The button on the top front (ZZZZZ) actually dims the display and another button (right front) turns off the RGB lights. Once I figured that out, I had a little more appreciation for this device. Good luck brother!
thanks for the review man! Question - can you set the alarm clock to play music from your phone, such as from Apple Music? And will it do so if your phone is asleep and password protected? Thanks!
Just curious what it does when your phone isn't within bluetooth range, like when you go to work, and what the re-pairing process is like when you get back. Thanks for the review :)
+ShesJo I will connect to it thru Bluetooth and test this out for you. When you connect it to WiFi and use the phone app it'll play files from your phone without connecting to BT.
Yes, you can set multiple alarms. I usually just tell alexa what time and day i want it for then if I have to adjust it I go into the app and change it up.
Problem with my AVS16 alarm is the volume--it is always too loud. You have to set it in the IHome App, but it only goes down to level 4 on the device. I called customer support and they said that volume between Alexa and IHome aren't compatible, but should become better with updates.
Hmm, I want to say I've gotten it lower but I don't want to lie. I'll check and see if I've even noticed this. I don't like the fact that alexa works from 1-10 on the volume but the volume will show like 24 on the device.
yeah they gotta change something about that, like with the smart control stuff the action happens pretty fast but if you're asking it a question or waiting for it to play music it takes a while haha
It aint gots no do not disturb mode like the official Amazon Echo device do? My Echo Dot and Show both have do not disturb modes and the Show dims the display and only shows the time when in do not disturb mode.
I gave away my google mini at a White elephant gift exchange, but ended up with an Alexa. Destiny? ihome looks cool. I like that it's a smart alarm clock, but you still have flashing number when you boot it up.
DVZN Media lol. No worries brother. I only discovered it by accident. I was trying to stop the alarm one morning and the shit just got dark on me. Confused the fuck out of my tired brain 😂
Also - now my clock is just blinking (It got unplugged) and now I can't set the time. I thought it was supposed to say it automatically, but if you have any idea how to set the time, I would love to hear it.
I'm sorry to hear that it's not connecting, did you finally figure it out? You have to have the app and it should just do it all from within the set up. Let me know.
Can not connect to my wifi. It keeps saying "failed to connect", it tells me to contact tech support. Tech support is only mon thru fri 8 to 5pm eastern time. The setup they have on the ihome website does not include how to deal with this problem. I am taking this garbage back for refund.

+ACinSA as soon as I read this comment I went and tried it out thank you for that!
No worries, you're welcome! If that shizz wasn't possible, I would have thrown that sucker out the window!

Do I need to purchase the $9 a month Amazon Music Unlimited to be able to hear the different songs/artists?
I believe you do have to have an amazon music subscription to use that to play music on this device.
Weather from Killeen, huh? Shout out! 10 years at Fort Hood myself.
It's useless if you live outside the US as the clock can not be set to any time zone that is not shared by the US.
Oh wow, sorry to hear that, did you have to send it back?
@@DVZNMedia 2022 and this is still useless shit, it's useless, it's just a speaker. nothing else can be done, the app does not work.
How does the alarm work? Can u set multiple times and days?
Yes, you can set multiple alarms. I usually just tell alexa what time and day i want it for then if I have to adjust it I go into the app and change it up.
Lights look dope, good lows, audio sounds full, nice vid
The alarm is stuck playing unknown music how do i change my morning alarm to play spotify list or better yet, ITunes playlist?
oh wow, it's been a while since I've used this device but I remember it all being controlled through the app.
@@DVZNMedia which app ? i set spotify in the ihomeAVS and it still plays random music for my alarm? so wierd... why?

Maybe after an update they will get Alexa to respond on time before cutting the lights out. Lol. But that beenie you rocking is lit!

It aint gots no do not disturb mode like the official Amazon Echo device do? My Echo Dot and Show both have do not disturb modes and the Show dims the display and only shows the time when in do not disturb mode.
Yeah you can turn the mic off, and then you can actually dim the display.

I love your review. Thank you!
Thank you for checking it out, I really appreciate that.
You dim the display by clicking the snooze ("zzz") button.

You can turn down the dim on the front face by clicking the Right side of the snooze button.

Yeah I need to do a follow up just showing the do not disturb feature.
Great in depth review 👍

Why don't you cross compare with android phones too?!
I use it with my Android Phone, I only used the ipad since it has a bigger screen for the video.
