Basically, the TOD10n comes with qll the asthetics and the color, the mother of pearl on the sides of the body and neck. But the biggest difference is the ibanez preamp that has a tuner, phase changer, and volume, treble, and bass, tones. This one does not have a preamp. so youre going to pay 200 for the inlay, the color, and the preamp. This guitar also has an ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup, whereas the TOD10n has a fishman. I dont know the tonal differences, but Id assume the fishman is better. But dont quote me on that
I think that the only reason you would buy this one, is specifically if youre on a budget, or as he said in the video, if you dont like the way the TOD10n looks.
Seems like the ibanez frh10n @Loner0410 updated - now it has a tuner and amp functions on the guitar. You can see the update on the website. Also i picked one up yesterday, nice guitar.
can we get a demo of the tim henson one? i know they’re basically the same but i think the pickups are different n plus the guitar itself is beautiful 😭
hi ! just a doubt.. could i take this t-bar piezo and put into my AE 325 that is little broken.. the lenghth of the cable maybe is about 30cm.. !?? both uses .. the same custom preamp with 2 x2032 batteries .. i supose..
So I want to use this guitar as a traditional strum-a-long acoustic guitar with a pick. I play three hour gigs at restaurants and bars and it really tears my fingers up. I was thinking if I switched it up and used a nylon string guitar for some of the gig it might be better for the fingers. Anyone have any thoughts?
Sounds like what I would expect. Would like to see a review/demo by a fingerstyle player, which is really more the pocket for an instrument like this (i.e. bossa nova, etc).
How much of a problem is it in a live concert, because the guitar doesn't have EQ and volume? is that sound in the guitar enough and does it cause problems with feedback?
Nice guitar but a few omissions ... I may have missed it ? why no volume / tone control? I have Yamaha’s version and , (with the right tasteful home made backing tracks) it’s an ideal instrument to play at wedding breakfasts / events , sure if you can play classical you prob already own a nice Spanish , but with the decent EQ / Reverb / small pa / keyboard amp / full range speaker you can earn with them , playing sweet sounding background melodies .
i don`t get it also,,,,totaly dumb for What is a purpose of this electric instrument which is electric but not meant to be used amplified....this is a misteery
aesthetically I love this guitar. Sounds great plugged in, but unplugged sounds terrible. Falls in that same category as a baritone for me. Dig the concept but just not sure what I would do with it.
It sounds like your ears need to develop. That or your sloppy playing is exposed when you stop playing with distortion and it sets in that you need to practice, but you blame the instrument instead.
@@razztasticwhy would you assume that @bkmeahan plays with distortion. He/she wrote "...but unplugged sounds terrible". I dont think that distprtion was used when plugged. Therefore your comment is classical jumping to conclusions and pure neuroticism.
Not sure if anyone here can answer this question, but I’ll leave it anyways. I’m looking at buying an electric nylon, but can’t justify dropping a whole $700 on one before I know I enjoy playing it. Right now I’m torn between the Angel Lopez EC3000BK ($400), the James Neligan EW3000CBK ($370), or the Harley Benton custom ($250). Which one of those 3 would be the highest quality for its price?
@razztastic I can't believe you would think he'd answer that question when he's being paid by Ibanez to review their product. I can't believe that we have to share oxygen with you.
I really don't think it's suited to being played with a pic. Realistically, this guitar is an electric classical guitar, there are already loads of electroacoustic guitars aimed at electric players.
Isn't it way easier to play, thats the key point why it exists. It has the nylon sound but electric feel. Not everyone's cup of tea but I will definitely snag one because I like the feel of nylon string a bit better when using finger style
this is a classical fingerstyle guitar, this guy probably doesn't even get it, trying to play sleezy rock solos with the guitar hanging over his groin, jesus
Nice guitar! But please go to the loo before recording a Video! I get nervous watching someone moving all the time! Believe me, it doesnt look like "feeling"! Then get rid of the Kindergarten nail color. This looks gay!
thanks to tim henson for getting ibanez to make this guitar its really cool
sounds like shit to me
tim got ibanez to make the tod10n, this is the frh10n
God bless Jim Henson, he even gave us the Muppets🎉
Any chance we get back to back comparison between TOD10N an FRH10N??

