Cybershell's voice is just so comforting to me, doesn't matter what he says. It's like a combination of all the friends I've had in my life rolled into one.
About 60% of this episode is just Cybershell's stream of consciousness fed directly into my brain. That's the exact kinda content I'm here for, tbh. I hope that that's the voice I'll be hearing in my head if I develop a schizophrenic disorder. I'm also fully willing to join any paramilitary organization Cybershell's gonna join.
Foolproof plan for protecting the Internet Archive: write a sticky that says "anyone who contributes to the destruction of this site is hella gay" Boom. Untouchable.
I relate to the fucking "people care so much about credit nowadays." because literally I've created so many different videos/memes that have blown up and idgaf about watermarking that shit. I created just to create bc I have autism and it's how I kinda just communicate my funny thoughts. I literally saw someone earlier today watermark one of my videos just for editing in a single photo. A SINGLE PHOTO AND THEY NEEDED TO FULL ON WATERMARK IT. I just don't see the point?? idk, I'll always be anti watermark. I love to be an elusive internet chunglelord. mystery is what keeps the internet fun.
had notifications on for this podcast thinking they'd post consistently, but these two have never done that I don't know why I'm surprised welcome back :)
I'm just imagining some real tacky masculine coded soy, something like MAN SOY with like a lumberjack riding a motorbike on the packaging, and the tofu's been dyed into an army camo pattern to show how manly you are for eating this manly tofu.
NetLore's a great podcast. They talked about the topic for 15 minutes and spent the rest of the episode berating the viewers. Great infotainers they are.
what i kinda dislike about modern memes is that they feel too irony poised or spite fueled. i dunno everything just feels so much more spiteful than it used it
Cyberfart and Bernie thank you for changing my meme mindset. Now I’ll frolick around posting memes without giving a shit until one blows up and someone decides to find all my social medias just to ask if I was the guy who made this just for me to tell them that I forgot I did.
Honestly a episode of the differences between old memes and new ones and how different going viral was would be a neat idea Also the second half of this was great despite not being relevant in the slightest
I think the reason people care so much about credit for memes now is because money is involved now. If your edit goes viral, you can sell it. Put stuff on etsy shirts, plug your twitch etc. In the old days, none of this was possible so people just created whatever and shared it around for fun.
I wrote the joke! I should get credit for writing the joke I wrote! I don't actually give much of a shit about shotpost edits, but if I made Pepe or the Trollface, I would want people to know it was me.
I love how you can tell how much of Cybershell's yapping was cut from this episode and it still feels like he is constantly yapping. Keep up the great work!
i've owned that kurt cobain journals book for probably over a decade now and this entire time i had no idea it contained the first usage of "soy boy" as an insult. this is completely fucking useless knowledge but thank you for enlightening me with it anyway
The talk of subscriber inflation made me think of how near the end of every year when RUclips has a recap and some kind of awards show for people on the platform. It's always filled with streamers, content creators, etc that I and no one in any of the circles I'm in, be that online or offline, have ever heard of before. Yet any single one of them alone has more subscribers on RUclips alone than Vinny and Joel from Vinesauce have on both RUclips and Twitch combined. Hell, you could throw in all the RUclips subs and Twitch followers of every member of YO! Videogames and every former member of Super Best Friends Play in there and it still wouldn't match any single one of those people. Or a few years ago some content creator group on RUclips, that I cannot remember the name of, started trending on Twitter because they were breaking up due to one of them having an affair with another member's wife. They again had a subscriber count in the same ballpark as the people mentioned above. Yet everyone I saw in that tag were only hearing about them for first time because they were trending on Twitter that day, you had to really dig to find out who they were and/or why they were trending. All of those subscribers and yet you never see any of them trend unless they're involved in some sort of scandal, you never see any moments from any of their content pop off and become a meme or anything. Maybe the people that are subscribed and watching them are people that sub and forget and are not chronically online, they only watch stuff occasionally and only watch what RUclips's main page suggests, and think spending more than ten hours online per week is weird. Or maybe I'm just too deep and too shielded within my bubbles. Who knows how any of this works at this point.
