Hi m8, can u do a video on how u got into RUclips and what u do for a main job if u have one,,,And how u find these Builds, thx me, keep up the good work.
@@martindonohue900 the K04 for the GTI is like $1,500 USD tops. He installed it himself. If he didn't then total cost would still probably be about $2,200-$2,500. So nah, Australia is just expensive af for no reason
Definitely worth it I'd say as well. Especially the power gains that was gotten. My 1.6 diesel for example with uprated turbo and injectors from the higher hp variant only gives you 25 more hp compared to just a standard mapping which I don't think is worth it
Only watched 3 minutes into this video, i must say Hamza, very well explained by displaying on screen the name and prices of each part especially noting the ‘running total’ in the bottom corner, saves us subscribers from calculating it one by one. 🙌🏻 Its very nice to see a RUclipsr listening to the public and taking notice of what type of video they want or ask for. Such as the total cost of this GTi. 👌🏻 Loving the Subaru, very good choice, this channel is gaining nothing but success Alhamdulillah. 👍🏻
I'm loving the fact that you're adamant on not dropping the GTI build, I've followed so many channels that sold their projects before they've finished them and it's such let down, it's nice seeing you follow through with everything!
TR Hamza since you changed your channel content to your project cars just can’t stop watching your videos, your the best out there I use to watch LLF and Calvin but since your channel content changed, I now just watch your channel so much 🔥🔥🔥 subscribe people and turn your notifications on.
This channel is just different as it breaks away from what Calvin and LLF is about and so many others. Great content in depth reviews, talks about cost, facts and there’s no BS.
Amazing bro .. Been following this build since day 1 and I can say you have single handedly raised the prices of 80% of MK5 Gti over the internet lol.. I need a DSG weapon for the weekend that I can fit the kids in on school run and smile to and from work. Thank you Hamza.. Please detail the suspension and break upgrades to and possibly a raffle/giveaway with you retaining the costs and profits going to charity.
Yes my brother smashing it keep up the hard work defo best car youtuber out there i have noticed guys trying copy with these bulids but still wont be as good as yours my brother keep it up and it shall pay of
Your MK5 GTI kicks ass. I saw another video where a guy used Porsche Cayenne front brake calipers with Mercedes ML 350 front rotors to his MK5. They just bolt right up the car.
When you consider how many cars get that much already stock, for a decent price. Na not really. Theres other better ones to buy. But i will say its decent if soing everything yourself, then its super fair.
You channel better Then Calvin or LLF. Love IT. You have and tune cars that everybody could buy and have fun with Them. Hope you Stay that way. Keep up the good work !!!!!!
You got some good deals on them parts! But all in all thats not a bad price to get a good build on a mk5!! Great job man look forward to more and see what happens with the Subaru!
Have a look a VF series conversion on the Scooby. it will yield similar results in power up to around 330-350 on the 2.0 with similar list required to the Golf. The later 2.5 is an easier conversion and much cheaper as you don't need intercooler or injectors, just the turbo exhaust and fuel pump. Turns it into a mad little car and will probably be better to drive as the power is handled better than a FWD.
Came across this on the scooby forums when looking for ideas. Did have a similar kind of shopping list to the MK5 turbo setup. Was thinking VF35 if the engine is all sound? Need to get a specialist to inspect it before i go ahead
Great stuff mate! I've had a chipped 1.9TDI DSG Mk5 for 16 years now. Finally getting those GTI leather buckets from a 6 GTI tommorow and once I have some serious coin to throw at it I'd like to go for a CDL swap with the K04. Guess it'll cost me well over 5k... engine alone is like 1.5-1.8k euro's without the annexes + brakes + suspension + dsg box, fuck my life, one day I'll get it tho. I love the MK5.
That’s a good breakdown of how much it costs, part names and where to purchase. Good video n tanks for the info! Roughly £4,500 for 350+ ponies and near 400 torques.. nice🤤
*Thumbs up* Paid ~$2500 US for my complete kit... new and used bits. Dont have the S3 injectors tho and never installed my RS4 PRV. Now you need to go R32 rear bumper, Mk6 GTI steering wheel.. and add a BFI shift knob... maybe go to black/white or color cluster?
My ex Golf 5 GTI was @280 hp..and I have to say it was a beast. I have a Focus ST mk2 and for the moment I only have to replace standard exhaust with a 3 inch one, in order to acheive @320 hp! Never been thinking to calculate how much money I spent on parts to upgrade its performance!
Here from the start when you first purchased your S3 FL, as I was waiting on delivery of mine. Love the direction your taking the channel. Will you be selling any of your project builds in the future?
Nice glad to hear you’ve been following for a while! Potentially, nothing to confirm yet though. I am looking to do a variety of cars in future so can’t keep them all haha.
We've capped the torque at 370lb/ft to play it safe. Typically K04 stage 2+ setups are good for over 400lb/ft but at the mileage this cars engine and DSG has done we decided its not worth the risk.
MR SLAV, now you need to do a video "Fastest golfs ever" and end it with something like "...still not as fast as how fast money disappears from your wallet if you're driving a Jeep" :'P (I should know... :'( )
@@TRHamza So with stock internals, 370lb/ft is still within safe limits, even for well driven mk5's (like 170k miles)? I mean, if the engine is kept in relatively good condition? Or would there be risk of blowing up something?
Yeah...Jath! The same thought just came to my mind as well. Is there an R spec version for the Dsg transmission case. If not can , what type of higher spec Dsg fluids is available? Maybe track racing ones would be ideal. Otherwise the clutches will definitely suffer during those rapid gear changes when we start to race a little!
Can you make a list of all the parts you got I want to do a k04 on my Leon and need to know exactly what to get I know you mentioned it in the video but I want it in a written format ... if you don’t mind
Hi Hamza, can I ask you, when you say you have picked some parts up off Facebook, what page did you get them from? And do you have a link to the page. Thanks!👍
Thats not too bad of a price to be fair. Any turbo car you mod turns out this expensive. I like my tdi's and have modded many, sometimes they turn out more expensive than yours! I might have to get a tsi engined car next 🤔
Any plans for selling the GTI in the future bro. Do you think you will lose money on it at all when selling on after spending the £2000+ on the conversion? Great content 👍
Depends, for someone who doesn’t want too much hassle it’s probably easier to get a rough ED30 for similar money and stick on a few bolt ons. For me it’s about content hence doing a conversion series on regular GTI
I’ve been looking at these for a fun little car, do you find the front wheel drive traction frustrates you? Not sure if I should just spend more and get an R or get a GTI and spend more on it
Hope this helps give an idea of how much a K04 conversion (Stage 2+) costs. This excludes all maintenance and repairs I’ve been doing lol
👍 great vid lad

