They're having so much fun recording this, you can hear them laughing in the background after Plant sings: "...and I have birds that siiiiiiing" the second time.
What I love about this song, you hear each individual showcased, not to mention Plant playing the harmonica. He’s amazing on the harmonica, & he only plays it in a couple songs. Love the blues feel, these guys always do the blues with soulful passion, but they love the blues. Plants amazing vocals, always perfect for any song genre they do. All four are the GOATS of their craft, together the GODS of music.
It was the electric guitar at the end, that was doing call and response with Robert Plant's vocals. Page and Plant did that a lot, and Page and Bonham (the drummer) played off of one another all the time also--possibly the most connected electric guitar and bass player ever to play together (imo). They just fed off one another... you've probably figured this out by now since you've listened to a few of their albums already by the time I got to this. Glad to see you're enjoying them!! Dazed and Confused next.... that should be fun. LOL
I was born April 1954. The same month/year as Rock N Roll. I grew up with the Greatest Music In History. “The Beatles” Changed everything forever. The 60s set the table for the 70s and the early 80s and we all thrived on the best bands ever making incredible music, before it all started to go Digital with forms of noise I refuse to call music. In the past when I heard a song on the radio I couldn’t wait to hear it again ASAP….. Today when I listen to the top 40 stations I usually think… I never want to hear that crap ever again. Things have changed a lot since the 60s.
A Solo on Hammond B3 Organ by John Paul Jones, then a Harmonica solo by Robert Plant, then Guitar solo by Jimmy Page while the entire song is a Drum Solo by John "Bonzo" Bonham.... nuf said.
Hi, I have just discovered you with your Beatle reaction. I am so happy you are discovering real music. I am 72 years old and have seen some great concerts in my years, and if you continue on this road you will find that the 60's and 70's were absolutely the greatest time for music. I enjoy that you do not interrupt the song. You are moving through Queen and Led Zepplin which is great but you really need to move around a bit. Some suggestions; Jethro Tull, Yes, David Bowie, Elton John, Heart, Alice Cooper and of course The Beatles.
Hey cutie Darlene here from Anniston Alabama. I was the one that welcomed u several day's but POINT OF THIS 😂 SINCE YOU ARE DOING LED ZEPPELIN. THAT WAS MY GENERATION , I'M 60. BUT PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO RAMBLE ON ,AND THE LIVE SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU. AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN 70'S CAN'T REMEMBER EXACTLY RIGHT YEAR. BUT PLEASE AND WATCH JIMMY LED 🎸 CLOSE OK WHEN HE LEAN'S BACK. ITS AWSOME. 💘 YOUR REACTION'S & WELCOME AGAIN ❤️🤍❤️🤍 ROLL TIDE !! ☺️
That was Page on guitar. He played both lead and rhythm guitar, no easy feat to do smoothly, but Page is a master. Yeah, harmonica in rock music as played by vocalist Robert Plant. Rock music doesn't have just one sound. Well, there are a lot of bands out there that have just one sound, but that's not Led Zeppelin. They were no "one-trick" pony. There are a lot of sub categories of rock music, and Zeppelin covers a number of them in their first album - hard rock, blues rock, folk rock, acid rock, proto-punk rock, raga rock. "You Shook Me" is blues rock.
You need to learn your instruments! That wasn't a bass guitar going with Robert plant's voice! It was Jimmy Page's guitar singing with Robert Plant not the bass! And Robert singing back and forth with the guitar is called call and response! Keep your videos going I love your reactions you do a great job get the led out!
Tip .when you get into the "stealing " thing............just hold on to one thought........did the blues really sound like this back in "that " era ? I don't think so . just sayin'........Peace and Love
You can definitely hear the blues influence here.
They're having so much fun recording this, you can hear them laughing in the background after Plant sings: "...and I have birds that siiiiiiing" the second time.
Yah. I always wondered what the joke was. To be a fly on that studio wall.
That's Them Laughing ? I always thought that was Some kind of Feedback or Something!? WOW!
That’s Bonham laughing, but I love how they leave things like that in, it adds more to the song.

Plant is an underated harmonica player!

Best damn Rock Album ever!!!
ROCK GODS 👊👊👊
Led Zeppelin blues. Sooooo gooooood.❤❤ Jimmy and Robert were grounded in the blues. Robert is a walking blues encyclopedia.
Robert Plant was only 19 years old when he first sang this song.
It was Lead 🎸 Jimmy on that THANG !! 😂

The only track on the album which Jimmy Page uses a Flying V guitar.

Lead guitar not bass.

No ! bro it was the guitar not the bass
Not really heavily blues influenced, more like blues with a slight Zeppelin style rock influence.
