12:53 You can see the end of the loader forks are pushing up into the front end of the Merc where the steering parts are, so I'm going to bet the power steering leak will be from something getting damaged or dislodged from that. Hopefully it is nothing too major. I always cringe hard seeing cars getting handled that way but I understand they have to move them around somehow.
plus he left the forks angled up when he pulled it out. I'm surprised that's all that got damaged. I expected him to yank the bumper cover off the back,

It’s a handle that pops out the boot so you don’t get dirty fingers from closing it after,it should auto pop back in when it shut.
Hahah man I love the way he says, oh, it shifts, or wow, the engine is ok... these engines and transmission are bulletproof, especially the gearbox, even if it kicks it will drive you for years.....

I have been a subscriber for a little over a year. I watch all of your videos so I can catch up. I clicked on this video because I have a 2006 S55. It is a very awesome car. Originally it had 493 HP. It is now a 720 HP rocket ship.
Really lovely looking car Randy, love the Mercs of this era, looking for a CL500 at the moment. $1700 is a steal, I'd keep it and waft about in it 👍🏻

The little metal piece on the trunk is for closing the trunk without having to touch your trunk lid and its paint
Its not bolted to the trunk lid is it ? That would defeat the object of not touching it

Good to hear that Oklahoma is opening up. Just ensure that you follow simple social distancing rules. Only hug the ones you live with. If possible meet people outside and keep 6 feet distance, bring hand sanitizer with you and use it often, mask in crowds etc. The Mercedes seems to have ventilated seets. Thats why they're perforated. It was interesting to see how they deteriorate but you should be able to find good ones on Ebay. Also, I think that you should be able to open the trunk automatically although they saved on the motored closing. Keep up the good job!
Yeah, the silver thing in the trunk is to close it, it's supposed to be sucked back in. Go to Auto Europa Naples on RUclips, he has a lot of videos on these older Mercs
That S430 is such a win. I will buy it without a doubt. I wish I can buy it after you are done with it. Would be nice to see you clean the interior and replace both front leather seats. I’m sure you can go to a pick-n-pull yard and just get the leather covers unless there’s a problem with your seats.
Don't get rid of the cavelier! I'm more excited about it than anything else on the channel right now.

Randy the metal piece on the trunk tells you if the trunk is open or closed when the trunk is open it pops out... When the trunk is closed it retracts also the trunk has a soft close feature to where you don't have to slam the trunk. I have a S55 and it has this feature.

Check the lower lines (radiator etc) the Forks kinda drug when they set it down

Hey Randy, the trunk has soft close aswell! I didnt knew that the w220 had that little handle there. I remember seeing that kind of an handle in a w124 s600 where the handle automatically pulls in and out when u press the button to open the trunk.

Randy, I think you scored big time on the Mercedes and as far as the power steering pump issues, your a Smart guy and I'm sure you will have it fixed soon, I would check around for pricing for either replacement seats or have the original ones re covered, I bet you have local shops around your area that could make those seats look like New again. Just a suggestion. Keep your guard up even though things are opening up in your area. Technically we're still in the first stage of the Virus

For our Buick Enclave we got a set of Nexen tires. The enclave calls for a 19’ which came out to 750 dollars which is INSANE! Good deal with them tires!

@@Tomallenny what makes you think the people who are buying his cars are poor? Someone who buys a cheap car doesn't make them poor. Could be because they prefer older cars, could be for their kid for their first car, could be for someone who can't go into a dealership and finance a car because they have poor credit. There are many reasons why people would buy his cars, not because they are poor. To assume these people who but his cars is pretty messed up.

Older version Mercedes but this one is still a winner. I love my Mercedes-Benz
Not sure if you got a comment on it yet but the handle on the trunk lid is because you don’t have the power closing trunk, however the soft close is not working for it. When it works properly it should hide the handle. Try resetting the fuse first, if it still doesn’t work then you have to find the soft close pump and chase the line for the trunk. I had the same problem in my 99 s500, except mine stopped all soft close features from working. For the seats you can try a pull a part or lkq to just pull the skins off a set of seats. That color interior is fairly common. For the power steering, I hope for your sake it’s only a gasket on the pump or a line that needs replacing not the entire pump or the steering rack. It’s an expensive time consuming process if you have to replace either. But replacing the lines are easy-ish and a lot cheaper.
Kind of shocked about the state of Oklahoma being open for business. Just checked and around 3000 Covid-19 cases and just under 200 deaths. Crazy!

Randy, Check around with some automotive upholsterers or some wreckers for replacement seats (matching the originals). That would up the value at least by a grand

OH and Back on the Copart prowl and scoring!! See you got the German fever again but this is actually a nice one and the price is just stupid.
Really digging these road trip pickups mainly because I am stuck in the house but also seems like you are able to capture some of that lost magic that is a long drive to a new place.
Almost hard to believe this is a Merc since no major issues (yet) and only light on is the TPMS. Even with the power steering leak it could be waaayyyy worse.
One thing I noticed--there seems to be a high school parking sticker on the windshield. Large red bird like a cardinal or something right above the TX inspection sticker. How flippin lucky to have an S Class big body Benz as a high school ride. Had something similar to that Cavalier but a lil bit nicer.
Looks like a profitable flip! Oh and dont rush back into the walkarounds...we all miss them but the last time you got sick you were basically dead man walking. This "situation" is no joke and health is always better than wealth. We are loving all of this content and the editing is so much better. Make the money but be safe doing it.

For a 2005 that seems to be a really nice car with plenty of life left in it. Reupholster the front seats or get some nice seat covers, detaile the interior, fix the busted power steering line or hose and you'll have a great car
PS thats an LWB you got there, the rear window is slightly larger than the SWB and more leg room in the back, the 430 makes a little less power than the 500 but still the same body as the white one you had recently, check out the Pullman, legit S Class Limo its wild

Take it to an upholstery shop and get those 2 front seat reupholstered and get it detailed inside and out and fix the power steering and the wheels that are scuffed up!

Car looks to be well maintained. Maybe take some of the money from that No Title Mazda and the cavalier and make it 100% right. Check with a local upholstery shop and see if they want to do a collaboration with you. Would be good for you, and their business! I think the car deserves some attention.