Love that you decided to change up the content with the project car builds
Don't ever think of it as money wasted. The MK5 was a return to form for the Golf and it deserves all the love it can get from its owner.

The way Calvin talks annoys me :)

Level His channel is just to talk about the golf r all day and sponsor his business and sell cars yawn
Yup my man hamza killing it sick content every time
calvin is a flipping mong
I pray for the success of your channel my bro. Very informative and quality content.
Thank you my bro, appreciate it
This is so professional & excellent... top class hamza ... defo hit 100k soon 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Just looking back at this video it’s incredible to see how far the channel has come ! Quite easily one of my favourite channels
What we've all been waiting for 👏👏. Look forward to the subi project
How only 60k subscribers? Your channel is great keep it up my guy!

Top job Mr hamza! It's good to see people still enjoying these old cars. 👍
Good car is good car...
So about £5k all in for a 350bhp gti,
That's a bargain if you ask me.
Is until something hits the fan. Remember the cars done some mileage. Wish him the best though!
Approx £6k if we include a few maintenance bits and brakes needed to handle the power. But yes agreed still a bargain 👌🏼
@@Sbrumtwn well he's sorted and Uprated various parts, including common issues, it should be reliable as a stock engine as long as it's maintained.
If it's got high millage it means it's a good runner in my opinion

Mk5 is a modern classic. Still looks good inside and out, well built and the 2.0 turbo engine still holds its own today.