Yay! I'm happy Netlore is back! I've been down so many rabbitholes since your last post. I've been really into this podcast called Darknet Diaries Edit: a Know Your Meme Podcast is an amazing idea!
Funny you mention Numa Numa. I heard an English version of the song at Walmart of all places a couple days ago. It's absolutely absurd that we're having nostalgia for old memes that people seem to genuinely, postironically enjoy.
Don't launch the Internet Archive into space, it could get damaged by space debris or whatever. Bury it far underground and have the physical connection to the WAN backbone surface a long way away from it. Like if it's 500 feet directly below where it is now, bury the wires leaning out for at least 3 miles. Put a McDonald's on top of it or something, make it look innocuous. As expensive as this sounds it's still cheaper than space.
Forgot to mention, Know Your Meme is (or at least was) user submitted content that, once approved by community vote, is only editable by the account that submitted it and any accounts that the submitting account allows. Maybe it's changed since I was a contributor, but that's how it worked when I did it.
the long wait is finally over
Only a week.
A very long week.
New Netlore before Silksong 💀
Holy shit john hollowed night cameo
mossbag enjoyers know about long waits 🥲
Oh, hi, Hollow Knight Guy.
Hell yeah, I was getting worried we wouldn't get an episode this week
i legit thought this was dead, then i remembered that cybershell is one of the hosts
It's also worth mentioning that Bernie researches and co-writes essays for half of youtube
He was just dying to talk about himself
You weren't alone
I always come back
fr
damn wasn't expecting an autobiographical episode
it’s okay bernie cybershell threatens my life constantly too
oh shit you watch them too? love your videos man
Oh hey its the computer games guy
yooo love your videos
Nice seeing you here
of course YOU watch cybershell
finally, my favorite schedule-pilled weeklymaxxing podcast returns
Cybershell mentioned YTMND vs Ebaums. I think that's a subject that deserves a full episode. Or at least a YTMND episode in general.
Sometimes I go on ytmnd and just marvel at the absolute desolation that I feel when i visit
Bump
LUELinks episode
we all know Cybershell gets his power-source from there
Cybershell's voice is just so comforting to me, doesn't matter what he says. It's like a combination of all the friends I've had in my life rolled into one.

Taking a painful shit rn and I see this. Thank you cybershell for easing my pain
if i forget the show exists after a week, every episode is a week apart
Settling in for the annual Netlore pod
my favorite consistently uploaded timely produced podcast is back!!!
This episode was worth the wait if only to hear the term “1998 Soy Boy incident”.
I cant believe the thumbnail captured my exact feelings of seeing this on my homepage.
Foolproof plan for protecting the Internet Archive: write a sticky that says "anyone who contributes to the destruction of this site is hella gay"
Boom. Untouchable.
I volunteer to write it. I'm nobody so I'll never be canceled
True
...
It just works
better yet: "hella soyboy"
"Anyone who doesn't wanna go to war...is gay"
All it took was Biden dropping out to get a new Netlore EP...
I'm writing in Cybershell for president
"At this rate, Sonic could be the president!"
This is Kamala's America
Is there a name for that specific cat meme in your pfp? Ive been looking for it for ages and reverse search iant working.
Thanks in advance
Been waiting for next week's episode for 10 months and it finally comes out and it's about me
Cringe
I can't believe you murdered that gay dude in your insatiable unquenchable bloodlust, Harris... Without me!!!!
When's SLA for Sonic 2?
@@AdaraHepburn938MHA pfp
Hhbomberguy enjoys the niche media I enjoy, day ruined.
I like how this episode started with taking about the origins of Soy Boys and ended with a Metal Gear Solid 2 deconstruction of the audience

THEY REMEMBERED THE PASSWORD!
Truly it is as Lenin said, there are decades where nothing happens and there are weeks where decades happen. In that spirit, this is a weekly podcast.
shit, right on. i love that Imagine song.
had notifications on for this podcast thinking they'd post consistently, but these two have never done that I don't know why I'm surprised
welcome back :)
Everyone gets so upset about men eating soy, so why not just make a soy that men can eat? We can call it "Boy Soy" and I'm sure it'll sell.
