Kudos for video, but I think you should also mention that this part is not the same as the original (other than the tab that has to be cut from the bottom). The replacement has 4 screws to the shock tower, while the original has 2. To solve this, you either have to drill a third pair of holes in the middle, or, as you did, screw the diff directly to the shock tower gap. The other critical difference is that the part is actually much taller in height, meaning that the central chassis brace that links the front with the rear diff needs to be bent in order to be screwed (this can also be seen in your video, the central brace is bent upwards towards the rear). I have the car since late March, mine came with cogging diffs out of the factory, I ordered the same part. When I screwed it in I realised that the height different puts so much stress in the chassis that I ended up salvaging the gears and cups and using them in the old diff housing. Nevertheless, big up for mentioning the lack of parts, you are the first reviewer that has done so, new subscriber earned!
Hello and thanks for watching, yes I did mention in this video that this part is not exactly the same as the original as on doing a quick search of the part number this diff housing, diff and spur gear set is from the older raptor series of 16th scale trucks and cars, but that is all I could find that would work with this new ex16 model. Im making a custom rc car would like to know the total measurement of the dog bones and the front cvd driveshafts instead of me searching and then the ex16 part does not fit. I would be ever so grateful cheers!👍
ah yes the zd racing part lottery I know it well , my bx-10-e buggy is waiting on a chassis couldn't find the plastic one so had to order the dbx 10 metal one lucky the dbx 10 and my buggy share parts
Yeah luckily some of these parts can be shared across a few models like i found with this 1/16, but ZD should really get their act together and supply parts easily for their whole fleet of model RC's reagrdless of the scale. I have noticed the larger scale models have the most parts listed online. Thanks for your sharing your comment and watching David 👍🍻

Ive avoided zd racing because parts are so hit and miss, ive found a few models that are rebrands or clones but unless you know the original model, parts directly from zd racing are mostly non existent... shame alot of models are really cool, especially this one.
Yeah i agree, i actually have quite a few ZD racing RC's in my collection as it do like the quality for the price and they really perform well, but some of these models are so hard to find parts for and its very frustrating. Cheers for watching and your comment mate 🍻👍