Loads of content coming! Keep it up lad 💯
Defo plenty on the way
Not a bad investment considering the car is now harnessing 350 plus horses 😎
Yeah great value considering the performance on tap 👌🏼

Fair play for having a go at it yourself mate. 👌🏼

Yeah even after all the handling mods i got left to do its still great value, especially for the performance!
The BBC should sack Top Gear off for... Top R Hamza... Absolute crackin channel. Keep up the good work.
Congrats on the 60k👍🏼
Thank you 👍🏼
Hamza mate, the RUclips money must be coming in bro!!
Haha no profits yet all back into the builds 😂
Great video, nice to know costs. Book some track days in various cars. Most fun you can have in a car.
Ohhh this is looking stunning bro! I’ve a 290 cupra and it’s been mapped and running 350 with 460 NM of torque. Be an interesting race :D

LINE UP THE M2 vs GTI!!!! Rolling runs
Line up the GTI with the M2!
Loving this, great build. Hope you keep going with it, maybe some styling at some point?
Thanks man, and I was initially, but probably keep it sleeper spec at this point.
Leave the wing on the Subaru looks sick
Hamza since you did nearly all the work yourself how much do you reckon the labour cost would have been?
BTW loving the content

That subaru is a on point choice, many more subscribers will come when that starts, everyone's doing German, tbf hamza does it properly
Cant wait to get started properly on it, definitely going to be done to the best standard I can 👌🏼
The best RUclipsr 💯
You should definitely take it to santapod would make another quality video 👍
Drag racing probably isn’t it’s speciality being FWD but it would be good fun I agree 👌🏼
sweet garden garage setup
Love the videos hamza was second to watch this lol
Haha thanks man 🙌🏼
That's honestly not bad, extremely reasonable for what you're getting
I agree, the power gain is huge for the money
Awesome info 😎
Line up looking sick 👍 #evo next!!!
Love the videos still keep it going 🙈
Plenty to come
I do hope the GTi stays. I don’t really like Subies but will cool to watch.
Is that a rib next to the M2 - nice!
Awesomee thanks 😄 for inform us
sending subtle shots there..
TA HAMZA..thanks for the video brother 💪🏻now makes some videos hacking it about 👊
Told you the video was coming brother 👍🏼
TR Hamza I never doubted you bro 😬😂👍just need to see some hacking about 🚗did you get over run added on?
And was the turbo of an ED30 OR S3 bro?
Road to 100k!
Yes!

Have you filmed a run out in the subaru yet? Be good to see it on a blast before you start working on it......
Not yet! Just need one pipe to fix which will be shown in tomorrows video, then its good to shoot a 'First Drive' video to set a baseline 👌🏼
Proper interesting. Must have saved yourself quite a few £££s by doing all of the labour yourself as well. Best part of a grand I reckon?
Yeah easily mate I reckon, there’s a bunch of repairs and part fittings I’ve done too excluding this stuff
Thank you!
How much is your insurance??? With all mods declared
What do you think about a catch can? I've heard good and bad.

Hi Hamza, can I ask you, when you say you have picked some parts up off Facebook, what page did you get them from? And do you have a link to the page. Thanks!👍
Sick content as usual bro you should raffle these projects bro let some lucky subscriber win :) and make some dollar for next project
Next up, restoring a Nissan Skyline GTR R33 or R34 or a Toyota Supra and I'll love this channel even more :D

TR, I didn't find any reference in your vids to a clutch upgrade, I assumed that an upgrade was required if you go above stage one.
a lot spent but doesn't surprise me at all, cars and mods cost money. NICE BUILD LAD
What’s the end goal after making these mods? Sell? Track driving?
what about some semislicks ? :D
What do you think about inserting real time cost counter for Subie?
What oil you are using in the gti? I have an axx engine.
How much did the Remap session cost you?
Hi what oil do you use in your golf?
How much was the fitting /garage costs?
Any plans for selling the GTI in the future bro.
Do you think you will lose money on it at all when selling on after spending the £2000+ on the conversion?
Great content 👍
Wow that is nuts my mk5 cost me 6k 3 years ago. Prices are much different in the US I guess.
Any recommendations on any companies that do bodywork mods for golfs? Heard you talk about r tech doing engine tuning do they do bodywork too
With the K04 Turbo pushing out 350bhp, can the original internal of engine handles all that power?
Would it be a cheaper to buy a gti and then do the conversation or just buy a edition 30?
