    My thoughts
SpaceX is definitely in the running, but just because they can, doesn't mean they will, it would really piss off NASA and subsidiaries.
If/when NASA fails, then SpaceX can step up without stepping on toes.
SpaceX may also include NASA as "partner" or guest.

About Felix' problems with starting a company in Germany.
He's right but be aware that the €25000 you need isn't fees but the minimum you have to put into your company to show that there is something of substance behind your company.(and something that can be used if you fück up and ge sued)

To think about: Elon says they're close to building Raptors for $500k apiece, with the goal of $250k apiece. A single RS-25 costs in the neighborhood of 100 MILLION dollars. SpaceX will be able to build between 4-8 full flight sets of Starship engines for the cost of ONE new engine for SLS. And Starship will bring the engines home. So just in engines, SpaceX will outfit between 16 and 32 Starships with engines for the cost of a single SLS flight. AND...AND...a single Raptor is a little less efficient to orbit than an RS-25, but has more thrust, so total impulse may be really close.
    Crazy.

Almost 3 years ago now, I was regularly tuning into a podcast that regularly talked about news related to spacex and Tesla. One of the recommended videos was by a new channel that also covered SpaceX news. It was Felix’s channel. I’ve been subscribed to his channel ever since and can’t wait to get back into live streams when S24 and B7 start the new launch campaign. What was that other channel, something about a ludicrous future? Idk, why don’t they just get the crew back together. Speaking of transitions.. this one is going nowhere. Keep up the great work both of you!

Thanks for sharing your conversation! Great stuff. I’m a huge space fan, love SpaceX, NASA and all that is being done. It’s not a waste of money. Hoooowwwever, people in space outside of our magnetosphere, long term, is going to be a huge barrier to get past for mankind. The shielding required will need to be developed, which will be another benefit of space tech. It is a hard problem to solve to have humans thrive off of the planet we have existed for all time. Do we have the cajones to get that done?

Listening to your discussion on starting a company and filing taxes is really strange to a Dane. I have started 2 companies so far. Took me longer to register a domain name than registering the company. As for taxes, the only thing I have to fill out myself is how many km. I have commuted to and from work, and that's done by putting in the addresses... if changed since last year, and the number of days I went to work.

To be fair, "government is the problem" tends to translate into "companies want less regulation so they can cut corners even at the expensive of human life", and Republicans like Reagan rake in a lot of money by being able to join those companies after they're done with politics, if they've held up their end.
