What an excellent review of what seems to be an excellent product. Please advise, for GM Terrain can I test the EVAP system by closing the Evap Solenoid and Evap Vent to seal the system to perform a smoke test with this scanner?
Thank you! Ah yes the scanner does support EVAP Test and solenoid control however actually being able to activate a specific component varies from car to car (vehicles have different levels of control, some allow you to active more things than others) Mucar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!
Great review, about the updates, what happens after the 3 years free updates, can I still use it as normal, or do I need to pay a subscription per vehicle?
Best regards! I have a specific question for this VO7 (S) model. Where can I find information regarding the ECU CODING feature? He mentions the function of ECU-CODING on Line. However I can't find anything about it, on the screen it tells me: "...FULL SYSTEM AND FULL FUNCTIONALITY (EXCEPT ONLINE PROGRAMMING)..." Where I look for the use of these features. Thanks a lot!
Hi L! Unfortunately I have not tested the V07 S so I'm not familiar with it's features but I will see if we can add to the list of scanners to review (list is getting longer by the day! lol) Stay tuned, Cheers!
Thanks ifeanyiezeani! Yes, this scanner supports ECU coding and IMMO (you can see that function around the 8:00 mark) but the ability to add a key to your car will depend on the type of key (there are different transponders and frequencies), the year and model of the car etc. Also remember some cars allow you to reuse non virgin keys, and other cars won't (but this can sometimes be bypassed by a dedicated IMMO tool that can make a key virgin again). Cheers!
Great review, thanks. Would you know if it supports the same features as "Leafspy" for the Nissan Leaf? In the UK Nissan don't allow automatic locking of the doors when you drive away, Leafspy can be bought along with a dongle to change this. If I buy the V07s then will I still need Leafspy or will it do this functionality too? (I don't own the Leaf yet, I'm deciding what to scanner buy first as I need for other cars)
Hi N! Ah unfortunately I have not tested the Leafspy so I can't comment on how it's performance or how it compares to the V07. While the V07 can be used to customize certain vehicle parameters and options, I strongly recommend against doing so to avoid issues down the road with functionality or warranty. Dealers can now detect if a vehicle has been modified or altered (even the vehicle is restored to it's original parameters). And they have often used this to deny warranty claims (even when seemly unrelated to the actual issue) Cheers!
Hi N! As shown on the video, the scanner does have a subscription requirement if you need updates (past the years included). You may be looking at a different scanner, I placed the link to this scanner in the video description if you want to check the listing again. Cheers!

Hi! Nope, if the vehicle's DTC's have been cleared from memory, they will not be retrievable (but if they have not been cleared, they may show up as historical DTC's or pending DTC's). Now if the DTC's were cleared with the V07, yes the V07 does keep a history of the vehicle's troubleshooting, Cheers!
Hi Adam! Yes the Mucar V07 supports brake servicing, you can see that module around the 8:00 mark. The EPB and ABS controls can also sometimes be found under the BCM controls (under the auto scan or manual scan option). However being able to activate a specific component varies from car to car (vehicles have different levels of control, some allow you to active more things than others). Mucar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need. Cheers!
Hi J! Ah I would recommend referring to the service manual as the instructions vary quite a bit from vehicle to vehicle. while this scanner supports IMMO access the process to add a key will also depend on how many keys you have, if your car requires a new pin code, if you are adding a new key fob or a used one etc. In some cases a dedicated IMMO tool will also be needed if you are trying to re-use a previously assigned key fob where you need to make it "virgin" again using the dedicated IMMO tool, or if you are trying to clone a key outside of the vehicle (and other locksmith level functions). Mucar does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to perform the function you need. Cheers!
Hi W! Hi Grudzer! @AlexAutoFun Hello again. Sorry for thinking it was you. Actually I like the review and after researching for some time I found good price on AX. Oficial seller recommends for EU custommers shipping from China. This way it cost me with all discounts and a coupon code only 257€ for S version. It is shipped from the EU warehouse anyway, so you get it really cheap and quick. I'm working on Nissan Leaf battery cell swaps and I hope I can update the new SOH and reset charging counters.
