All I want is for Godzilla and Kong to survive. The monsterverse needs to give them the best ending as possible when it’s all said and done and keep them in the monsterverse for future movies
Well, it makes sense for Godzilla’s design to change since he’s always been changing in every trilogy. Legendary is repeating what Toho did with their Godzilla: changing his design in every film (or series). It shows that Legendary cares and respects Toho.
Perhaps cares and respects Toho too much? Because redesigning him from film to film makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It's not like Godzilla wears clothes or some suit on him that can be changed from film to film. Just because Toho did these mistakes in the past, doesn't mean that a higher-quality Hollywood studio should repeat them.

Idk about not having a script done. They've definetly probably got the general story hammered down. It'll shoot next year, I'm assuming. I reported on a lot of solid stuff for GxK, but it's a little early on to get super credible leaks atm.... :(

Seeing Godzilla with the white spikes and a some what Red orange atomic breath will go so hard Also I’ve wanted Godzilla to have an emotional story in the Monsterverse for a long time now so I’m thrilled that it’s finally coming true
I’d prefer to bring back the maple shaped dorsal plates of the 2019 movie just make them a bit bigger and kinda mix it with the Godzilla 2000 dorsal plates and make them white.
Note for knowledge: If Godzilla's dorsals change to resemble a more classic Godzilla design and his roar is heavily modified with classic roars, one of, two of, or all of these things might happen: -One or more classic toho monster will be introduced. -The new threat will be world & lore-changing for the franchise going forward. -Godzilla might get some new power that is reminiscent of a power seen before in the toho movies.(Thermo Godzilla = Burning Godzilla) this is just my speculation
I think it'll be a combination of the pre evolved and evolved with the pre evolved build with the spines of the evolved but the spinss are a different color maybe a white or a baby blueish
Or probably monsterverse would primary using other characters from other era like millennium,heisei and showa those expect like destroyah and spacegodzilla

I honestly I'm excited for the news that Monsterverse Godzilla is getting a redesign as I kind of always had a problem with the design mostly by the proportions looking a bit off.

I love the 1984 design (And it's objectively better than any other Heisei Godzilla design that was made after it, fight me), but I would have say NO to this. Michael Dougherty practically made enough damage to Gareth Edwards's take on Godzilla's design by unnecessarily adding these goofy-looking traditional tail-tip and dorsal plates from the Japanese movies to it, so adding a goofy-looking traditional face as well will just completely ruin the design. If they want to take one inspiration from the 1984 design then it's gotta be the size difference of each dorsal plate on the 1984 design. Just like with the real-life Stegosaurus, it seems like the biggest dorsal plate on Godzilla's back in the 1984 movie was over the back and hips. So that's something Grant Sputter have to do with the dorsal plates in his 2027 redesign, instead of just putting the 1984 face on the Legendary version.

i personally think the perfect heisei design would be the body proportions of the 84 design with the face of literally any heisei godzilla besides the 1984 one, the 84 design is great i agree but the face looks absolutely terrible.