Dudes rock
Real men eat yummy bugs instead 😋
I'm just imagining some real tacky masculine coded soy, something like MAN SOY with like a lumberjack riding a motorbike on the packaging, and the tofu's been dyed into an army camo pattern to show how manly you are for eating this manly tofu.
The Soy Boy Stand Alone Complex.
If Netlore fixes their upload schedule and posts monthly, I'll do a 24 hours stream of Sonic games saying "I'm sorry, Netlore" every time I jump.
I hate you because thats how i want people to apologize to me from now on
The boys are back and I am absolutely RIGID!
NetLore's a great podcast. They talked about the topic for 15 minutes and spent the rest of the episode berating the viewers. Great infotainers they are.
Shoutouts to Bedhead Bernie
I wouldn’t have it any other way
Internet content creators REALLY need to berate their audiences more often
Been loving the weekly uploads!!
my boys coming in clutch to make the last hour of work bearable
Wow, I had just finished the last stage of grieving, all for nothing.
not even 2 minutes in and Cybershell's already defending his use of slurs in old videos we're so back
NEW NETLORE
that felt like the longest week ever 😭
Somehow, Netlore has returned
I always imagine cybershell's OC as having a large tan dog like lower jaw and any documentation opposing that makes me violently ill
THEY'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
THIS ONE IS FOR US! YAY!
26:20
The irony as the shitty thumbnail image has a watermark on screen is palpable
This episode is actually insane and I hope it gets even more unhinged as the podcast gets more episodes
I doscovered and caught up to Netlore like two weeks ago and was sad to see yall hadn't posted in a while. Happy to see you guys continuing!
Netlore upload on my birthday greatest gift I’ve ever gotten
Happy birthday!
Literally just watched the Pepsi Universe. Can't wait to discover the Soy Boy Galaxy.
So cool for Cybershell to make an episode about himself and his personal experiences.
Im jakking im jakking. Holy gem, 💎 what a gem, it’s flawless though, what a gem.
damn even cybershell watched the 8 hour bomberman vid.
what i kinda dislike about modern memes is that they feel too irony poised or spite fueled. i dunno everything just feels so much more spiteful than it used it
i literally found this channel 2 hours ago and NOW theres a new episode. what serendipity
We ACTUALLY got Netlore 11 before GTA V?
D-Do you mean VI?
That 8 hour video about the history of Bomberman is one of my favorites
Funny listening to this with the whole Internet Archive cyber attack that happened, thankfully its back up at least for me.
Cyberfart and Bernie thank you for changing my meme mindset. Now I’ll frolick around posting memes without giving a shit until one blows up and someone decides to find all my social medias just to ask if I was the guy who made this just for me to tell them that I forgot I did.
An investigation of Sony's abandoned 'meme' movie could be a potential topic, maybe some other abandoned headline bait movies, too.
Wasn't that a hoax?
Honestly a episode of the differences between old memes and new ones and how different going viral was would be a neat idea
Also the second half of this was great despite not being relevant in the slightest
yeah

damn I went to check this channel last night hoping for another episode
A beautiful, timely, on time, persistent, scheduled podcast.
31:27 Bomberman Journey is such a charming experience :)
Pokemon Beefcake and Pokemon Soyboy
Can’t wait to see an episode every week until a certain point where the next hiatus occurs! Seriously love this podcast tho
THEY’RE BACK!!! I love Netlore so much I’ve actually watched your videos over and over again
I wrote the joke! I should get credit for writing the joke I wrote! I don't actually give much of a shit about shotpost edits, but if I made Pepe or the Trollface, I would want people to know it was me.
literally rewatched all of your guys episodes few days ago so pumped to see you back!!

My 2 dads finally came home with the milk
they finally came back with an episode all about me!
i love the netlore upload schedule!
I already cleansed my memory of this video for next year when you upload again, youtubers i found from other youtubers.
Love how off the chain Cybershell got, even the Adobe gap remover tool could barely handle him
Omg. I can’t believe I waited a whole week for this.
I soyfaced when I saw the upload
I think they should launch cybershell into space so no one can airstrike him
Screaming, pissing, coming and crying rn. Don't ever leave us alone like that again
I like the mental image of the internet archive building being lifted into space like in Mario galaxy
