- Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney says the “biggest weakness” for Vice President Kamala Harris is that Americans “don’t know who she is”.
“There’s still a lot of people out there who don’t know who she is and that’s preventing them, perhaps, from supporting her as enthusiastically as she might like,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“If you’re Donald Trump, who everybody already knows, either you love him or you hate him, you’ve made up your mind about it, you’re probably not going to move the needle by having another debate.
“So why give your opponent ... (the opportunity) to let her fix her biggest weakness.”
Mr Mulvaney’s remarks come as Donald Trump is under pressure to accept a second debate against Kamala Harris ahead of the presidential election.
