Seeing some really good suggestions. I think this is what makes the brig so great, because it's so flexible. A lot you can do with this ship. Really excited to talk about the Sambuk next because it's, by far, the most fun build I've been playing with.
This seems like nice and overall build to use for many situations, I love it!
the royal custodian is good bc you can spam lvl 1 repair kits so u have the 35% damage reduction up for the majority of every minute

Brig with twin winch on front, fire bombards on sides, long 9s on back. Rigging station major for that constant healing at 20% hp, with all manoeuvrability furniture and black prince.

Ended up getting the Brigantine ship and went with the build shown in this video. I understand why you call the Port & Starboard weapons ZamZam's. lol
I went broadside to PVE ship equal to my ships rank and one shot the darn thing.
I have almost the same build as you and have seen this video for the first time. Except a couple pieces of furniture and for my rear shot I have scurlocks long nine guns.
Pretty close to what i run atm on my brig, which i use mostly....
stern and front i run long nines atm though (so more to snipe weakpoints from distance)
Instead of front powderkegs i run the 15% trimming reduction one and major furniture ropelocker for po8 collecting...
based on activity then switching to maj. furniture scrapper station and front powderkegs....
ive got a crossbow level 3 on front demi cannon 5 on left fire bombard 2 on right regular bombard 5 on back and using a motar 3 working on unlocking more guns how do you all get your guns so fast? its a big grind
how many zamzama 3 you have on your ship?
only on sides or on back of ship aswell?
Long 9s front and back for stopping players I'm chasing or being chased by and fire bombards sides. Keep in mind all I do anymore is steal peices of 8 from others it's faster than farming myself and because of it I'm gold in leader bords best build for the brig.
Kingpin 27. Nice. Someone has put way more hours into the game than some of us. I still havent made it to Kingpin 1. Keep getting blown up/one-shotted by level 10 Privateer ships.
I know how good the Brigantine is but ...I really love The Snow. particularly since I got the Water Tank major Furniture. I have not yet been sunk by another player since I got the Water Tank.
What does water tank furniture do
Brig/Sam for me. Also new sub here... Brig I run dards/9s Sam is your normal fire build
Once you unlock the 3 zones and all farms it takes over an hour to collect all the pieces of 8........WTF who is going to want to do that a couple times a day
I m using the Brigantine but the ship i use for the most time is the Padewakang
Same heee but I didn’t find a decent build for any of those 2. A long time I did some good dpd but ad of late it’ts starting to feel weaker
I love the Paddy. I used it sine release (as soon as I got it) but now I’m using the brig with almost the same build as this guy.
I think there is a furniture specifically for demi-cannon (like the Zamzama) which gives 19% bonus damage. Why wouldn't you use that instead of a port and a starboard (2 furniture items) which uses an extra slot and only does 10%. Unless I am mistaken this would free up a slot and give you 9% more damage on this build. You could use the extra slot for a mortar damage bonus furniture.
Actually running an build similar on the Sambuk using the furniture you mentioned. 19% elemental dmg and use the open slot for 10% increase in demi cannon range.
Will test out to see if the Elemental Damage Muliplier performs better than just the outright damage buff. Good suggestion.
I think the stuff in the Helm shop is way too expensive. It's taken me about a week to get just under 1000 pieces of 8. I love the game so far but just don't have the time to devote to such a massive empire operation/the collection of coins. There ought to be other ways to earn the p.o.8 currency like trading in regular silver perhaps (massive amounts) as I'd rather do that from just casually playing and looting shipwrecks/sinking NPCs.@@TheOrderofDylan
The outright 10% outperforms the 19% elemental damage. As the 19% is only 19% of the actual elemental damage only which is relatively low for every weapon, as opposed to a flat 10% on the main damage the difference is staggering tbh.
@@tonykeally1039 agreed. I tried the build on the brig, it didn’t do as well as on the sambuk and the other ship with the explosive bonus. Yeah the 10% feels way better on the Brig.
I still can’t get a royal custodian it sucks. :/

Both hat and jacket are Bounty Hunter set pieces. Hat specifically was from a Telok bounty.
Yea. Make 2 brigantines. First one for pve runs, so all speed all the time. 2nd for straight dps. Lol
In your video, you never explained what weapon you're using on the ship. Just the sides in front
ZamZamas are a waste of a slot you give up so much range it's unreal.
depends on how you play.. combo ramming + zamzam is deadly (where the brig is made for..)
A brig is not a brigantine, and a brigantine is not a brig.
