@@John-e4p1x well I wouldn’t say they are especially sharp when comparing to Zeiss or Leica glass. People usually like them for that softer "Cooke look".
Beautiful lighting! How do you get those nice sparkly highlights on the skin? Is that just the type of lights used, or does it have to do with filters and makeup as well?
Thanks a lot! Well it’s a combination of many things but I’d say the look comes mosty from using harsh lights with no modifiers. The uncoated Cooke glass combined with a Hollywood Black Magic 1/4 filter also helped a lot to create that sparkly effect. Not to mention the color work in post which brings it all to life :)
@@felixsimardt Thanks for the information! Is the Black Magic filter like a Promist filter, in that it helps diffuse light? Also how were you able to control the intensity of the highlights when using harsh light?
@@DynamicPhil84yeah it’s pretty much like a pro-mist with less blooming and cleaner blacks. As for controling highlights it’s just about keeping the lighting ratios the same throughout the different setups. Bouncing light for fill and lowering the exposure helps to keep it even and not too harsh.
wow really looks beautiful! Great work!
brilliant! beautiful tones - using cooke and komodo to their strengths!
This is awesome ! A lighting breakdown would be sooo much fun to see. Your work is 🔥🔥🔥 Thank you for sharing. 😀🥳
This was really well done!
That's a lot more compelling & charismatic than any advert I've seen on television lately!
Looks great
So dope, awesome work
Great work!
absolutely stunning.
Great work, mate. That's another subscriber ;-)
Excellent 🙌
I wanted that to continue forever soo bad
which focal lengths did you use for this?
Also wondering the same thing!
25, 32 and 50!
@@felixsimardt Thank you!
Nicely shot and lit - wonderful grade - my only gripe is that even with a Cooke the Komodo looks so sharp.
Unfortunately yes…filtration helps a lot but it’s not quite Alexa like
@@felixsimardt matters not - good work is good work.
Uhhh cooks s4i MINIS are very sharp dude. They START at 2.8 and are s35

Excellent cinematography and directing - can you share the focal lengths that you used - my guess is a single 40mm or 50mm? But I would love to know.
If i recall we used the 25, 32 and 50 mm :)
