I've also seen someone wear a zip lock baggie and slip the band over it and it just slides right off

Use a straw and cut a slit in it. Put it around the band closest to your hand and move the black lock nut over the straw. Comes right off
Oh my gosh I still have my wrist band on from my dance convention that happened almost 2 months ago 😭
