Hey Carrie, well done with the trekking following the foot pain issues. I have not suffered with that myself but I have heard it's really bad. Good to hear of your Joy Carrie. It is wonderful after so much wet weather. It's a shame the authorities aren't behind their own major trail mind you. If they walked it they would know - evidently they're not out here. Sorry to hear of your plantar fascia. I had that for a couple of years - gone now through dedication. So, all the best with plans. I'm doing Lake District, Scafell Pike and much as I can very soon. 3 days wild camping and washing in the lakes. 5 star treatment for me.

Lovely video Carrie...i agree with you, spring feels very special this year after that terribly wet winter we went through...Shame about the Nev cole way...i used to walk with the Ramblers, i often reported blocked footpaths...nothing ever got done..i used to suffer with the old Plantair fasitius [ i know i have spelt that wrong ]....it was something that comes and go's...thankfully it has not flared up lately,..
You're right, the councils chase the landowners and they then object and so it goes, in one continuous circle and nothing gets done. Seems a lot of people get the old plantar fasciitis- it's a damned nuisance.
Great vid as always, carrie. I'm struggling with anything over 10 miles also ( hence the camping vids) mines more to do with being hit with a 3 ton fork truck 😂, I'm also itching to get back into multi day hikes

I was the same Carrie, did the C to C as a young lad, hostels, bunkhouses, etc. Feel lucky to be able to remember the good ol' days of cheap digs. Feel sorry for young walkers today (and old!), totally unaffordable for many. 👎
When it's cheaper to fly out for a holiday abroad instead of staying in Britain for a holiday then you know something has gone badly wrong. I did several trails using hostels, bunk barns and cheap B&B's. Now everything has gone 'luxury' or 'glamping'. I even looked at a campsite in Reeth the other week, they charged £45 per night with a minimum of two nights camping! I couldn't believe it! Just so you could use a composting toilet. Lol.
