Also some truly "heavier" topics are obviously moved to his solo project since for something as big as Rammstein those might be a little too much to handle. Or in other words, you probably could not do a world tour with such a setlist without being canceled or forbiden in bunch of countries. Still kudos to them for talking about stuff prudish people are scared to even think of.

It's about am man Till knows and who has seven kids. But there is so much more going on...I don't even know what's going on, but I think he is putting out there to use more kondoms (French letter), he is critizising the food industry and society in general with all the discussions about abortions, contraception methods, religion interfering and so on. Till once said that it is not him who is fucked up, society is fucked up and he only writes and sings about it.
