Little synth, big thing. Just for the fun of it this great little synth is worth it. Times are tight, and this is an affordable, surprisingly capable, good sounding synth. That you listened. Massive. No one does that anymore.
Very nice move Behringer 🤩🤩🤩 I exactly 1-2 hours ago received my JT4000 Micro and asked myself, "how can i connect it to MIDI" 🤔 why i found your Video. I only hope we don't have to evaluate as long as we did with the first one... 🤣🤣🤣 . Ps. Behringer is the Best 🤩🤩🤩
Kudos Behringer! Still happy with my *pair* of "MIDI via USB" JT-4000's. Running out of MIDI channels... and these do appear as separate MIDI Ports from a DAW (Flstudio). 😁 Either way, cannot beat that "Supersaw" sound...
Oh stop it. They should have had it in the first place. Bu their modus operandi is that they release a poor version first and then comes out with how it should have been allready. They should all bling blinghs from the start. Just do it Behringer! Shut everyone up!
To be honest i had no issues with the original JT 4000. I did a work around with the Akai MPC One + & a USB hub connected to it. Thankfully my idea worked as the MPC One + recognised the JT 4000 and was able to take it from there. 😀
Yeah I have been using midi through MPC ONE since I got the JT 4000 and the thing is a BEAST. I saw this and was a little confused but after watching the vid I get it now. This new version just comes with a cable and has a separate connection for midi instead of using the usb to MPC. Awesome BIG SOUNDS from such a lil synth. Especially running it though Mircro Cosm and Big Sky right through MPC ONE. Good stuff.
O have the non midi version... Guess i have to buy another one😂. Jokes aside I'm happy that they added a midi so i can usually use this with the aira compact devices that i have
Loved my JT4000 and got a great deal on it pre-ordered. But, might pick this one up and gift my brother the old one. I like using MIDI DIN cables for my set up and it was my main issue with the original release, but due to the great price it was totally understandable.
Very cool. I recently got the VS mini but passed on the JT micro because of no midi connection. I know you can use a usb-midi box, but it seemed like a pain. Will order as soon as it is available. Make sure any future micros have this as well.
I am DAW-centric, so if it can do things via USB then it's enough for me. But I guess this MIDI addition is a significant improvement for the DAW-less crowd out there. 🤔👍
Excellent mod. I've got the original one and have used with a midi host but..... It would be good to use it without a host. Is the hardware change just added connections to the pcb /micro and a firmware upgrade. If so could the original one be hacked to add flying leads and a 3.5mm socket ? . If it could do you have any more info ?
Great! And finally :) Where to buy it? It's not listed on Thomann (DE) yet. We're also many waiting for all the mini-synths that Behringer has announced through the years and still hasn't released. Go for it, while we're still alive and can create ;) @Behringer
this was the only thing keeping this insane value synth from being in my workflow, but now this might actually be quite a good option for a dawless setup.
Fantastic news, but also upsetting that I’ve got my JT-4000 sitting here which I now need to sell and buy another JT-4000 to get midi? Is there any trade-in or upgrade programme? 😢
So when can we actually get our hands on one of these? Every site that has it says it's a pre-order, and the ship dates range from November 15th all the way out to like, May of next year. Would be really nice to have a confirmed street date.
Usb c is fine for me, you still need power so not much more than a minor convenience. Good value and sounds ok for the money despite its sound design limitations
A company that listens to feedback should be so much more common
Amen
And you’re including the midi adapter cable? Nice job.
I wasnt gonna buy this, now I have to buy it. I love companies who listen to our wishes and needs. Well done!
Yes, me too!
Me three
X4
That’s crazy that was the one thing holding it back THANKS BEHRINGER FOR ALWAYS LISTENING AND MAKING GOOD STUFF❤❤❤❤❤
Yes. Love this, that you all listened, & the demo jam.
Definitely on my purchase list.
The lack of MIDI on the original was a deal-breaker for me, but this changes everything.
Same. Getting one now!
it's just amazing that with those 3 devices, you can get this huge sound. they all just sound so good together.
Nice one. Well done for listening to us!
Being heard is the most important thing! Thank you!

*It was already great but now i will buy one*
When, where??
They were also showing a low price USB-MIDI host about a year ago. Still hope they're going to release that as well.
Oooh that would be great.
It would, especially if they added in at least a TRS midi pair of plugs.
@@JakeSweeper By the look of it, it has 2 USB type C ports and 1 or 2 MIDI 5-pin DIN connectors
Patrick always keeps it tastefully musical
Cheers James, I really appreciate the comment :)
Loved that jam at the end! 🤯
Thanks :)
So going to get this now
Oh wow, I will actually buy this now!
Baby's first synth, now with midi!
Onward and upward, always progressing. Uli and the boys do it again. And always with a banger jam. Top shelf gentlemen.
Very good update to the JT-4000
Quite simply the best sounding budget synth on the market! So much potential and power now with this upgrade! Thank you!! 😊
Well done behringer for listening to your customers and delivering 👏
Let's hear it for the jam at the end
So excited midi was added! Picking this up for sure 🙌
great. thanks for listening to us Uli
This is great news!🙂👍Also, fantastic to see what is sitting on Patrick's desk behind it! 🥳
🎃 treat time is coming! 🥁
You mean the shelf? 😅😎
Looks like a moular setup, a proton, and a ubxd. Am i missing something?
@@adamkrasneski3679 I think he means on my shelf, if you look behind me in the Intro I've got the LM Drum sitting there 🥁
@@PatchDog oh nice! I did miss that.

