      You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I appreciate you stopping by the channel and checking out one of my videos.
      I used to be in the same boat when it came to these stupid spine stickers. I swear that Gamestop had a hard on; for placing stickers directly on the cover art's spines lol. I'm glad that my Buddy Dean had shared this secret with me. Bestine Rubber Cement thinner has assisted me with removing stickers from 100's of games in my collection. It works great on the outer plastic of the games cases as well. I even use Bestine to remove stickers from my cartridge based games as well. I've removed a bunch of old Video store rental stickers from several of my old games over the years.

    Neat trick. They don't sell Bestine in Canada anymore unfortunately. The only sticker i've yet to see removed is the blockbuster security stickers on CD games or those clear library stickers with the metallic strips on the disc artwork. Those are the kiss of death.

      Thank you Joel. That sucks that they don't sell Bestine in Canada anymore. I'm sure that you could use another brand of Rubber Cement Thinner, and that product should work just as well as Bestine does. I wouldn't recommend ever trying to remove those Blockbusters security stickers, that they place directly on the game discs. Those stickers would destroy the precious data that's stored on the top, and they were designed to destroy the CDs/DVDs. I don't know if the stickers would come off with Bestine, but I don't think I would risk it. I've seen those clear library stickers with the metallic strips. I own a few games in my collection, that have the Blockbuster security stickers. I do collect Video Store rental copies of games, I just enjoy the history of the various games. They're a neat little piece of history from my gaming past. I appreciate you checking out my sticker removal video.

      Do you have any ideas on how to remove the clear libary stickers on the disk?. Picked up a few from a libary sale for 2 bucks each and some have high trade value but i cant find anything on youtube/goggle to help me. The games also have barcodes on the paper sleve so thanks for the video, half of my problem is solved.

    I have a few games with block busters stickers on it and it’s on there pretty good.

    • @AsianSleepy

      Those huge Blockbuster stickers that they slapped directly on the backs of the cover-arts are not easy to remove. I hated that they would do that with some of the games, I much preferred it when they would put the sticker on the game's case instead of the cover-art. I would recommend just keep applying the Bestine on the sticker and see if you can get them off. Unfortunately there are some stickers that are almost impossible to remove sadly. Those Big Microsoft Employee Purchase stickers aren't easy to remove either.
      Thanks for checking out my Sticker Removal video. That Bestine has saved 100s of games in my collection over the years. I've removed so many different stickers the past year from my games.

    Hi, great video. I am wondering if this will work on stickers that are on the cart’s actual sticker label? Will it remove the games label? Or just the old sticker on the label?

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello Jose, I have successfully removed old stickers from various Cartridge labels without damaging the actual label. I just recommend being careful with how much Bestine Rubber Cement Thinner you use while working on the sticker. I keep it just on the actual sticker I'm trying to remove and I've had great results. It's definitely something to be cautious about as nothing is 100% full proof. I have personally removed stickers from NES Cartridges, Super Nintendo Cartridges, Sega Master System Cartridges, and Sega Genesis Cartridges. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed my video about removing pesky stickers from your video games.

      I'm Glad that my video was able to assist you with removing stickers from cover art. Gamestop loved to place their price stickers right onto the spines of the cover arts, they could have just placed it on the plastic case lol. I learned this secret from my good buddy Dean from Escape to Gaming. It's been a lifesaver for removing stickers from my games, cases, magazines etc. Thank you for checking out my sticker removal video. Take care and have a great day.

    Very nice! Ive been using Goo Gone and this is a lot better.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  2 года назад +1

      Thank you my friend. I still use Goo Gone myself on the plastic of the game cases, but I would never use Goo Gone on the actual artwork. I've had Good Gone accidentally spill on one of my cover arts, and the color started to come off of the paper and make the cover art look horrible. With Bestine rubber cement thinner, you don't have to every worry about the cover arts getting damaged, or have the sticker leave behind residue, or rip your cover art. I hope you are able to get some Bestine for your collection, and you're able to remove those annoying stickers. It makes games look brand new, and I've save some really expensive games, from having those terrible stickers plastered all over the case and cover.