Ooh was expecting Scott's signature nylon but this being £399, I ain't complaining! 😍
Thanks Tim we owe you big time
Pleasantly surprised with a beautiful rendition of John Mayer classic in your intro 👏👏
What is it like unplugged?
i can see how it isnt for everyone, especially when played with a pick but im quite fond of it
And finger picked with nailpolish
can we get a demo of the tim henson one? i know they’re basically the same but i think the pickups are different n plus the guitar itself is beautiful 😭
How does it compare to the TOD10N? given the different electronics
Your playing is great on this Dagan. When they hit the States I'm going to snag one.
Will there be a left handed version?🤞🏻
Would these work okay with a normal electric amp?
Or do you specifically need an acoustic amp?
Acoustic amp 💀
"Can't stop playing it, someone's beeping at me" welcome to a day in my life lol
do you see that.? wear belt side way , professional guitar presenter right there!!
I just got this guitar, and it's super mega dope
I think it looks way better than the Tim version. Black is played out.
Really Good
How much does it weigh?
Should it be played through an acoustic amp?
It is! That Laney on the cab is an acoustic amp. 🤘
@@PMTVUK oh, thanks

Can we have some overdrive sounds 😊
i love that guitar but i'll have to wait at least one year to arribe to Chile

sorry error.. some AE 325 came with 9 volts source like mine.. got exausted trying to search only the t-bar in many web sites..
Does it come in left handed

It's actually super dope for classical style, plsy imo
sounds great

Is this guitar good for classic Jazz ?
Any left handed version?
But can you install strap locks on this?
nope, the strap button on the bottom also serves as the output jack

To make it cheaper. Tims version has that but it's 200$ more
i don`t get it also,,,,totaly dumb for What is a purpose of this electric instrument which is electric but not meant to be used amplified....this is a misteery
What's the model name of your Yamaha nylon string electric?
The frh10n has been updated with those some of those functions now. Check the website.
I like, and I want one
Nice instrument. What hard case or TSA case fits this guitar?
YES TIM IS STILL WITH US, acual fucking cool lookin guitar tho
What kind of amp do you have to use on frh10n/tod10n
Any acoustic amp
I can see the new RGDMS8 in the background, please release a video of it because I've been waiting for something like this for so long.
I'm very interested in this guitar, but the missing volume and tone controls are a problem, I think....
The tim henson version has them. hope that helps,
Playing John Mayer at the start
Was shocked to hear Comfortable right off the bat
I don't know if I have ever heard any more possible buzzing
Why does it sound like it's constantly buzzing
The neck is a bit different width and stuff so might just not be used to it
@@isaacdang7395 it's buzzing on every video I've seen, even on Ibanez official video
I don't know which to buy this on or Tim's. What are the differences between them like why is Tim's more expensive?
I take it there is no battery in this guitar?
There is, one 9V.
You should Try Playing with a simple full range sound system with a little reverb + finger style 🤣

The FRH10N shown in the video is $500, the TOD10N is $700

bro, you move around so much just stand still LOL
Opening the video with John Mayer's Comfortable....
I know right! Takes me back to when I first got into guitar via John Mayer.
There just way to much buzz coming from this guitar. The tone of the cordoba stage seems way better
Looks great and mostly sounds good, but that low E is buzzy as hell....
Yup, it sounded buzzy even on Ibanez official video
Uauuu
I prefere the cordoba stage, like it doos not sound like its running trou cardboard like tim's.
Nice playing, but I'm sorry to say that guitar sounds horrible. Piezo buzz is the worst.

@@groan_of_tedium wouldn't it buzz even more when plucked? All low action nylon strings sound like that
This guitar will sound decent if played finger style. Attacking it with a pick sounds awful especially the rock cliches.
Dreat, but unplug it and let us get that as well!
Hall Laura Johnson Daniel Johnson Charles
To much buzz, and to be honest, it look like little difficult to play.

Would this fit in a Fender Telecaster bag/case?