Cool tune at the end!😊
Fantastic jam, Patrick!!!
AHhh sick. MIDI Goblin will make thing thing freakin 1000 times better
This is actually serious... Behringer listens... we asked for midi... they did it... wow.
Lol, took em long enough

@@juicythedj750 look at Ableton Move... i bet timing was deliberate.... lol
@@andersnilssondvm haha look at Ableton Move, 500 bucks and no proper midi out at all
@@andersnilssondvmstop whining
😫@Behringer Can I get my jt4000 replaced?🥺
No but we can wait for the USB hub they promised.. Ah no, we're not the priority, just the ones that made it to where it is now...
Yay 🎉 I liked the smash button and was the 1,000th like
nice addition, it was the main thing for me with this little unit because it sounded great
Is the midi implementation document ready? Can someone provide the link for it? Thanks!
Daaaamn! Even including the cable!!!!! 👏
Yes!! Let's frikkin gooo! 🙌 I will buy it on day 1
The synth sounded great all along - all it needed was proper MIDI.
This is awesome. Hope the price stays low, but MIDI opens up a lot of new windows.
This is so not fair
I just bought my JT-4000
I feel you….I was on the verge.
So glad I didn’t buy it yet. The exclusion of midi was a dealbreaker
maybe you can return it.
as far as I understand, the OG version has usb midi sipport
I agree. I buyed this few months ago..
I ended up buying a Kenton USB midi converter for around £80 to integrate mine into a MIDI setup! 😭
Goddamnit I just bought one last week😭
Thanks for that after I’ve already spent £50 on a midi host box
Sweet little jam out
In time for the holidays. I bet this will be a popular gift for synth nerds 🤓
cool when you listen^^
Now I buy one! 🤩
Nice, I get one of those then. How do I change MIDI channel on those?
Super cool.
So useful… that I will have a second jt 4000.
I just bought the original a week ago. Good thing it's 49$. I'll take two!
Yeah, might need to get the new one for chords and arpeggios and play the old one as simple bass or leads.
Thank You
Wow this is awesome!

Yamaha SEQTRAK powers it AND sends midi data USB (on channel 10). Ive heard Korg gadget 3 app recognizes it too
@@ChiefExecutiveOrbiterya, same with a Squarp Hapax.
Great little track at the end mate 👍
Cheers fella 😀 I was wanting to do something a bit DnB, not sure it came out that way tho lol
@@PatchDog bit more twiddling and it’s a releasable I reckon 🙂
@@aussiejuju ahah true that, yeah it needs a solo melody in there, but I didn't need the hassle of connecting another synth lol...😨
Thanks, Behringer.
✨Yes Please!! So good:)
Nicely done. I'll pick one up now! Now... make one with a 12/24db filter curve switch and I'll buy four ;-)

Compré la primera versión sin puerto MiDI 😓, de ahora en adelante no compraré la primera versión y me esperaré hasta la segunda o tercera versión.
Well done Behringer 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Job done, listened, made it happen 👍
Now I will buy it for sure ❤

When you have four of those little buggers running around the house wreaking havoc, the USB-midi + USB 2.0 hub is the way to go... IMO...
I bought the original, should’ve waited….
wow you guys did it again!
What about the people like me who bought the ORIGINAL and wanted MIDI too?!?!?!
Spend more money
throw it in the trash and buy another.
Neat. Just ordered the Pro VS Mini, but I might have considered this instead with a MIDI jack!
But.. I bought the JT-4000 last night.
Fantastic!!! Well done!!! 😍
It's just too small for me. I may buy one for my 5 years old son for Christmas :-)
Wish I knew about this before getting the original.. anywayz, good job!
YÈEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
Have u guya thought of updating the mini line of synths (pro-vs)with a 3.5 midi in AND midi out instead of the 5 pin? THEN adding polychaining???

Beautiful ! The Behringer BOUTIQUE series at fraction of the cost - LOVE IT and buying all of them.
The major difference can be found in the filter section (only ONE single filter for all 4 polyphonic voices).
Nice
If ur still lustening can i get a deepmind 6 in the semimodular k2 format? :)
Mini jack MIDI is a great idea.
BOSS Trs to Trs MIDI cable works fine
It's just a normal stereo audio mini jack, any trs cable should work you just need to be aware of whether it is type A or B
When will this be available?
Too bad for the people like myself who bought the first version. Any exchange politic @behringer ?

Wird es einen Umbausatz für das alte Modell geben ?
Highly doubt any company wpuld do that for a $50 synth
I hope the manual/pdf/website has the wiring diagram for that midi cable so when I lose or destroy it I can make another.
There a bunch on Amazon for like $13.
So how do you know if it is in or not? I mean stores have the okd version still in stock.
The name is different, the Midi version has an 'M' for midi in the model name (JT-4000M). I mean its pretty obvious from the video
Err the model number?
