this is common practice in Toronto especially if its a shooting victim, the victim may be the only person able to ID the suspect, either way, if they have the units, they always assist in clearing intersections not one at a time but multiple intersections in advance. The Toronto force has virtually dozens of units in each area and most are free and if so they jump in and assist.
That's crazy awesome! It seems a lot of escorts like this happen in Toronto
Yes it's pretty common with potentially life-threatening incidents such as traumas or shootings
It is actually not that common at all. Usually it is police in tow and ambulance leading as speed is not as important as a smooth ride so as to not throw the paramedics around in the back.
Ambulances are the only one of the emergency vehicles that not only have to get to the scene fast but also have to leave in a hurry some times as well.
In my 15 years as a Toronto Advanced Care Paramedic I can count on 1 hand the number of escorted runs we had.
Great catch! Love the decals on those newer TPS units.
We love in a great city
awesome catches bud 👍👌👏
Thank you very much!
Holy smokes why are there so many police for an escort
Just clearing intersections
Hooks & Halligans oo okay
That's cool!!
Indeed
Great catch. I got one of these in #HamOnt and still don't know what it was for.
Thank you! It was probably something serious such as a violent crime.
This looked really good. That video got you another subscriber :)
Awesome, thank you!
Nice!
Thank you
Kipling and Rexdale. I've lived around Toronto all my life including that area and this is the first I've ever seen an escort for an ambulance.
8 units for one ambulance. That’s crazy.
Exactly 1 year, 1 day ago.
Why were they escorting the paramedics? I assume some sort of larger problem, right? Like a major injury?
They were transporting a shooting victim.
I see a brand new Explorer.
You are correct. Also you will see one here too: ruclips.net/video/Y3MqC9dQGHM/видео.html
Why is there more escorting from behind then infront? There should be one or two from the back, the rest in front!
As you go through the intersection one of the trail cars moves up to the front and punches forward to take the next intersection. Like a fame of leap frog. Super dangerous and very rare occurrence. Only legal as well if the officer is out of their vehicle physically directing traffic. Otherwise the Ambulance must still come to a complete stop at a red light before proceeding through.
Love the grey unit 😍💕
"Go! Go!!"
Wow. Those sirens tho
You want to get people's attention don't you??? Because I guarantee you escort or not you going to get some idiot that's going to swear to God that he can get out there faster than they can
Was it an Officer in the Ambulance?
No
Why so many cruisers then? They only need like 2 to leap frog dont they?
Fantastic catch! :D
A M A Z I N G!!!
Thank you!
how much you want to bet it was a cop who was shot, usually theres not that many escorts for your average person
100% it wasn't a cop. E runs are fairly common in Toronto.
@@HooksHalligans not here in Winnipeg unless its somebody important or a witness to a crime who was hurt in the process of reporting it
Agree................no way was it not someone 'important'
STEVE T No, it was an emergency run for a shooting victim. See here: twitter.com/tpsoperations/status/1260029179694727169?s=21.
@@chaosm1105 Yes it was, you literally proved yourself wrong with your OWN evidence.
Toronto needs more concealed gun carries to counterbalance the gun crimes occurring there!
