You're so right, there are NEVER Canadians on the explore page! One time I asked depop on this and they just brushed me off. Sooo discouraging...
Omg really!? Wow, honestly it's probably because we're not "making enough money" for them smh
Great video, very instructive! I learned last week about the free Canada Post plastic sleeves and it's a game changer. It saves time and looks definitely cleaner than a bunch of tape over a shipping label lol
Thank you! Haha yes definitely better!
Is this still a thing? I can’t find the free sleeves
Should be! Are you using a Canada Post business account?
Great advice, girl! Thank you for this video 🎉I appreciate all the help I can get ✨
the label pouches are such a game changer i swear! the amount of times i've gotten mad over cutting tape/shipping labels is unreal lolll (short temper over here) and they were free so it's just amazingg, also i didnt know they came in packs of 10 so i ended up ordering 1000 😅 at least im stocked up now
I know right!! And hahaha it's an easy mistake to make
I’m from Canada, so I really appreciate this. Thank you so much!
as much as its pretty problematic to thrift for resale this is a pretty great/informative video for a massive closet clean-out im doing! thanks!
If you are open minded I'd encourage you to watch my video titled "is thrifting and reselling on depop unethical?". Lots of information in that video! Thanks for being respectful!
It’s not problematic at all.
The thrift stores are more unethical then the resellers - They sale Fakes, they sell things with defects that they try to hide, etc@@AlyciaThrifts
Great video, thank you so much Alycia. Such an honest and simply straightforward video !
I'm glad you liked it! 😊
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing your tips for Depop!
A big thumb up. We're resellers on Ebay and Etsy but not on Depop. Might have to give it a try.
Awesome!! I hope it goes well! What kind of items do you sell?
@@AlyciaThrifts mostly Japanese theme products. We package them on our channel.
Oh cool, I will check it out! 😊
Great video alot of good info for new sellers 🤘
Do we pay for shipping to others?
Great video, just tried it for myself
you guys thrift shop with the express purpose of selling on depop?
hi how did you connect your bank account to receive the money? im using the mobile app and i can’t find the option to do so
love it💗 you should make a video on bundles
What would you like to learn about them?
@@AlyciaThrifts how to set them up i’ve seen some videos already but you explain things the best^^
Thank you ☺️ I'll keep that in mind for future videos!
How can I ship to both US and Canada when depop only lets you choose domestic or international shipping?
Depop allows you to turn on both!
Hey there! Love your videos and thank you for making Canadian content!
I realllllly need a quick word of advice from you!!! I’ve recently started my Depop and I’ve made three sales so far! Two of them were super small items, a hat and thin pants. But Canada post charged me close to $18 for shipping! I made them as small as I could but nothing helped 😰 is this normal for shipping from Vancouver to Toronto? Anything advice at all would be a life saver ❤️
Keep up the amazing work!
Yes, unfortunately shipping between Ontario and BC is super expensive! My advice would be to try and make sure you're pricing your items high enough so that if worst case shipping is closer to $20, you will still be happy with the profits you make! So for example I would price a t shirt at $20 plus $10 shipping. That way if it does cost $20 to ship, I would at least still make around $10!
@@AlyciaThrifts Wow thank you so much! It’s sad there isn’t a better way to ship ;(
Yes, I mean there are other shipping providers but Canada Post is definitely the most convenient! And I think prices aren't much different from other shipping providers as well.
Unfortunately canada post will charge you $12+ for parcels. Domestic forces tracking. So automatically, once it doesn't fit in a lettermail, it turns into a parcel and the weight doesn't really matter (like under 1 kg)
Hey i brought a shoe from depop but the seller deleted the pic after I brought it, he gave me the tracking number and everything but can i know if he can scam me after deleting the listing from his account?
If you paid within the app then he cants scam you even if he deleted the post!
What is your sell trough rate %? Great video btw, thanks!
Oh I've never thought of this, do you know how to calculate it? Thanks!! 😊
sales per day / listed items x 100
Thank you! I'll see if I can calculate it on a monthly basis since I don't post / sell everyday.
Has any Canadian found a way to use Depop payments instead of PayPal?
I haven't seen this option available yet!
How do you decide on your shipping price on Depop. I have been reluctant to use Depop for this reason.
Check out my video on how to ship depop packages, I explain it there!
i would like to start selling but i don't think anyone would be willing to pay for tracked shipping and i'm afraid of being scammed if i do untracked 😭
All my packages are tracked! Might as well try and see how it goes!
What about taxes? Thanks
Hey do you mean how to do your taxes? I have a whole video on that!
I’m 13 and I want to sell on Depop but I don’t have a bank account or anything 😅
Make sure you ask your parents and maybe they can help you set one up, along with their PayPal! I was 13 when I set up my first bank account 😊
Do you have tips to reach Americans on depop?
It's honestly pretty difficult as a Canadian! I've heard a lot of people have success with changing their location to the USA and changing their prices to USD! just be prepared because Americans aren't used to our higher item and shipping prices.
Hi, I love your video bout depop, I just sold my first item on depop, I shipped the item w my own money but Idk why PayPal took some extra money off of my acc. Also I’m not able to transfer my money to my acc from PayPal is it because it’s a first time I’m selling?
Hey! You may be seeing the PayPal fee, they take a cut on top of the depop fee and it doesn't have anything to do with shipping. And yes because it is your first sale you probably won't be able to transfer you money right away until the transaction says complete! 😊
@@AlyciaThrifts thank you!
do you need to use paypal? because i don’t have a mobile number to make an account. can you use e. transfer?
Yes you have to use PayPal in order to sell on depop!
Hey when I list my products on Depop it comes up in US currency…I’ve tried to change it to CDN but can’t seem to get it to work…any tips? Thx!
You can change it in the settings under currency! Keep in mind any items you already have listed will stay as the currency they were posted with. The change would only apply to new listings!
@@AlyciaThrifts both my currency and country are set to Canada and the selling price is still showing is USD even if it’s a new post…weird. Thx for your other selling tips though!
Strange! Maybe get in contact with depop at that point! Np!!
@@sherryphilpotts5258 Did you ever resolve this issue as i am facing exactly the same issue.
Hey there! When you repost your items, do the previous likes it got refresh as well? Seems like it would be counterproductive if that were the case. Thanks!
No! All your likes will stay on the post ☺️
im so confused xD i went to depop today searchin for books and hunger games stuff, etc im in canada and most sellers are from usa. i liked and saved and even msged someone about an item that im interested but they in usa. so does that mean they cant ship it to canada ,only to usa? but we in canada can ship to canada only or to usa too?
Anyone on depop can ship anywhere in the world if they want, but they don't have to!
@@AlyciaThrifts wait what fr :O when i googled if depop ships to canada it said no.. xD but holy shit nice then
